- I am opening two basketball Mega Mystery Power Boxes for our next sports card pack opening/product review! These retail boxes originally sell at retailers (Meijers) for around $60 but resell in the $100 range. Every box contains 1 Michael Jordan card graded by BGS or BCCG, 5 factory sealed packs, 1 blaster/cube/hanger/tin/blister, 1 game used jersey card, and 30 other assorted cards. Look for promo cards in every 5 boxes as well as randomly inserted 1986-87 Fleer MJ rookie cards graded 8.5 or higher by PSA/BGS. These boxes come with chances at pulling high-end packs (18-19 Prizm retail!), graded Michael Jordan cards, rookies of the NBA's top stars (Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, Steph Curry, etc.), and more! These boxes used to be widely available at retail stores and were a solid option for a cheap fun rip with chances at nice surprises. A couple years later, that seems to still be the case! You can get a box for yourself from Meijers and online retailers/sellers. Overall, I would rate this product a 7.5/10. Good luck if you try one for yourself!

@@majorzally24 for my personal experience I bought retail boxes/packs for the longest time. Or even bought some of these random repackaged boxes.
As a kid I never knew the difference btwn retail and hobby boxes. Looking back, I’d much rather have spent my money on hobby boxes. Sure, less cards, but better resale value. Hard to think like that as a kid, though 😉

I remember opening so many of those old packs of fleer back when they were released. The second pack was solid with the Penny Hardaway and the Chris Webber insert. Would've been a banger back in the day.

When you have the sticking problem, instead of trying to separate them one at a time, take a small stack ( 5-8 ) and hold at top and at bottom and give a slit bend in middle. Doesn't always work but it will separate them without grabbing the edges of each card

in my opinoin, these boxes are hit or miss, but overall usually have some unique and great stuff! (plus my favorite are the basketball cubes)

I bought a bunch of these random boxes back in the day that had the orange topps KD rookie sets. They were $20 and also netted me a graded lebron rookie. It was just an upper deck lame one but it was still a sweet pull for a random box like that.
i bought one of these and got like maybe 6 bucks worth of cards... it was terrible i was mad....lol....the best card i got was a rajan rondo rookie card...
I remember back in the 90s when I collected they had similar boxes at Toys R Us that guaranteed one NBA Topps Finest refractor that you could see without opening the box. I believe they were $50 or less and I bought one with a $375 Penny Hardaway RC showing.
Those boxes were the best!! Man I miss those days of collecting

These boxes are actually very very good Those are some very good packs. I would have loved to have had those packs About year ago. Heck just a few months ago that 2007-08 sets Were selling for a $150. And that prism pack wow!!! I would definitely purchase some of these

Stellar pulls from back in the day though. 2nd fleer pack would have been a hit. C web and penny rc. Still having issues believing every one has a doncic year prizm pack and a Durant rc set.

Here’s a tip, next time you open old wax kinda crack the pack gently with your hands. I know it sounds scary hearing the word “crack” but if you do it gently and hear the crackling noise it’ll help soften up those cards and unstick them. Similar to the motion in which you would crack ramen packs but more careful!

Repacks used to be the best, $10 for 8 packs or $20 for 16 and a bonus item. 09-10 Topps and 13-14 Prizm used to be $10 a blaster on clearance. Built most of my collection off of these. Pulled a Jordan jersey and LeBron auto from repacks. I miss those days.
What pack was the Lebron auto in? I know they didn’t just put that in as the guaranteed auto lol.

That Prizm pack is very high end and it's a shock to see that come out of one of the mystery boxes. A lot of the Topps Durant RC's that I've seen coming out of these are coming out with bent corners and/or very off-centered which is disappointing. If you don't get a Durant RC from what I've seen, these are a major letdown and not worth the retail price. The football mystery boxes from what I've seen seem to be even worse.

There is a Durant RC insert, called Notable Newcomers that has 95% of all of them extremely off centered to the right

Put brick packs that stick together into the freezer for a while. Then open them up. Works 98% of the time

Upper deck is hands down the worstttt with sticky cards, absolutely hate it. I open 90s packs weekly and won’t even purchase upper deck anymore. Wouldn’t be surprised if the space jam cards start sticking by New Years. 😂

Damaged cards killed me. Put the stuck cards in the microwave for a couple seconds before pulling apart. I'd rather buy a 100 dollar Luka rookie card, or....
