You really DO live a dream life..... .. ..and after all you have been thru.........YOU DESERVE EVERY BIT OF IT, and more! I just adore you, Selena!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️💋♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I absolutely love the 1940's. If I couldn't find anything from that time I'd make my own clothing. My Nonna on my Mum's side, and all my aunties were seamstresses, so I learnt at a very young age how to sew. Then when I had my children, because I was a single mother and couldn't afford much, I'd make nearly all of their clothing. I'd get stopped all the time by strangers asking me where their clothing came from. I would also buy adult clothing from the Op Shops and use the material from that. Now they're all adults and I haven't used my sewing machine in about 5 years. I have an antique Singer that was electrified, and a Singer from the 1950's. Best machines ever. I'm patiently waiting for grandchildren now 😁 xx
Oh I loved the fact that you are trying on your moms wedding dress. Your dad must be a funny guy. I love your shopping trips together and how well you get along. You are making the best kind of memories. I love your home and style plus your blue bird bathroom .so much fun. Take care😍😘🥰
All of the clothing you wear looks perfect on you. you seem to have an insight without even trying items on that it will look good on you but that dress with the fringe that you wore for this video is outstanding.🙂
I grew up in the 40's and 50's. To me it was the best time to have lived in. So many wonderful things happened then. The best part it was before cell phones and computers. Our clothes were so beautiful back then. My mom worked for J C Pennys and brought home some very beautiful clothes at markdown prices. Unfortunately I didn't know anything about how important clothes from that era would someday be so I didn't save any of them. Your vintage dresses are just georgeous. You have just the right figure to wear them. They all looked so beautiful on you.
Oh my goodness, Selena.....you look lovely in all your vintage outfits! Mom looks adorable in her wedding dress....how sweet that you might be able to wear it, also. My churches Women's Ministry did a Mother's Day program called "Weddings of Yester Years". We had a style show of Mother's whose daughter's could wear their Mother's wedding dresses. You would have been amazed at how many we had. I think ten Moms and Daughters modeled...it was really awesome and adorable! As much as you love vintage clothing...l'm sure you would have loved it! Thanks for sharing!
I did have so much fun seeing your beautiful vintage dresses. But I absolutely love watching you modeling them and enjoying, smiling, laughing and watch how much you truly love your vintage finds. 💗
The VERY FIRST video I ever watched of yours was when you tried on your (then) favorite vintage dresses back in Feb 2012! You have come so far since then and I’m so happy to have been along for the ride ❤️❤️❤️ And this might make you smile. My husband still refers to you as Miss Pink Fabulous ☀️
I grew up going to garage sales and flea markets with one of my favorite people in the world, my Grandpa. I’m so thankful for that special time I spent with him and all the lessons I learned. My love of thrifting definitely comes from him. 🥰🥰🥰
The vintage dresses are just so beautiful. I love the femine and graciousness of them. I try to buy vintage as much as possible. I love wearing these type dresses to luncheons, and women's functions. You are a girl after my own ❤
I'm 73 and my teen years were the 60's. Pique was very popular. It is pronounced Pee-kay. From google: Pique is a durable cotton knit fabric covered with a tiny, textured pattern. The cross-tuck knit construction creates a cellular effect with a unique, subtle texture. The term pique is also used for a woven fabric that is covered with a tiny, textured pattern which makes it appear quilted. I love your vlog and I love that you love "our" fashions of the 50's thru 70's.
Hi Selena that was so much fun seeing all your vintage dresses. They are so pretty. I love that black one on you it looked stunning. I don't wear vintage but l love looking at it. That dress with the rose pattern was so pretty. They were all gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing 💜💜👗
ALL YOUR VINTAGE DRESSES 👗 ARE BEAUTIFUL SELENA AND THEY FIT PERFECT ON YOU YOUR MOM LOOKS SO CUTE ON HER WEDDING DRESS BEAUTIFUL VIEDO THANKS FOR SHARING 🥰🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🐝
As a young girl I remember dressing up in a beautiful pink and green large check satin full skirt dress with a black velvet top and playing records on an old victrola! My relatives were so much older and passed before I was a teenager.
I love all of the dresses! But I especially love the red polka dot dress, that is my favorite 😍 that dress would be perfect for a Valentine’s Day date 💕
Beautiful dresses...that blue color looks so good on you! Red does too! Such a shame that times have changed so much that women don't wear dresses like that anymore.
