Thank you for these videos. Your energy and enthusiasm come across so they are a joy to watch, but you are also so relaxed about how you garden. You make me feel good about myself as a gardener too.
The cottage garden I think alot of people like to know about. My husband and I moved in to an older home and so the home looks older. Am looking for ideas for my yard that will look pretty and delightful to see. Our front yard will be our first project. Then will go to the back yard with a garden. So I dont quite know what to do. They had alot of ivy around and know ivy likes to sufercate the plants so am nervous because of that.
Just found you Michelle and already I know I want you as my new best friend. You are so down to earth, my favorite type of person, so informative and energetic. Will be binge watching all your vids. Thank you , will subscribe to see all your vids
I love the help. I had mine started for a couple years but last year my house sitter didn’t water. So I lost so many plants. So I’m glad I hadn’t planted in drifts. I do have some multiples but I wanted to do some singles to be sure I liked it. Some didn’t thrive. Some were to aggressive. I wanted geese go walking. Oh boy does it go walking. So not it needs to go somewhere more contained.
I like stamped concrete as paths in my garden; I got hooked on that after deciding that I do not weed the gravel walkways. Concrete pavers look lovely too
I’m glad I found you! I had a gorg garden at my old home, but i moved and have to start from ground zero. I now have a terrible back problem and I am really struggling trying to get my garden and shape. I really don’t wanna pay anyone else because I want it to be my own sensibility. But watching your video gave me hope because you’re such a free spirit that you made me feel that anything goes.
I've been working on my cottage gardens for over 30 years and it's still not the way I would like. Plants die, sun, shade changes and you will likely want to try that new plant out. Bonny
If you not overly happy with the paint on the pots, try getting a colorful picture of flowers and decpodge onto the pot. Or a picture of whatever you plant in the pot.
That was a fun painting project. I'm excited to see the square planter. I have old square pavers looking for a new life. I've been thinking about using large pots with the bottoms broken out to contain spreaders. I would bury them in the ground most of the way. I can see painting the parts that are visible. Maybe I can find something that looks vintage like it was slowly overtaken by the garden, but really I just put it there and its job is to contain something. 🤷♀️
I might try that. I do know I'm not loving the green, but I don't want tye dye..so maybe I'll do one see what it looks like and decide. Thanks for the suggestion
I think when you do the spray paint on water effect you should stir the water (with a stick) so that you get interesting swirls and designs...even with just one paint color. There are some interesting videos about this techinique on yourtube.
Ooh, I have tarragon in my garden and it grows BIG! I chopped mine down by half several weeks ago. It's already back to the size it was. I find I love growing herbs, but I don't do anything with them. As a cook, I'm sort of stuck in my old ways.
I love Black eyed susans! Even if they do spread their seeds around a little, I think they're worth it. Also this is random but I am one of the painters that were out painting flowers at the Landscape connection -- I think you got some footage of us that day! is there any chance that video may ever see the light of day? I think your videos are really wonderful and id love to share that with my friends if it ever came about!
You are my FAVORITE gardener! Thank you! You speak my language, easy, low maintanance, use what you have, creative, don't follow other peoples rules!
Wow, thank you!

You are so welcome!
It's funny you mentioned we can be free and move plants around.
That's exactly what I told myself today.
Can we be friends 😂 lol! Love your exuberance! I’m planning a front yard garden, so I’m pretty excited to have discovered your channel!

Lots of neat ideas
Hoping for a video on drying your own herbs. This was fun!
Stay tuned..it is coming
I'm really looking forward to the videos. I'm trying to put my garden as a cottage one. Love her advice.
Can't wait to see everything completed!
You can also use nails polish, 2 or.3 colors for a marbled look.
I think your pots might look interesting if you dip the pots in a blue and green combo!
I might try that. I do know I'm not loving the green, but I don't want tye dye..so maybe I'll do one see what it looks like and decide. Thanks for the suggestion
Cool!!
I ove the idea of do what you a

Yellow and blue makes green. Add blue to your mix
I redipped with a darker green
Try letting the green dry and redip
I did exactly that in a darker green. Great minds think alike :)
I live in south Beloit,ill
