In limbus company, the main cast can channel the abilities of altetnate worlds version of themselves to fight and stuff. Theres another mod for heathcliff (unless it got deleted, i havent checked) thats of a differentt one of his alternates called Wild Hunt/Erlking. They each have different backstories and stuff. Very complicated.
To be more clear on the two Heathcliffs, Sunshower is a reality where Heathcliff join the technology liberation alliance, who are trying to stop the progresses of K-corps technology as they believe it’s only causing more harm to people, after running away from weithering heights. He comes to use the ego armor and weapon of the abnormality drifting fox from an old L-corp facility to do so, lamenting that he’s using old technology to destroy technology, noting that when he put it the attire a gloom wrapped around him(which is because egos are manifestations of the mind, and using one from the embodiment of another mind, which abnormalities are, drive people insane if they aren’t compatible, less so if they aren’t) Elking/Wildhunt actually has 2 similar but different versions, which are spoilers… So the first version we get to know is from Heathcliffs canto, where we don’t actually meet him as Heathcliff but as Heathcliffs old boss of the rabbit gang. Our Heathcliff soon figures out his boss isn’t who he said he is but instead an alternate Heathcliff from the mirror world who wants to kill every Heathcliff from every world. The reason behind this is also what started the main incident outside of Erlking appearing, Heathcliff’s love, Catherine, trying to erase herself from every mirror world because in every mirror world because they’re the reason why Heathcliff comes to suffer. Likewise, Erlking has come to learn of a similar truth, every Heathcliff is the reason why every Catherine comes to suffer. So while our Catherine did everything to create a device capable of erasing every version of herself from the multiverse, Erlking has clawed his way through the multiverse to personally kill every Heathcliff he could find. The second version we meet is the identity we use for our heathcliff in battle, this one doesn’t want to avenge his love, but instead wants to be the only Heathcliff for Catherine.
Lore Drop: Sunny was a poor boy adopted into a rich family, bullied by his new brother, and had a romantic comedy bit of mutual misunderstanding not-unrequited love with his new sister. She got married to a disabled blonde and so he went out pubbing with chums who then all died somehow. Sunny blamed the lightbulbs and so joined forces with a guy with a yellow flower bush growing out of his head who wanted to destroy all the lightbulbs. Flower Head gave Sunny a magic raincoat and umbrellas that gives him depression rain powers at the cost of making him extrasso depresso. Apparently things went fubar after that, so Sunny became alone and homeless.
Fun Fact: This Sunshower mod is actually a fusion of the Drifting Fox, - the abnormality Sunshower comes from - Dongbaek, - a boss that uses the Sunshower E.G.O gear - and Sunshower Heathcliff - one of Heathcliff's ID's in Limbus Company.

sunshower is a very powerful alternate for him in limbus company. if i recall right. he builds up stacks that does sanity damage every turn. but the more he has. teh stronger he is. and he can apply these debuffs to the enemies too. and his attacks get enhanced further the more they have. he is also a fucking tank and can take a beating. also regarding the alternate thing. you basically use a gacha thing to get alternate reality personas of the various inmates that you can equip them with to change them and the way they fight. oh yeah. and that umbrella is a anomalous object if im recalling right. i OH WAIT NO. its an ego. a tool created from an anomaly