You have that eye for style, All of them were so beautiful!! I remember the video of when you got that gorgeous 👗 dress @ 2:10 !! (Fun Video) I have lots of vintage, however we just don't go anywhere to get all dressed up anymore.. 🥴 You looked Marrrvelous!! 🌹 Thanks for Sharing!! 💞
What a treat to see the pic of your mom and dad. That was so sweet. I too got married in the late 70s. I’m sure your mom was the early 70s. The sequence two piece you have was very popular in the 60’s. My mom had a few. They were very popular. Your collection is fabulous. 🥰
This reminds me of the time me and my cousin came across my aunts (her moms) closet full of party dresses from the 60s we had a fashion show that night. Who would have thought that my aunt the farmer would have such glamorous dresses. Who knows what happened to those dresses. We were in our teens at the time.
I was in high school in the 60's so that was cool seeing your beautiful dresses. I used to go to a lot of dress up events in the 90's when my late husband was in the corporate world. I kept all the dresses for many years but after he passed, I moved so many times I ended up giving them to my granddaughters for dress up and to Goodwill. I wish I had kept them now as I miss them and one especially, I loved that I gave away was the one I called my I Love You dress. I bought it at Casual Corner in downtown Portland in 1988 and it was black velvet on top with a V waistline and three ruffles of purple satin with black velvet circles on the ruffles. My late husband told me for the first time he was in love with me at my company Christmas party. I cannot believe I ever gave it away. Makes me sad and mad at myself.
They are absolutely gorgeous. I love vintage dresses. The 60s era.i love dresses with chain belts an the big and rope belt, and jumpsuits.Thank you for sharing this wonderful 👗 up with us. I enjoyed this❤.
I loved seeing your gorgeous vintage dresses. You look amazing in everything you wear. I’ve always loved women’s fashion from the 40s, 50s & 60s. Those are my favorite decades for how women dressed. My mom had the best clothes when I was a kid. She always dressed feminine and pretty and wore her lipstick jewelry and fixed her hair. She did it until she passed at age 75.
this was amazing Selena, I love the late 40’s And 50’s, I’m a lover of early and leave Art Deco whether it’s furniture, dish ware or clothing. My dream kitchen is still Art Deco. But interesting my favorite dress has to be the pink one, I love anything pink, so it caught me. There all so amazing, as are you💖🌸
Hi Selena! I am so happy when I see a new video from you. I don't get as excited as you do for vintage clothes. I was a child in the fifty and sixty's so it just seems like old clothes. You would fit in Mad Men with the white dress. You look great in all your vintage outfits! Shifts and Sack dresses are what I remember. My 'going away' dress from my wedding was light blue silk seath dress with matching mohair jacket. Thanks for all your videos.💜👗
All of your dresses are so beautiful! 😍 I love your Mom's wedding dress and those pictures of your parents are so sweet. 😊 I love the 1950s because all of the dresses are girly and are perfect for my body type. Wonderful collection Selena 🤗💕💖💕
Love love your dresses you look so beautiful in them you are meant to be in vintage dresses I love my vintage dress that I have had for long time I love vintage clothing to so fun it's fun to dress up The fall and winter I have alot of vintage clothes and ware them especially the holiday dinners we have. So pretty, I have bought my daughter many vintage dresses, I teased her that she was my living mannequin. She was tiny enough to fit them and I really love them😍
Hi Selena ,you look so beautiful in all the dresses my fav was the black 🖤 one ,love 💕 watching you it brightness up my day you are so bubbley and fun 😊
Selena, I think the first dress with the roses, which you by the way look fabulous 😍. The fabric is cotton pique. That black dress is stunning, what a show stopper! I love vintage handbags, my local Goodwill has wonderful bag donations, as you know, the good stuff is in and out quickly. That is my excuse for going to GW a couple times each week! 😎
Hi Selena, Fun to see photos of your Mom and Dad in their younger years. I’m a few years older than Sheila (probably closer in age to your Dad) and I married at age 18 and became a widow 30 years later on our wedding anniversary. I remarried 3 years later, so I like to say I’ve been married most of my life. Thanks for the coupon code. I did my pre-shopping last night. I was happy to see those shoes come in Size 5. I’m petite with a very small foot and have a lot of trouble finding shoes small enough to fit me. I love vintage clothing, so enjoyed this video tremendously. Everything you modeled looked adorable on you.
So many beautiful dresses! I had some vintage dresses from the 50's and 60's but a number of years ago my basement flooded from heavy rains (the house was about a hundred years old) while I was in Florida and several of the dresses were ruined. They were still packed from my move. I was so upset, (ok, I cried!) but I managed to save a few of them. I love that you wear all of them!
