The actual cause of the problem is that on 55 degree wheel cut, the steering arm in the right knuckle and tie rod are in a straight line at full lock. The tie rod can't control the knuckle when they are in a straight line. The fix is to adjust the steering lock to the right so that the tie rod can't be in a straight line with the arm on the knuckle.

@@thisisyourcaptainspeaking2259 no. The wobble he demonstrated at high speeds the wobbling isnt really there but what happens is that because there is that couple of degrees of play the weight on the front end will cause the tire to point in on the bottom and out at the top and this gives you the outer tire wear only because that slant is enough to put the majority of the weight on the outside of the tire only. At slower speeds the wobble may still not be really felt but the wear pattern you get at slow speeds is both the outer tire wear and a wave wear pattern because at slow speeds the wobble can happen unlike at high speeds it will be locked at the slant due to circular forces and other fun science stuff lol

Well yes, the meaning behind is people do not understand fall over / roll over changing in the arc of the turn.
I wrote Ackerman angle so curious minds would look it up, not known to most and understood by less..and I am speaking about mechanics as well as everyone else

Supper interesting! Merci for peaking my curiosity with "Ackerman angle" 😂
I always wondered why different Manf. steering look/act different. The geometry of the steering linkages is variable depending on the desired performance characteristics and chassis set-up hence they move differently. It's not just my mind playing tricks.

mechanic at coca cola found similar wear on driver's side of a route truck, it was aggravated by the truck making far more left turns into and out of his stops on the route, he replaced the parts and he and another driver swapped trucks every other week with one that made a lot of right turns, great for them but as a loader, WE had to keep it straight & be certain load sheets for the 2 trucks was correct every day.🤣

The issue can be solved by adjusting the turn stop adjuster on the hub and a big truck. You should only be able to turn your steering wheel 2 1/2 times from a center to center anymore it causes that issue great for turning radius not good for longevity
