This is how usually every street food place in Mexico cooks their food. The sides is to keep either enchiladas, flautas, tortillas , or the already cooked beef for the tacos warm. Amazing. 😋
Nice to see people in TX is using the DISCO to cook outdoors like we've done in Mexico for so many years.

From what I've read it was used on cattle drives from Kansas City, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma too
I work for a John Deere dealer here in Colorado. We sell disc's for our John Deere towable disc's. Lots of people come in just for this same application. Heard it works well.

@@OscarZamarripa3108 It is the 4 Rivers equipment in Longmont. We buy the Single discs by the bundles. A lot of people use them for cooking. Weld legs on them.

I love that your teaching what I assume is your grandkid cooking. It takes me back to when I used to stay with my papa and he'd teach me all kinds of cooking skills. Some of my most cherished memories as an adult.

Just to clear up the waters for everyone here. This is a northern Mexico style of cooking. That's why it's called a (discada) Spanish word.
But never the less still a great video👍
It was invented by the Dutch in South Africa called Boers in the 1800s. They use a harrow disc from farming equipment.
You don’t know how much I wanted a grandpa when I was little to show me stuff like this. Instead I had my papa who showed me stuff and I’m still thankful for everything he taught me. I still would have loved to have met my grandpas but they both had passed by the time I was born. She’s very blessed to have you and you are blessed to have her. God bless both of you. I hope you have many more years together 💚

I grew up in Hawaii and my grandpa taught me how to outdoor and indoor cook it was the best time of my life now that I look back I still carry his teachings now in the kitchen watching you just warms my heart I'm definitely subscribing please keep the videos coming

It's never too early to start. When my son was tiny, I searched for things we could mix with our hands. We made " rock cakes " every weekend. A little messy, but time well spent. He's 14yo now and a good cook. You're a great parent.

Great “campesino” cooking. Same style of cooking in the South of Brazil, among the Gauchos. All the clean air you could handle, the smell of grass and cow patties in the wind end the song birds in the background. Love that you keep your grand daughter involved in the process. Used to do the same with my son at the same age and now he can fling a darn good “almuerzo”. Please keep on the good work.

It’s actually called a disco. Discada is a food we make on it.
Eddie Haro yes the correct word is a Disco. Discada is the style of cooking on the Disco. Disco means disc in English.
