Yea the problem is people put feelings before logic and just bc they were abused people think that murder is right 😂. They still killed 2 people and not in a case of defense we can't just let them free unless we completely change our laws around this

There’s so much proof that they were being sexually abused. Medical records, the letter, the Menudo member that came out recently, family members that heard them down the hall. I pray they get a new trial, or just freed. 35 years is long enough.

Erik was just going to start college. His father wouldn’t let him attend away from home and was continuing his abuse towards Erik. Lyle found out that Erik was being abused. I believe he thought he was the only one?
Anyway Erik didn’t think there was a way to get away from their Dad. And Lyle was so hurt and angry at his father for making Erik go through the same thing.
I do think they deserve a new trial. Manslaughter and should be released.
They both have been model inmates as well as advocates in the jail system.
They had 51 people testify that they knew they were being abused and Erik had a throat injury at 7 "from falling while sucking on a popsicle", and the parents had nude pictures of them in their room
It’s ludicrous how many people think that viciously murdering your parents is excusable due to abuse allegations. I don’t believe their lies! They never told their therapist they were abused until they needed a defense theory. They surely had no regrets for it and they were certainly living the life both before and after their parents were alive.
Because of the film is why I felt bad for them….
The public can go back and watch the trials vs making a judgment from a TV series.

@@emilyectoplasmno they have not😂 they literally were charged with 2 counts of first degree murder that's life in prison. Does not matter if they were abused we can't bend the rules for them
@@tylerspecht7553 oh, but Gypsy Rose, who wasn't abused at all AND manipulated an autistic boy for years can serve 7 years and get another chance? No, it's not changing rules for anyone, it's a case by case basis, with mitigating circumstances. No excuse for murder, but again, they've done their time.

Idk would anyone in their shoes do the same? Kids and guns. But when you have so much hate, physical and emotional pain from your own parents who are supposed to protect you I mean come on. Brothers no less and how we now talk about abuse. They felt no way out.

It was premeditated murder. Any reasonable and legal mitigating circumstances that could reduce the charge does not apply. Why is this case still being discussed? Did they do it? Yes. Between 6 and 8 he is abused so at 18 and 21 they killed their abuser. That’s not reasonable. That’s an unjustified murder.

The series has Lyle talking on the phone about his testimony and he how had mastered the art of crying at will. If that is true, then that hurts their case
the actual tapes with that norma lady are here on youtube. And he never says that. He says "I'm an emotional person and i can move a jury.... so i'm just going to be myself.... " things like that.

Like the family said, the series is garbage! Lyle never said he "mastered the art of crying" on the tapes. That's just one of the many lies on the series. The transcripts are available online so I don't know why it occurred to Ryan to make such a lie when it's so easy to disprove smh
