I'd almost look for a handful of 1-mana creatures. Tapping the commander for 5 mana and deploying FIVE 4/3 creatures seems like magical christmas land. Optimized? No. Jank? Yes.
Disciple of Bolas and similar cards don't work. The boost only functions *as long as Andrios is attacking,* which means that during the second main phase, after combat is over, they revert to 4/3.
@@MOLEMITTS12 I know it's technically *possible* with enough synergies but that's not mentioned in the video. It makes it sound like Disciple on its own is an autoinclude when it isn't, by any stretch of the imagination.
@@astuteanansi4935 there’s multiple other ways to get disciple onto the battlefield mid-combat, and if you’re building your deck around your commander, the flash speed stuff and things like monster manual with cards that capitalize off of the commander’s ability would be the way to play the deck. It’s not necessarily an auto-include but it should be a strong consideration
It's to do with the Android programming team, while the character is also holding an Apple. Android. IOS. Andrios. And the pts are definitely aspect ratios.
How about Carrion? 1BB instant As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice a creature. Create X 0/1 black Insect creature tokens, where X is the sacrificed creature's power.
If you spend that mana while he is attacking and creatures are entering tapped they enter as 16/9 because its a static not a trigger. Champion of wits seems so much better in that super specific situation 😂
OK I have heard about mtg 30th in every video I have watched about magic in the last 3 days, we get it, wizards supports proxies, the commander community didn't care if they supported it or not beforehand.
JUDGE!!!!! how does this work? the mana used to pay the cost has an ability attached to it. But the object (creature spell/card) is in the zone called the stack at this point. If that spell resolves the creature enters the battlefield as a brand new object with no previous memory of its former self? Because that's what happens when objects change zones? What in the name of Henzi Toolbox and Sarra Parragon is going on here?!?!?!
@@mikastrae yes! the mana ability doesn't use the stack but the objects that are creature spells/cards use the stack. These are the ones affected by the ability's effect. When and object changes zones it enters as a brand new object so, when they were designing this card, how does the ability that sets power and toughness (one of the last sublayers of layer 7) continue through the zone change?!?!
lol exactly my thought. Imagine someone pulling out a legit copy of this and saying "yes I work for MTG arena and so only my coworkers and I can legally use this card in a friendly game of commander". Wizards really leaning into fan printed proxies being the way of the future.
how you say jegantha hurts, like jegan is only 1 letter different from began so like je-gan-tha. only person who could officially choose it is the person who created the name but it's logical so even then I wouldn't really believe them
Pretty much all of these Heroes of the Realm cards are inside jokes referring to various Wizards teams. I assume this one was probably given to people who worked on creating a phone version of MTG Arena..?

just run some untap artifacts / creatures / lands and then boom. you got yourself a nasty 5 16/9's lol
Android/IOS Roaming (data) Explorer (Web browser), holding an apple with a phone shaped hologram. Top banter.

Flash speed it in before combat ends.
Vedalken orrery, leyline of anticipation, that land that gives spells flash

Seems like a commander for squares but not cubes
*rectangles
Truly a commander to...root for.
It's hip to be square
i feel like this might be somewhat acceptable as a normal card if you just lower the numbers, like a 3/2 going to a 4/4 or a 0/8 or something
It's to do with the Android programming team, while the character is also holding an Apple. Android. IOS. Andrios. And the pts are definitely aspect ratios.
> And the pts are definitely aspect ratios.
I didn't catch that one; the way he says 16/9 it sounds like "69" to my ears (giggity).
To me this looks like an amazing infect commander. Turn all your 1/1 unblockable creatures a into 4/3 or 16/9 if your commander is attacking.
I read the card too.
How about Carrion?
1BB instant
As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice a creature.
Create X 0/1 black Insect creature tokens, where X is the sacrificed creature's power.
Missed the opportunity to incorporate “RGB” color scheme into the card’s casting cost or mana ability.
You can also us a computer printer to have your own copy.
Andrios = Android & iOS
Pretty clear this was for the Arena mobile team.

My favorite quote from starfox is “you’re daddy screamed real good…. Before he…. Died!!!” -flying pig guy
umbra mantel+ commander= unlimited mana, win win
Finally my Arrogant Vampire gets the respect he deserves.
I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS, STAR FOX!!!
Dang, I geuss it's time for me to bring out the ol' printer
I think 4/3 becomes 16/9 because the pt gets squared
There are no exclusive or expensive commander cards while I have a colour printer I'm afraid.

Since its not really legal, they don't sweat the templating.
it's a mana ability, so it doesn't even use the stack
replacement static effect? it's pretty weird.

I know they did this a few years back with a 5 color dragon cant remember its name?
It isn’t so exclusive when proxies are part of the mtg universe now… printer ink is full and this will be easy to print out

Starfox 64 was life
I'm building this with atog style so
Creatures that enter with X counterson them. Most of them are base p/t 0/0.
Wow, what a cool card I'll never own
Strange numbers on power/toughness. Sounds like some kind of inside joke. The aspect ratios might be it.
Yeh. Like on a phone. When you turn it sideways the aspect ratio becomes 16/9
Pretty much all of these Heroes of the Realm cards are inside jokes referring to various Wizards teams. I assume this one was probably given to people who worked on creating a phone version of MTG Arena..?
It's an Android holding an Apple and the PTs are aspect rations
Is there anyway to get one of these cards without proxy??
You would need to find the emplyee that was gifted the card and buy it off them.
@@Duskrequim or mug them for it.... Make sure you leave a ransom note to get them to start playtesting again.
So many 1/1 birds out there.
New Goreclaw!!!
Still waiting for them to sell a gift box of these "proxies" 10/10 would buy even if they have already milked me with 80 secret lairs.
Seems like a waste of time to make a video of a card that no regular mtg player with ever own. Just my opinion.
Such a cool comander, to bad its not legal.
Mono green voltron
Not everybody is ok with proxies.
wait, he'll himself becomes 16/9 ...
I play soley edh, not a fan of proxies unless you already own the card and don't want to buy extras
Wtf is master Chief doing in mtg
