      I have used only Elgi. So can’t tell you if premier is better in comparison with Elgi. I have heard good review about premier, and I would say you can go with any popular brands like premier or butterfly. One thing to remember is that Elgi has that bar above the drum which makes it inconvenient to scrape the batter while the drum is running.

      We are 4 member family and we prepare dosa batter once a week. It’s sufficient for 2-3 day’s breakfast and snacks for the kids. We use a 2L grinder.

      @@MillennialHomemaker Thanks for the quick reply. We stay in Maharashtra, since more than a year I am planning to buy Elgi Wet Grinder only cuz after seeing many videos I could conclude wet grinder made idlis more soft and fluffy than mixer.

    • @MillennialHomemaker
      @MillennialHomemaker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      From my personal experience, I could make soft idlis from the batter made in mixie. But the process of grinding in mixer is harder as the jar gets heated up frequently. So if you are making idli dosa batter frequently (like once a week or 2 weeks) go for the wet grinder.
      Also please note that the grinder is a big equipment and it takes up good counter space.

    • @prashantn687

Can you please tell me in centimetres, what is the diameter of the drum and its height till the rim, on the inside? I can then relate this with my vessel here, to get an idea on the capacity I need. Also, has it anytime got stuck while putting the grains? Any thoughts on the panasonic wet grinder? Thanks in advance 🙂

    Taking batter out while running is not possible
    A small work around can be done to rotate the mixing hand (white plastic) to be on opposite far side
    To do this, open the locking frame, rotate a component as required. It is easy to do no modifications required
    Now able to take batter while running from near side

      Hi Avula. Thank You for watching the video.
      The power consumption depends on the duration of the usage per month.
      The wattage of this equipment is 150W. Lets assume I use the machine for 1 hour each week, it will be 4hrs per month.
      Energy consumed = 4*150/1000 = 0.6 KWhr per month.
