according to maharishi shushruta's rajaswala paricharaya the blood being shed by a rajasawala stree is increasing the vatt(element controlling flow)and her temperature also increases pitt vardhanam therefore their hairs become rough.The samhita says because of improper balance women should not bath as the body will cool pitt will again disbalance.Then they should just sit and take name of god no restrictions for chanting names of god "Name of god" not any mantras like you can chant jai shiv shankar aur the mahamantram.Secondly,Vedas say that a Rajaswala woman is equal to a Brahmachari Man Hare Krishna
I've listened so many male priests, devotees & gurus telling women to stay away from shri krishna or any god in periods...but I worships him even in periods he never ever been angry on me and I'm telling you I'm his one of the most happiest devotee...he even gets happy more than I think...bcoz I'm worshiping him even when I'm weak, that's why he always calls me to vrindavan barsana once in a month...and fulfils my every need before I tell about it... these are just human made rules sorry! Periods is a natural process that occurs in females and it is given by Lord Krishna himself, then who can say that the girls are impure. It is Lord Krishna's creation. No one can say that ladies are impure. These are the ideas of this patriarchal society. Thus, period blood is not impure rather it is the most important element on Earth. And Bhakti on God or Goddess doesn't require or cost you anything other then pure love and respect to them.
Prabhuji is not saying that girls are impure while periods rather he is saying that anyone who is not cleaned physically which is purely hygiene can't offer our body to Krishna. As we can't follow pure hygiene in periods because of the bloody flow, it's better to avoid deity worship. Hare Krishna 😊
I also don't worship or pray at home when i get cut or had nonveg that day, i understand that something is wrong in my body. You don't need to takes this on your ego when you are not qualified for any task. You cannot do everything still so dont feel disrespected.

Don't people do puja or go to mandir after putting on a bandage in the place of wound? Same case for us girls too. In olden days women were using clothes on their period which is dangerous for her health and not good for her not to take rest and do a lot of work in Mandir. Her blood might leak through her cotton saree and she'll not feel good about it herself. But now we use tampons and menstrual cup which makes us fee light and good. We carry out all the works very easily. So when a sane person feels comfortable, it's all fine to carry out the puja and procedure in Mandir. Hare Krishna 🙏🏼❤️

Period bleeding is not considered as an impurity. It is the most pure thing in the world. Every human being is born out of it.. so when the women are on periods they are most pure. In early days pads and tampons were not there. So may be some hygiene questions were there. If Bhakti Yoga is based on submission with love- then trust me God will accept everyone in every form.

During Periods the body becomes prone to catch infections bcz when the blood comes out, it remains in the sanitary pads that attracts bacteria.... Menstruation is not impure but the blood which is excreted is .... Any liquid that is excreted from the body by any means considered as waste.... Spiritually pooja kro .. but there is nothing wrong if we avoid certain things for few days...

there are 2 kind of women I met first who believes that we should go to temple during the period and they never been to temple in their adult life i.e. Nastik and second who believes that we should not go during periods and who either occasionally or daily visits to temple i.e. aastik. it's individual decision, nobody is checking you, that you are in your periods or not.

I live in Kathmandu, Nepal. I've visited Pashupatinath temple multiple times during menstruation. Nothing has happened. I think God is kind to me because I consider God the only creator of rules. Cut and periods aren't same. If period blood makes a woman impure than she can never be pure. In fact enture human population is birn out of impurity. When women experience periods, the Apān Vāyu of the body starts flowing from upper to lower chakras which is generally not normal. But in temples, due to regular chanting of mantras, the energy is very high and therefore it provokes "Prān Vāyu or Energy to flow from lower to upper chakras from Muladhara to Sahasrar . When women in period visits temple these two forces collides with extreme force. Power of mantras should not be taken for granted. Almost everyone here, who is saying "No, its only rules made by man......", so, what you are basically saying that you would be ok with having blood mixed in your food, and blood being here and there in your house, and also ok with people coming to your house and walking on that blood and spreading it even more, Right??? I think its the opinion of different people that's being imposed on women. There's no scripture that mentions that women are not allowed inside temples during periods. I don't know why some people in the comments are bashing some girls for going to temples during their period. I know there's a scientific reason behind it and blah blah but if she doesn't have any problem workshiping the god during her period then why should you? I mean, it's non of your business to say if she should go or not and if that's something that is punishable then the god themselves will punish the girl for that and not you. In the earlier era, women had majorly two task, cooking and worshiping at home mandir, imagine if these rules were not made, the kalyuga sasurals would force her to do these tedious tasks when she is suffering from all that pain. When we visit temple,we feel extremely good bcz of flow of energy From the temple floor inside our body which is from lower to upper side so if female visit temple during their periods,the energy flow may Disturb the menstrual cycle causing painful periods or irregular periods or something else...
As per I've heard, when we worship or chant mantras it helps in kundalini rising. But during the women's menstrual cycle, the blood flows out downwards. And at that time if she performs puja rituals or mantra japas, it would help her kundalini to rise (even a little), which would act as a opposite force to the menstruation. And hence, there can be negative impact to her reproductive system and also she might face some severe challenges in future at the time of pregnancy. I don't know about this topic very well but I will just try to explain... So,I heard it somewhere that in early days,there were no pads so girls used some kind of old cloth which was not stuck well so if it moved,blood would fall somewhere on the ground and the Mandir would be dirty that's why this rule was made. Another thing could have happened,that in early days,the mandir's stairs were very long and high,so if girls would climb up the stairs,it could lead to a very amount of cramps.
Hindu people believe menstruating women are so pure that they're 'worshipped' as a 'living goddess' during that time of the month, and therefore a menstruating woman cannot enter a temple as her energy will attract that of the murti, and the murti will become lifeless. I don't think so because there are many occasions when I'm very excited for the Puja in my house because i will be decorating the pravu and the tample , will be making Prasad for everyone ( which I like the most to do) and will be praying and singing Bajan with everyone but just because I'm on my period I am not allowed to do that not just that i also have to see all the Puja from far away .. which is heartbreaking ...i myself have cryied many times because I get my period on a puja And I will be treated like a criminal who can't do anything 😔....no one can understand this fealing expect girl's and secondly no were .. literally no where in our vedas it is written to do so...but the fact is it started because in past puja was not this easy everything was made from scratch and even home water was not used , water was taken from a holy river... so simply doing so much while bleeding and being in pain was very unfair for anyone so women was told to please rest don't do any thing so they don't have anymore hardship expect which they are already going through not because it "asud" . So for now a days when all the things are not that hard so women should do any puja if they want to and if they are not in pain.

