I mostly like Dnb so whenever I go on the Dnb floor, the DJ always plays some terrible Dnb remix of a song nobody cares about, and their highlighted song of their set is always Sub Focus - Desire, if club DJ's actually played some good stuff then I bet the crowd would love it

@@jaynoir6947 my last “DJ concert” (me singing/rapping own songs and DJing normal songs) I did just that: Custom playlist in iTunes with long Crossfades arranged in an order that made the transitions work and had a good flow… and then I spent my time either on the mic or VJing my own custom visuals live to the music!
I do love Beethoven, but if you had mixed in some Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, and Holst, it would have added some fire to the flames and really gotten that party started!! I am a musician myself, and have a heart for classical music. I do understand how to manipulate it to keep the sound, but give the feel of a different genre. Great Job!!!!
as a sound tech for a club in Seattle, i can tell you now that your performance was more unique and full of character than 99% of acts that pass through a typical electronic music joint. the fact that you managed to include a live performance component with little to no training beyond the scope of this video is absolutely spectacular and i commend you for it! it's an absolute shame that most club-goers don't have the care to pay mind when a great act comes on stage... gimmick or otherwise. huge shoutout to your promoter hookup for the recognition and flexibility to let weirdness into the scene
Yah, pretty much anything billed as "EDM" is guaranteed to be characterless, soulless trash. EDM is supposed to be an umbrella term for thousands of different types of music, not a genra in of itself.... Which tries to incorporate things from All of the types under it and again is trash. Last time I went to Burning Man, 90‰+ of the music was EDM... I wanted to scream. Happily, I had hurt a rib and couldn't really dance anyway so I wasn't subjected to the trash.
Curious which club do run tech for? And agreed, if I saw something like this at a club that would make my night, I love DJs who don’t just play the same basic beats.

i am not gonna get tired of saying it: if i had the chance to somehow transport a historic figure to this day and age, i would take mozart and let him go wild at an underground rave with a synthesizer/looper, while hes rolling.
Why? The music in this video was clearly made in a rush and poorly executed. Taking a melody from one of the greats and slapping a beat under it does not automatically make good music. The the idea of turning classical bangers into house is great, but this time was not it.
There are quite a few electronic remixes of classical pieces out there, more common seems to be trance remixes. Probably because letting the string dominated sections come through where a trance track would usually drop out into the long trancy notes just works, they actually have a similar vibe.
To be honest, instead of doing "Beethoven turns out to be dance music", you should have tried "Dance music turns out to be Beethoven". Get their attention first, pull them into you trap, and see how much "dance" you can pull out before they stop vibing. That conducting bit should have been at the end.
As someone with a toe in the live music scene, the fact you managed to perform in front of that many people without ever having played before is remarkable. Personally, I'm glad for any crowd that's better than four guys and a dog (plus half of whatever other bands are on the same gig). I'm not into house or most edm types of music but I appreciated the snippets we heard here.
As someone familiar with the scene, yes, and those 4 guys are just the band's friends or relatives, and the dog is a stray that wanders in to eat leftover kebabs.
I actually like the validation in this video. You do so much amazingly weird crap, there has to be a few that don't instantly resonate with everyone, but was still fun to do.

But "Black Sabbath" by "Black Sabbath" from the album "Black Sabbath" (😄) is widely considered the birth of true metal. The opening riff is actually based on Gustav Holst's "Mars" - something Tony Iommi himself admits.
For 20 years I thought of doing exactly that in a club. I was a DJ and was doing OK, never did that. Thank you for reminding me of that. Some ideas how ever awesome they sound just don't do it for drunkards in the clubs. Big respect for sticking it out. I couldn't continue if the first 6 mins didn't go well

The fact that here in Norway we have a big music group who produces party music, called BEATHOVEN! The irony is huge lmao. They have been nr 1 in the norwegian charts and etc loool
I seem to recall this happening back in the late 80s/early 90s when someone put out an album just called "Technoclassics" Available on LP & cassette tape but a couple of quick searches show the internet is largely unaware of it's existence. Aside from that, good effort and a genuine laugh, cheers for that now I'm off to work.
I would pay money to hear a club mix of the 1st movement of Beethoven’s “Eroica” symphony (especially the insane middle section) and the ‘satanic dance’ (2nd movement) from his symphony No. 9 Also some moments from Fidelio and from the Pathétique sonata (those melodramatic opening chords & the absolutely virtuosic riffs that follow them) 🍸👌
Isn't that just the way it goes? Sometimes in our heads things will work out different than expected. The regular population does not realize the time put into events etc. I don't think most people know the time that is put into each TH-cam video either or TV shows for that matter. Literally 2 days of filming and 2 weeks of editing can end in less than 30 minutes of public ready content not counting commercial time. Oh my my my! Great video!

Isn't that just the way it goes? Sometimes in our heads things will work out different than expected. The regular population does not realize the time put into events etc. I don't think most people know the time that is put into each TH-cam video either or TV shows for that matter. Literally 2 days of filming and 2 weeks of editing can end in less than 30 minutes of public ready content not counting commercial time. Oh my my my! Great video!
