I think sometimes he forgets how much he enjoyed opening football, then something he opens will remind him of the "Good old days". I only watch him when he opens football, so obviously don't watch often anymore. All of us football freaks keep trying to get him back to where he used to be. No there wasn't much in the 08-09 Hockey pack but the Stamkos Young Gun card that you could have gotten out of there goes for about $300. Hockey is the way to go right now - Not affected much by increased price and the cards sell really well!
The old football packs were pretty awesome. Can’t believe there was a hockey pack in there LOL. The slabs are a little strange but hey, I think many have come to expect this out of these boxes.
2010 Topps, started with Charles Woodson, ended with James starks.. 2010 also the year the packers won the superbowl.. hopefully Rodgers delivers another one this year.!

I think the basketball ones are better cause you are guaranteed a Topps Kevin Durant RC, and I have seen 2007(Durant) and 2009(Curry) packs. If the KD RC is in good shape and gets a good grade, then you can get your money back.
The best card out of everything is that Julio Jones RC! Still pretty cool you got the Topps Rack Packs. I just ripped 10 2012 Topps Football Racks and pulled a massive HOF QB auto /25. I couldn’t believe it. It was 1 in 4700 packs! Sometimes you just get lucky, but rarely do you get equal value.
I just saw a few of those Gunslingers packs at my local Walgreens. Didn't know what they were so didn't buy them. Might go back and pick them up now haha. I think they were like $5.

ive bought gunslingers before from walgreens. ive also bought the smaller mystery hangers from walgreens too. they always are crap.. but one gunslinger out of the 10 ive bought had a trevor lawrence /199 topps x trevor card. "kindof" cool. thats the best gunslinger box hanger ive ever seen. awesome packs to pull. and to comment on the hockey pack... it does say "mystery" on the box... XD
I usually just watch Pokemon/Yugioh card openings but this found it's way to my recommendations. They do boxes like this for those too and are mostly pretty bad but I have occasionally seen some nice things in them! Definitely looks super fun to open for all the variety at least haha
Gridiron gear fat packs yield stacks of base and lots of disappointment. Cracking up about Johnny football. That half decade of topps was full of fizzled talent. Julio was the best you could pull in my opinion. I just bought a Mr football prizm rc out of a dollar bin last month. Still making that set.
I used to work for mj holdings. When the new stuff came in there was usually a work order type sheet that showed all the names of older products that didn’t sell and would be shipped back to main warehouse. And then it was either slapped with a sticker over the barcode and sent back as clearance or set aside and put in repack items. Since the hobby boom there wasn’t really ever much unsold product sent back hence lack of repack items. As for the how many cards comments. Mj holding used to get special cards printed just for them and they came in to repack center in huge blocks lol
Hey Packman theres very slight/suptle variations with Rc’s from 2011 your julio jones rc for example i believe theres 2-or-3 variations. So look into which one you got! Price difference for sure
I can tell you from experience the chase cards are legit. About 3 years ago I got one of the Yu-gi-oh mystery power boxes from walmart and I pulled the graded chase card on the front. It was a BGS Cyber Stein I sold for around 3K

Also seeing you open the 2014 pack going after the Johnny's even after some time up through 2023.never getting one. I don't know if you have gotten any. But I have tons🤣🤣🤣 I'm like, "I got one for you". If you still haven't gotten one. I'm more than happy to send you one.. it's funny how ended up with so many. I was totally after him then in rookies and stars and tops chrome. So I pulled a lot. Ended up selling all my cards just before covid. Dumb move on my part. But ended up keeping most of my Johnny's. The packs should have an H on the front if its a Hobby pack. Anything besides that is just retail or special repack but the Topps sealed packs should have an H on front if hobby bud.

I've noticed that too with hockey. May not have to fully abandon sports cards for non-sport after all since hockey and wrestling are still affordable.

2011 is a fun year to open. Mark ingram is still more useful than half the rookie running backs drafted every year.