Brother the point is to cover the area where there is blood and taking care of yourself and then conducting the puja.
Don't people do puja or go to mandir after putting on a bandage in the place of wound? Same case for us girls too. In olden days women were using clothes on their period which is dangerous for her health and not good for her not to take rest and do a lot of work in Mandir. Her blood might leak through her cotton saree and she'll not feel good about it herself.
But now we use tampons and menstrual cup which makes us fee light and good. We carry out all the works very easily.
So when a sane person feels comfortable, it's all fine to carry out the puja and procedure in Mandir.

When women in period visits temple these two forces collides with extreme force. Power of mantras should not be taken for granted. The energy of the deity and the temple itself is so high that it can result in more menstrual pain, and to the extent of even heart attack for the lady. That's why these PEOPLE with these are considered impure ,and not just WOMEN, but you are not restricted from praying, so you can do your bhakti, even in these condition, as bhakti is not just puja.
Now some will be saying what if are very careful, of not contaminating anything, that is only possible in your personal mandir at home, as you would the only one doing the puja processes, so you van try and manage it, after that its your personal choice, but just think if this same thing at large scale, in a public mandir, do you really think it is physically possible??

I don't know why some people in the comments are bashing some girls for going to temples during their period. I know there's a scientific reason behind it and blah blah but if she doesn't have any problem workshiping the god during her period then why should you? I mean, it's non of your business to say if she should go or not and if that's something that is punishable then the god themselves will punish the girl for that and not you. And for those who are saying that period is something really "impure" and all, Do you know that there's literally a temple that workships menstruation? It's the Maa Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati. Even in 4 of our vedas non of them mention that a woman is impure or cannot go to temples during periods nor they restricted women doing pooja's during their cycle.
So, idk why some people are making such a big issue out of it and calling people naastik just because they have different beliefs than them. As per I've heard, when we worship or chant mantras it helps in kundalini rising. But during the women's menstrual cycle, the blood flows out downwards. And at that time if she performs puja rituals or mantra japas, it would help her kundalini to rise (even a little), which would act as a opposite force to the menstruation. And hence, there can be negative impact to her reproductive system and also she might face some severe challenges in future at the time of pregnancy.
So some people might think why such partiality with women. It's not partiality. The shastras were not made against women, those were made for the betterment of all beings 🙌

I don't know about this topic very well but I will just try to explain...
So,I heard it somewhere that in early days,there were no pads so girls used some kind of old cloth which was not stuck well so if it moved,blood would fall somewhere on the ground and the Mandir would be dirty that's why this rule was made.
Another thing could have happened,that in early days,the mandir's stairs were very long and high,so if girls would climb up the stairs,it could lead to a very amount of cramps.

I don't think so because there are many occasions when I'm very excited for the Puja in my house because i will be decorating the pravu and the tample , will be making Prasad for everyone ( which I like the most to do) and will be praying and singing Bajan with everyone but just because I'm on my period I am not allowed to do that not just that i also have to see all the Puja from far away .. which is heartbreaking ...i myself have cryied many times because I get my period on a puja And I will be treated like a criminal who can't do anything 😔....no one can understand this fealing expect girl's and secondly no were .. literally no where in our vedas it is written to do so...but the fact is it started because in past puja was not this easy everything was made from scratch and even home water was not used , water was taken from a holy river... so simply doing so much while bleeding and being in pain was very unfair for anyone so women was told to please rest don't do any thing so they don't have anymore hardship expect which they are already going through not because it "asud" . So for now a days when all the things are not that hard so women should do any puja if they want to and if they are not in pain.

Let me make one thing very clear, no Vedic shastra mentions about women to not be allowed inside temples during menstruation. Anybody who believes this is straight up ridiculous. Girls and women do not let anyone stop u from going to temples during periods! Period.
Yes no one should stop or even consider to stop someone to visit temple for the blessing of gods regardless of their gender, physical or mental state

There are many real and scientific reasons. Amongst which one is that during periods it is recommended that the feminine take rest due to the level of chemical and physiological changes happening in the body.
