I am not a native English speaker, but I understand you very well. You speak in clear words and at a normal speed, which for me is very valuable. I just can't keep up with many reviewers. Thank you very much for your clear reviews.
I really appreciate how you always seamlessly show multiple strategies in your videos. I ordered this game after watching as the different strategic looks on display in this game were really exciting.
Thanks for this! There is A LOT of game here and you did a great job explaining things clearly. I can only imagine the amount of work that goes into making a video like this. It’s much appreciated.
What a great great video this is. I really appreciate those tutorials in this manner. Jon, You! Deserve all the credits, because with this tutorials you are the best to explain videos while playing them. That makes it for us so much better to understand. Really great.!!!
Awesome playthrough Jon!!! have just received Imperial stram as a present for Today`s Three Kings of East in Spain, 6th January. Can`t wait to give this excellent game a first trial. Thanks a lot for your well done explanations , and Happy New Year!!
Super great tutorial, thanks Jon! This is going on my wishlist for sure. A very minor note - at about 59:00 you say the "red" player will build a factory when I think you meant the yellow!
Hey Jon! Thanks for this walkthrough, I really like they way you explained the rules, nice, quick and easy:) Also you convinced me to buy this game, so thanks number 2! Have a good day, Piotr
Definitely appreciate this video very much. I was having a hard time diving in to the rulebook for this, so this video was the exact primer that I needed. It definitely got me back on track (pun intended). Thanks Jon!
Once again, a great job Jon, thank you so much 🤗 This game seems so good. Would be so happy you made a full playthrough. But I'm sure you will do it, this great game deserves it.
Thanks for a great video. Can’t wait to play it this Friday? I didn’t realize that when you spend business opportunity tokens you get to ignore the influence cost printed on the stock market board. 😊
@@JonGetsGames felt like was I was wandering through the desert and finally hit an oasis. The extra actions later on definitely helped with learning and seeing the game's full potential
At 11:20 I think this was the first time, and you may have done it once or twice more. You say you take an action and then the next player in a clockwise direction will take their action, etc. That should be in turn order, shouldn't it? And thank you for doing this, it clears up a lot for me and I can finally get this to the table. At 12:45, I missed this the first time around, when explaining dropping down on the Influence track, you said you move left and go to the bottom-most empty space in the column you move to, but it should have been top-most empty space.
A complicated game, well explained. Thx. (If you have 0 influence, can you still perform an action that requires it?) e.g. 0 influence, and raise stock price for -1
Great game, great video. Thanks! I know it's very petty but I have no idea why they chose the term "effort" for the track laying?? Surely "labor" would have been far better to describe the number of workers needed?
The first thing I want to say is: thanks again for the explanation. Very nice to watch it again. But I also have a question: at 1.08 you buy a new train of 50, but I don't see that you pay money for it, do you not have to pay for a new train or did you forget it or did I really miss it?
Man this one looks great! I have watched several of your "Train Game" videos. How does this one compare to some of the others, like Irish Gauge, Iberian Gauge, Southern Rails, etc? This one seems to be the most interesting to me, but I have not played any. Think you finally convinced me to give train games a try...
hey thanks for the tuotrial. Could you buy differently purple workers ? You spent 10+20+30 on one city. But You could have spent 10+20 and then 10+20, and get 4 workers ?
Thanks for the video, looks a very interesting game. A quick question, is there a reasoning for building first the Wood factory instead of the Stone one? They have the same cost but it's more lucrative to sell stone at first...
Huh, I'm usually all into industrial/train games, but this one didn't grab me as much. I think its that the production engine, while there, is only a small part of the game rather than a centerpiece as in, say, Brass. I would play this if someone else pulled it out, though. I do really love the way investors work, it's better than most 'loan' mechanics in games.
I usually do 3p, but sometimes it makes sense to film at 2p or at 4+ depending on the game. I decided it was better to do 2p for this one, largely due to needing to fit all of this onto my recording table.
Good lord, this game looks like it could be fun to play but there is no way I'm going to be able to convince anyone else to try it, there's just way too many rules and things to keep in mind. I'd rather teach Terra Mystica or Great Western Trails then attempt this behemoth.

