The turquoise coat from Norway looks like it's part of a "bunad", different parts of the country have their own designs of bunad to show where they are from and they are worn on special celebrations especially on our Constitution Day 😊
Yea, you will have to seam rip the pockets open. Basically higher end clothes will have the pocket sewn closed. That something I can not imagine ordering a mystery box. My favorites are the pullover sweaters. Glad to see a thrift video from you. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
On new clothing (back in the day at least) a lot of times the pockets were tacked (blazers and such) with a looser thread - not actually to keep the garment together but a temporary stitch. Check if where you put your hand in the pocket has a lightly sewn thread keeping them closed and carefully snip just that thread that is keeping the pocket together (like when you reach your hand into the pocket).
That’s what I initially thought it was as well but it’s definitely a pocket they made and sewed completely shut 🥲 a very weird design I have to say 😅 ahah
Oh my gosh where DO you get all these amazing gems?? I was a young woman in the 1970s and would love to find clothes from that era. I would still wear them!
Love the dog art and loved when your dog barked as you were showing it. I collect vintage dog art. I love the eagle vest, the green handmade sweater. Heck, pretty much all of it. That 20's dress....LOVE.
Hello Leigh🌵Congrats on being sponsored for your content. My favorite items are the elk sweater, the 70s sweater with the tie at the waist and the parrot shirt.
Leigh! I’ve been wondering where you’ve been! I was thrifting the other day and I saw a vintage shirt you would’ve loved. I took pics of it to hopefully show you 🙃
You get the BEST vintage pieces. My gosh 😍 Just in case you want to know, C'est Toi is pronounced 'say twa'. It means 'It's you' or 'this is you', in French.
The marching band jacket!? Woooow! Amazing finds as usual.

I loved the 1920s dress, I have yet to find something like that, it is so special, maybe as a wall art piece if it's falling apart?
i wish i found this channel sooner, ur videos are sooooo good

came here to mention the pockets. They do it so they lay flat and don't look bulky on the model/mannequin. They're meant to be seam ripped open.

Still a trick used on ‘nicer’ clothing today :)

Yes, this is what is done. You are to remove the temporary stitches

Hope you are well! Love your thrift videos ✨❤️
Does the pocket push inside the jacket instead of sitting on the outside as they are now. Then the black flap will sit on the outside.
C'est Toi is French (pronounced Say Twa) means "it's you"
