I just moved to a new place, one week of being here someone stole my lawnmower. I am a widow single mother going to school, that thief doesn't realize what they did to me. All they think is about what they want-not how it impacts others. It's disgusting!!! And it pisses me off truly
Judge Boyd knows just the right questions to ask. ‘Why did you commit this crime?’ might sound like a nothing question but it’s extremely important. His answer, straight away he blamed the ex wife.
Exactly. I have 3 boys (boy mom!) but I can say this now, if my children ever did some f'd up sh*t that took them to court, I would never ever advocate for them. It's hard bc it's ur kid but at this point they are adults and need to learn on their own. Coddle when they're children, not grown ass adults lol
He had his rehearsed statement "I'll do whatever you want" but when she denied the motion and sentenced him to serve time boy did his face change. About time some of these thieves went to prison.
I love it when a repeat offender claims the reason for the crime(s) is, “oops I made a mistake.” Then I know that Judge Boyd is going to clearly explain the difference between a mistake & a choice. Glad she sent him back to jail!
Judge Boyd is not amused by his mother and the lawyers display of strained fake joy and laughter 😣 he went exactly where he should /needs to be, min is doing him no favors
All of my kid’s Christmas presents and other things were stolen from my house, years ago when I was a divorced single mother struggling financially. I felt VERY violated.
I accidentally left my car doors unlocked, once in a lifetime and someone went in my car. I had a pair of fake knock off yeezys and some Nike dunks and I keep an emergency $20 bill in my glove compartment and they took it all! I had a box of ammo and they took it too. I felt so violated and vulnerable. I was so angry, not because of my possessions, but just the thought of someone getting in my car and and my personal space. Live and you learn
My mother would have gotten up on the stand, looked out to the victims and said, "I'm ashamed. Don't show him any favor. He made this choice against my better teachings. While he's good around family, he obviously needs a lesson in other areas. So Judge, feel free to sentence him what he's due." Especially with this dude's record. Sure, he's changed now; he's scared of prison now. He should have been before making poor choices. ESPECIALLY WITH A WEAPON.
He doesn’t learn lessons well. He’s only repentant because he pushed it a little too far and now faces prison. His crimes keep escalating. Jail is the answer.
One son screws up and gets himself shot. Mum spends all her time with this son for a year whilst the youngest son seems to become more and more lost. Now that son is in trouble.
I love judge Boyd, she’s sees right through the BS. I was burglarized and not home, thank God. But I gotta tell you, I had to sell that house and get out of the area. I felt extremely unsafe. The burglars left my home in shambles. I’m sure my fur baby was terrified. He was injured. They never caught who broke in. It’s a VERY unsettling feeling. 😡
That defense attorney is giddy and laughing like he's a school girl on recess. And my judge messed up her mistake/choice story a bit. She got it back together in the end.
One time my car was burglarized- I’d just cashed my paycheck and it was taken. It was INCREDIBLY distressing. Violating. Disrupting for my life. I’ll never forget it and it happened over a decade ago.
I agree with the sentence because he had two prior vehicle stealing offences as well as a couple of other arrests and didn't do well on probation! If something else happens in his life is he going to go and do it again because he was having a rough time? This might make him think twice about stealing or breaking into a place in the future!
Something significant was needed since he confessed the only reason he was willing to change was the likelihood of a stiff sentence as opposed to a slap on the wrist, not because he realized the error of his ways.
He is NOT taking responsibility! He just blamed his wife, and their relationship. Has he paid back the person he stole from? All he has to do is send it through the mail. What will prove that he has changed, is to actually do it.
So he said it, he never faced prison before so this time will be different. You are not a good person if facing prison is the only reason you won’t be a danger to the community.
KARMA DUDE !!!!!!!! As for requesting for him to have time to get his affairs in order before turning himself in……😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Too Funny. Judge knows how well that goes… GOOD CALL JUDGE.
He said he didn't think he would be caught. Looking at his face during sentencing you could tell he was shocked he was getting jail time and surprised it was 5 years. He's a felon & repeat offender. I think he's very lucky she didn't give him 6 years.
don't do the crime, if you can't do the time... no no no don't do it 🎶🎶❤❤ and another one's gone and another one's gone... another one bites the dust... 💯
Very thankful, the only time I had to go to court with my son is when he got a speeding ticket. He had to take an online course, pay the ticket and the judge asked me a few questions. He asked me what repercussions he received at home, I said tighter curfew for 2 months and he was riding the school bus for the next month. The judge laughed and joked i was being hard on him, and i said yes sir so you won't see him here again.
Played the "immature" card a hundred times. To jail with you thief. You'll get some "new clothes" in prison and you won't have to rip someone off to get them.
All this shows is that he will take things as far as he can before being sent to prison. Just like when parents count to 3 before a punishment. That child will keep doing wrong until mom says 3!
Of course Mommy has his back. Nothing new there. Excuses after Excuses. Entire family loves him. Blah Blah Blah. Her little boy broke the law not once but several times. Thank God this Judge can see threw all the smoke and BS. Facing prison has opened his eyes fancy that. Facing prison opened my eyes too that's why I never did anything to go there.! He has the same old song and dance. In five years he's gonna really be a changed man. Thank you Judge for seeing this man for who he is.
I keep holding my breath when family testifies on behalf of a criminal, waiting to hear the truth rather than whitewashing to try to convince the court they're a perfect human being and they've changed and they're "doing much better now." This guy's blaming is ex-wife/girlfriend? WTH? Good job by Judge Boyd to ask him why he did it. The responses...nothing but nonsense. He should consider himself fortunate he only got five years.
He should do a little time.. if what mom said was true, one day grammas not gonna be there and his excuse will be that losing her messed with his head and he didnt really think about what he was doing. Cuz hes not dangerous or nothing seeing as he apparently used one to commit robbery (unless i heard that wrong), i heard armed robbery... anyway, that will be his excuse for losing it and committing offenses
All though I love her umbrella example, maybe she needs to come up with another example for the difference between “I made a bad mistake” vs bad descriptions, or maybe just come up with a quicker analogy, considering that she knows these things are recorded.
17:34 this is the moment, that if you’re truly enlightened and reformed and ready to take responsibility, your answer would say so. “I was angry, selfish, and immature. During this time all I wanted to do was hurt someone, feel in control, and take what I wanted. I’m done making excuses for who I was, and I’m here to take responsibility for him, whatever that might be.”
It was quite a performance by Mr Hernandez and his mommy. He has an “Edgar” haircut that’s been parted and combed to the side but they should have made him shave off the beard that goes with the Edgar. He’s got a very shrewd attorney that mommy payed a lot of $ for.
Attorney: "...time to get his affairs in order...
Judge: "Ahhhhh....No."
😂😂😂
"He'd like some time to get his affairs in order". Judge: "Ah, no". Brutal! And appropriate.
I roared! 😂😂😂
(missed opportunity) Judge: Only if you're dying dude...
Mothers make the worst witnesses.
The repeat offender lawyer is a joke, what affairs this dude has to put in order?!🤣🤣🤣
Probably needs some 'clothes'
😂😂😂
@@rochellej6412😂😂😂😂
I don't think he realises or cares about the devastating impact theft has on victims!
The excuses his mother is making for him is why he's like this!
Burglary is not only the loss off property, worse the loss off securety in your own home!
I just moved to a new place, one week of being here someone stole my lawnmower. I am a widow single mother going to school, that thief doesn't realize what they did to me. All they think is about what they want-not how it impacts others. It's disgusting!!! And it pisses me off truly

