Yesterday my tuition kids wanted to play aaj ki raat, and raat ko kheto mai tu aii nhi songs in our tuition party( children's day) and let me tell you they are all under 12 years of age and the smallest one is in class 1age 7 . I felt weird so i 🙂 didn't played them, instead played bam bam bole and galti se mistake, but it is very important to sensor social media for kids all they watch is reels and these kinds of songs are deteroiting their minds!

Totally agreed with each and every point. As a teenager, that too a girl, I relate to this on a very deep level. It's everywhere, the objectification. Specially in school, you get sexualised by every boy on literally everything. And as a girl, it just stays with you forever. The main impact is the growing fondness of this "dark humor" and "double meaning" culture.

I'm a middle schooler and today while we were going on a trip by bus and literally everybody was demanding to play aaj ki Raat song and when the 8-9th graders did play , everybody was laughing and enjoying like anything and the teachers also seemed to have no objection. Yes these songs do have catchy lyrics and stuff but most teenagers of my age normalise this to a really great extent . Btw loved the video bhaiya , it was truly educating . A few days ago my friend told me that before the diwali vacation the teacher in her institute allowed the students to either dance or sing and se sent me a video of one of her batchmate dancing to an item song. That video really made me uncomfortable. She also said that after that girl's dance the teacher didn't allow anyone to dance.
I have been criticizing this bollywood culture for so long.Happy to see that someone has spoken on this. These vulgar videos can have a huge mental impact on the current genz kids and not only boys but even girls will start to think that it is fine to show skin here and there as they consider that this is the culture and it is safe. Okay so i watched the video completely and it did leave me thinking about the things you said. I won't lie or deny but I'm a girl and I enjoyed Watching or to be more specific, hearing songs like Chikni Chameli, aaj ki raat, sheela ki jawani etc etc, just for the compositions and their catchieness, I do criticize songs like "mere hothon ko seene se yaar". Item songs, I personally don't think needs to be "banned" but yes they definitely need to be reviewed before making them accessible to the public. And as public, we should be cautious while consuming content and we shouldn't actually decide our actions based on what is shown in these songs. So in short in my opinion bollywood needs to review the songs they're making and as public we should consume content with mkre awareness. And about kids dancing on these songs in a vulgar way, there's no such excuse that can e justified, colleges need to have strict rules about these kind of things because schools and colleges are not a place to do these kind of trends, it is where people go to seek knowledge.
Bhai the thing is that there is a majority that consumes such vulgar content and get influenced easily by such lewd behaviour shown in them. You can't say that you have control over yourself then they would too. That's why I highly criticize the overuse of vulgarity in terms of direct visuals or double meaning dialogues being served in movies. It's high time that we stop watching these and criticize it more otherwise the upcoming gen is all screwed up. ( It's already upto some extent thanks to Instagram and all). Still hope people would get it.

Aaj ki raat is more towards the "sensual" side whereas songs like "mere hothon ko scene se yaar chipka le saiyyan fevicol se" are more on the vulgar side. And if u look at it, some dance forms are are originally "sensual", for example belly dance. So I don't think banning songs that are sensual is right, but songs like "fevicol se" portray women as sex objects and their lyrics are degrading towards women too. In fevicol se song, the women is basically telling the male lead to use her like a sex toy but in songs like aaj ki raat, the women is saying "aaj ki raat mza husn ka aankho se lijiye" means she's telling the male lead to respect her boundaries and just admire her beauty with his eyes. And I don't think admiring the beauty of a women is "sexually objectifying " the women There is a difference between two kinds of songs that we often fail to recognize. No hate to Vedant bhaiyya, his videos are wise and well researched, but I think he failed to point out the difference.

Yesterday my tuition kids wanted to play aaj ki raat, and raat ko kheto mai tu aii nhi songs in our tuition party( children's day) and let me tell you they are all under 12 years of age and the smallest one is in class 1age 7 . This is something too deep to be normalised like this. I'm a middle schooler and today while we were going on a trip by bus and literally everybody was demanding to play aaj ki Raat song and when the 8-9th graders did play , everybody was laughing and enjoying like anything and the teachers also seemed to have no objection. Yes these songs do have catchy lyrics and stuff but most teenagers of my age normalise this to a really great extent . Btw loved the video bhaiya , it was truly educating . A few days ago my friend told me that before the diwali vacation the teacher in her institute allowed the students to either dance or sing and se sent me a video of one of her batchmate dancing to an item song. That video really made me uncomfortable. She also said that after that girl's dance the teacher didn't allow anyone to dance.

I completely understand and stand by you, and always try to spread this awareness too, but the problem comes when women themselves are normalizing this. When I show repulsion towards specific content as it would either be sexual or promote things like drinking, smoking, drugs casually, the argument they all throw at me is "Why are you limiting your life so much?" "What'll happen if you do this, one life you have, just live it...."

Okay so i watched the video completely and it did leave me thinking about the things you said. I won't lie or deny but I'm a girl and I enjoyed Watching or to be more specific, hearing songs like Chikni Chameli, aaj ki raat, sheela ki jawani etc etc, just for the compositions and their catchieness, I do criticize songs like "mere hothon ko seene se yaar". Item songs, I personally don't think needs to be "banned" but yes they definitely need to be reviewed before making them accessible to the public. And as public, we should be cautious while consuming content and we shouldn't actually decide our actions based on what is shown in these songs.
So in short in my opinion bollywood needs to review the songs they're making and as public we should consume content with mkre awareness.
And about kids dancing on these songs in a vulgar way, there's no such excuse that can e justified, colleges need to have strict rules about these kind of things because schools and colleges are not a place to do these kind of trends, it is where people go to seek knowledge.
Why not ban these songs ?
Bhai the thing is that there is a majority that consumes such vulgar content and get influenced easily by such lewd behaviour shown in them. You can't say that you have control over yourself then they would too. That's why I highly criticize the overuse of vulgarity in terms of direct visuals or double meaning dialogues being served in movies. It's high time that we stop watching these and criticize it more otherwise the upcoming gen is all screwed up. ( It's already upto some extent thanks to Instagram and all). Still hope people would get it.

Aaj ki raat is more towards the "sensual" side whereas songs like "mere hothon ko scene se yaar chipka le saiyyan fevicol se" are more on the vulgar side. And if u look at it, some dance forms are are originally "sensual", for example belly dance. So I don't think banning songs that are sensual is right, but songs like "fevicol se" portray women as sex objects and their lyrics are degrading towards women too. In fevicol se song, the women is basically telling the male lead to use her like a sex toy but in songs like aaj ki raat, the women is saying "aaj ki raat mza husn ka aankho se lijiye" means she's telling the male lead to respect her boundaries and just admire her beauty with his eyes. And I don't think admiring the beauty of a women is "sexually objectifying " the women
There is a difference between two kinds of songs that we often fail to recognize. No hate to Vedant bhaiyya, his videos are wise and well researched, but I think he failed to point out the difference.