They are all great, but the lace is my favorite. One of the best movies of all time is Fried Green Tomatoes. I love the storyline, the acting, the two time periods, and the costumes are beautiful! Your lace dress reminds me of that movie.
Your vintage wear is gorgeous. I would say that it depends on my mood what era I like to wear. If I had to choose I would pick Edwardian or the 80’s. Quite a stretch I know, but they are my two favorites.
My daughter loves vintage clothing. She has different periods - 40' s to Rockabilly. Her figure is just made for them. I really enjoyed your video and the tips for caring for them as well.
Love these dresses. They bring back so many memories. I am a child of the 50s and my mother would have been a child of the 30s and 40s and the dresses were just so beautiful van. I especially loved your mother‘s wedding dress Gloria Culver
I so wish we still dressed like any of the these times. My favorites are the very old style of the 1870's and the more modern, the 1930's and the 1940's. I do have a great looking 1940's crepe dress in black with a tropical ruffle down the side and I can wear it !!!
My favorite Era is the 1920s. Love the Art Nouveau style. Women were very feminine and very fufu, everything was fufu. You look so beautiful in all your clothes. Beautiful collection. Thank you for this episode ❤️. Take care and be safe.
Thank you for showing us your dresses! So fun, hope you do more like this! I hope you do get your Mom' dress altered to fit, and show us, that would be great, and I think your Mom would love to see you in it. Also, I think you would look gorgeous in a white Edwardian dress.
Selena, you are so precious. You are so beautiful in those vintage dresses. The neckline and back of the black dress are perfection. There is adequate fabric in your Mother’s wedding dress to have it altered. I agree ☝️ t would be even better if shortened for you. In my younger years I wore vintage clothes when I found them. I lived in Davenport, Iowa at that time. There was a vintage clothing store in an old gymnasium called Trash Can Annie’s. I loved that store. I had several blouses from there as well as fur pieces that I wore over my off white fur coat. I’m going to check those flats. Thank you for all your inspiration. 💗💕
Lovely dresses, I like the black one on you the best. Your mom's dress was super cute. I think you need to do a picture in a field and give it to your mom for Mothers Day.
Oh my gosh Selena! All so beautiful 😍 your moms wedding dress is so special. I'd definately want to have it altered to fit. My cousins wore very similar dresses to their brothers wedding in about 1971. I own one vintage dress and it cost 20.00 at a local vintage boutique that was going out of business a few years ago. It's white with black polka dots and is cotton.huge hoop skirt I wear it with red shoes, red bow in my hair and red and white polka dot earrings.and my grandma's big black purse from the 50s( that weighs a ton, even empty!)
Hello Selina. I loved all your vintage dresses. Especially the black one and the Shirley Temple one are my two favourites. I love vintage fashion it seems to have more character than to days fashion . My favourite era as you might guess is the 1950's as it suits me the best. I have the disadvantage of my hips being a size bigger than the rest of me which why I love the flare skirts of the 50s I can get the right size for me and it will fit my hips.
You look absolutely stunning in everything you wear. You are definitely not straight up & down, you have a beautiful figure! I love all the dresses, but I really loved the black one! You could wear a gunny sack & pull it off & look gorgeous! I also really love the shoes! I will definitely be checking out their website! Thank you for sharing 💕
Omg! Your blue dress sparked a hidden memory…My sister and I bought similar vintage dresses…and would stand on our street corner dressed up waving to the people that drove by🤣
And you look smashing in all of your gorgeous vintage dresses, Selena!!
You live such a wonderful 'fairy tale' life..you live in a charming Vintage DREAM home that you style like a pro, you wear fabulous dresses and look gorgeous in every one of them, you have a wonderful hubby, and even a doggie named Milly...and a cool cat with 6 toes.. 😺.......AND you have a beautiful singing voice..........yet........ The first dress you showed sounds like the texture is pique, a vintage cotton fabric, pronounced pee-kay. I love it.

That is a great movie, a classic.
I remember the pink party dress and the 19th century bridal gown that you got in Nebraska
Your vintage wear is gorgeous. I would say that it depends on my mood what era I like to wear. If I had to choose I would pick Edwardian or the 80’s. Quite a stretch I know, but they are my two favorites.

Lovely dresses, I like the black one on you the best. Your mom's dress was super cute. I think you need to do a picture in a field and give it to your mom for Mothers Day.
You are just lovely in all your vintage and antique dresses.💕💕

Omg! Your blue dress sparked a hidden memory…My sister and I bought similar vintage dresses…and would stand on our street corner dressed up waving to the people that drove by🤣
U look so beautiful in all those vintage dresses!!