I think the same

Great walk through as always. I hope this helps more people discover this game. Best game this year (so far) for my money.
The theme for this video is: "I'll get to it later on" 😃
Nice video Jon! Definitely will pick up tjis one.
Another excellent walkthrough. You have a wonderful style. Thank you for the clarity of your thoughts.

Thank you for another excellent tutorial video. I really look forward to get a copy of Imperial Steam. This will be my first "train game".

Glad you found this informative, I hope you enjoy the game :)
Just received the game today. Off course I had to watch the video now. Wonderful teach as always. Ok, ready to unbox then game now 😊
Super great tutorial, thanks Jon! This is going on my wishlist for sure.
A very minor note - at about 59:00 you say the "red" player will build a factory when I think you meant the yellow!
John, you are so good at what you do. Excellent work on this !
Thanks Paul :)
Pretty awesome introduction. The game is pretty unforgiving, but fun to play.
Hey Jon! Thanks for this walkthrough, I really like they way you explained the rules, nice, quick and easy:) Also you convinced me to buy this game, so thanks number 2!
Have a good day,
Piotr
That's great to hear, I hope you enjoy the game when it arrives :)

A playthrough with friends may happen at some point, but at the moment we don't have plans for it. I'm glad you enjoyed this :)

I hope you have fun with it :)
Thank you for that great tutorial ;)
Thank you so much. Been waiting for this!
Wow this game feels extremely heavy even after your excellent walkthrough.
Thank you very much, Jon! Excellent!
Glad you found this helpful Uli :) Hope you enjoy the game if you have a chance to play it. I've been meaning to get it to the table again soon.
@@JonGetsGames I played it last Saturday for the first time and really enjoyed it.
I gotta say, I was a little lost until you delivered that first cube to the hub city and then it all clicked. Adding to my wishlist now
I was worried about how long it took to get there and "close the loop", I'm glad you did get there :)
@@JonGetsGames felt like was I was wandering through the desert and finally hit an oasis. The extra actions later on definitely helped with learning and seeing the game's full potential
Awesome, glad you did one on this!
Great tutorial. Love it. Thanks a lot.
Holy hell what a game

you are right. It´s not clockwise, it should be in turn order ;)
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! 😊
The game doesn't seem to be my cup of tea, but it is fun to find Graz, my hometown, in a game. Doesn't happen too often 😀
A complicated game, well explained. Thx.

Glad you enjoyed the video. I think the answer to your question is "no", but I haven't played since making this video so I'm not sure.
Great game, great video. Thanks! I know it's very petty but I have no idea why they chose the term "effort" for the track laying?? Surely "labor" would have been far better to describe the number of workers needed?
Perhaps it's a translation thing.

Glad you enjoyed this. It does look like I forgot to pay for that train, oops! Good catch.

Oh, I found the reason. You must choose a city and buy all your workers from that city in this round.
Thanks for the video, looks a very interesting game.
A quick question, is there a reasoning for building first the Wood factory instead of the Stone one? They have the same cost but it's more lucrative to sell stone at first...
Huh, honestly I didn't notice. So no, there was no reason. In this case I suppose building stone first would have been a slightly better move.
Huh, I'm usually all into industrial/train games, but this one didn't grab me as much. I was just about to say the same thing. Just didn’t grab my attention.
This looks much better than brass and more interesting why is it so low on the bgg rating list!
It's still quite new, so I think that is a significant factor.
I just finished a 2 handed learning game of this, now to see how wrong I got it 🤣
I thought your thing was that you always did 3 player, playthroughs.
I usually do 3p, but sometimes it makes sense to film at 2p or at 4+ depending on the game. I decided it was better to do 2p for this one, largely due to needing to fit all of this onto my recording table.
Take home message: it’s just like playing Yahtzee.
😉🤪
Its too hard Weight. Good for two players ...? Spain good Channel

Just pronouncing remark, in German W is always V. So pronounce Vien
I'd just go with Vienna
Yeah, “Ween to Trieste” was tough to hear.
