As for stripping the Prince/Princess titles from Harry and his family… Queen Marguerite did it in Denmark and changed the rules so that only those in direct line to the throne will have those titles in the future. No reason why the British monarchy can’t do the same.
Altering the Monarchy in the UK is probably one of the most difficult things to do in the world because it requires changing of custom rather than policy. So if you alter one thing, another thing inevitably gets altered. It’s also how the UK still has a Monarchy, it would cause so much social strife and confusion in the UK for years afterward were it to be removed. Also the UK Monarch doesn’t have rights in the way you, I, or even other monarchs do as they are de facto government property. Meaning changes to the LOS or titles is altered by the government when they so choose, so they must have so reason they want the titles kept

I love that William and Catherine have made their focus their children; look at the history of the royal families and how screwed up the kids were, primarily because they didn't have that strong familial foundation with their parents when they were young. William and Catherine have given their children the best possible foundation in the most important years - if it pays off, it'll only make the UK that much better in the next generation.
It's not just that Catherine spends time raising her family, she is credited with being extremely prepared for her projects. Preparation takes time for research behind the scenes. The Wales know how to use modern technology whereas the King doesn't even have a mobile. That's not a criticism of the King but an example of generational differences.

Big difference though between becoming ''celebrities'' - which is what they seem to be aiming for, very tacky indeed - and becoming more modern. The "younger audience" is never going to be interested. Young people often miss the huge value in stability and quality and consistent selfless service. The one time I disagree with my favorite Rebecca…the timing of Harry’s wife’s video WAS intentional. (She was either being kind or she’s now on the Sussex payroll.) This isn’t the first, or even the second or third time Harry’s wife has timed her videos or pics this very way. It’s VERY intentional.

Note to Richard - The videos now being put out by Kensington Palace on behalf to the Prince and Princess of Wales are different from the style favored by the late Queen and Prince Philip. Picky or what? The Christmas cards were satisfying enough for everyone I thought. Plenty of Regal Majesty in the King & Queen’s card & it was lovely to see the Wales family relaxed & looking like a normal family. Entirely relatable. And reassuring the children are being raised to be unpretentious.

I like it too. He has so much poise and command of the facts and sense of humour he can convey strong opinions without ever crossing the line. American here - I do NOT like being hugged by strangers and neither does any other American I know. The suggestion that we go around hugging strangers is absolute BULL.
You do not need a physical hug from someone to feel care and emotion from that person. Everyone that Princess Catherine comes in contact with feel like they have been hugged. Most of the people that Meghan hugs probably feel violated and part of her campaign to help her brand.
When hugs are indiscriminately given out to everyone, it's manipulative, not done out of a genuine reason. Some people don't like being hugged, especially by people they don't actually know. Doing this is a violation of personal space and is forcing yourself on someone. It's a form of control and busting boundaries because they think they can. Meghan looks like a creep when she does that, not emotionally "in touch."

Altering the Monarchy in the UK is probably one of the most difficult things to do in the world because it requires changing of custom rather than policy. So if you alter one thing, another thing inevitably gets altered. It’s also how the UK still has a Monarchy, it would cause so much social strife and confusion in the UK for years afterward were it to be removed. Also the UK Monarch doesn’t have rights in the way you, I, or even other monarchs do as they are de facto government property. Meaning changes to the LOS or titles is altered by the government when they so choose, so they must have so reason they want the titles kept

I love that William and Catherine have made their focus their children; look at the history of the royal families and how screwed up the kids were, primarily because they didn't have that strong familial foundation with their parents when they were young. It's not just that Catherine spends time raising her family, she is credited with being extremely prepared for her projects. Preparation takes time for research behind the scenes. The Wales know how to use modern technology whereas the King doesn't even have a mobile. That's not a criticism of the King but an example of generational differences.

Big difference though between becoming ''celebrities'' - which is what they seem to be aiming for, very tacky indeed - and becoming more modern. King Charles is modernising (and the rousing cheers every time he is seen reflect that), William is turning the monarchy into a celebrity circus. Great if you're a teenager I suppose but not exactly something to be proud of on the world stage as a head of state with a LOT of soft power - probably more than any other country in fact.
The "younger audience" is never going to be interested. Young people often miss the huge value in stability and quality and consistent selfless service. Most people need to mature a bit to see we can't all be irrational, emotional, overcharged idiots, raging and shouting and hysterically crying about every thing. Once we get out of the mean teen judgemental vegetarian stage, we can see it takes all types to run a community successfully. The real problem is, kids are staying in university until they're about 30 now, staying reliant on help from their parents instead of making their own way in the real world, so the mean teen stage lasts a lot longer now
