okay first of all how did you find so many amazing vintage pieces??!? I mean wow! Secondly, I am almost 100% certain I wore a very similar dress to the "country bumpkin" dress for Easter when I was like 4/5 (It was definitely a hand-me-down at the time lol).
If you don’t want to wash it.Try sprinkling the jacket with baking soda and put in a paper bag for a few days. Then just use a rug beater or thrash on hard surface to get the residue out of the fabric.
I get the heebee-geebees not washing items and imagining all the wonky stuff on them- that Jean jacket WILL BE FINE IN THE WASH! Really enjoy your vids and your love of vintage PLUS your PUP is adorable (we’ve got 2 chihuahuas)- i, too, have lots of funky vintage pieces that are my TREASURES❗️✨💫🌟❗️ Just out of curiosity- how much was the LEE jean Jacket?🙂
To get rid of the smell, steam it and then hang it outside on a couple of sunny days. Old cigarette smoke can be stubborn, but sun and fresh air will get rid of most of it over time.
If all other methods fail, put the jean jacket in a paper bag with several pantyhose like socks filled with coffee. The jacket will be all good in a few days. (If sunshine and other method have failed …. esp on leather and suede this works) .. someone once told me that hanging an item like this outside under shelter, in a rain storm helps. ESP if there is lightening and thunder … (weird) …. what did you pay for that lee masterpiece?!

Great video! The tartan skirt is a Maclachlan tartan (I believe specifically the standard Maclachlan tartan). Not saying that it couldn't have been owned by someone with that name, but many vintage tartan skirts have the name of the clan from which they belong to.

Can you explain what made the Lee jacket so special? & how you were able to date it as so old? I'm just really curious because I have a few hanging in my own closet. One is Union Made. Also the blue and white Union Made tag on the coat how did you date that?

I honestly don’t understand why vintage Lee, Levi’s, or Wrangler Jean jackets 60’s and older are so coveted and expensive but they are. 🤷🏻♀️ Also the union made jacket I researched it, dates can vary but never saw a union made label like that before, so I thought it was neat. But I’m not the master of dating things and I can get them wrong the lee jacket is probably 50’s as well as the union made jacket. I forgot what I dated them as in the vid. Hope that helps, I just research things online, that is all. 😅

But my mom said I could have it in the 80s, so I bleached the hell out of it and put pins ALL over it (Prince pins to be exact) and it has been like that ever since. Hangs in my closet as a tribute to my teen years.
I would never find these many things at a thrift store and I consider myself an “experienced” thrifter. Did u find a lot of the clothes at estate sales and antique stores?
Considering thrifting because of you ❣️, quick question though do you wash what you find like if they are older pieces since you did mention you didn’t want to wash the jacket , I’m assuming because you don’t want the fabric to get ruined ??
DO 👏🏼 IT 👏🏼 (well not now because everything is closed 😅) but thrifting is so addicting! It depends on the item, sometimes care labels say dry clean only and I’ll find other methods to clean them or if they are an older item I’ll do the same! Hope that helps 💕

I was lucky enough to find everything at the thrift store 😭🙈 except the denim lee jacket which I found at an antique shop!