I think his mommy is making all kinds of excuses for her son. He’s not the good little boy his mommy thinks he is.

Granny’s health issues…Will NOT SWAY THIS JUDGE…😂😂😂😂

If I was the victim i wouldn't want money I would want to see you in prison.
I opt for both, but I'm petty.
His mum is better than, me. I wouldn’t stand there and speak in court for a grown child who won’t stop getting in trouble!
Shameful her baby boy he's has a long criminal record!
I don't think that is better. Mothers are supposed to call their children out. Motherhood is not for sissies.
.... which is why your child isn't there. you require accountability from yours where his mom made excuses and likely has for forever.
"Now that I'm facing prison..."
Judge Boyd is not amused by his mother and the lawyers display of strained fake joy and laughter 😣 he went exactly where he should /needs to be, min is doing him no favors
"My whole neighbourhood loves me." Yeah, right.
All of my kid’s Christmas presents and other things were stolen from my house, years ago when I was a divorced single mother struggling financially. I felt VERY violated.

Wow I love the Umbrella reference, and how she breaks down what the difference choices and mistakes are…..this judge is a real one 💯
I do agree with the five year sentence. He needs to take responsibility for his actions. He’s a repeat offender
@francesmeyer8478they probably will fight his ass 😂😂 or jumped
He got a bad case of post-sentence muteness!
How petty and disrespectful.
My mother would have gotten up on the stand, looked out to the victims and said, "I'm ashamed. Don't show him any favor. He made this choice against my better teachings. 100%
I would be that mom who apologized to the victim and tell everyone I am ashamed at this moment to call him my son.
Judge is not impressed with mom and her giggling
Judge Boyd is as sharp as a tack. She does not fall for any of these B.S.
I LOVE this judge! Thank you for the jail time!
Now that prison is on the table, I will be sorry and remorseful.
Almost of these criminals dont have father's
The ex-employee did not help at all. Saying that he had to let him go, LOL
Maybe YOU should raise your children better, Mom. Sounds like they're not doing great. Not their grandparents job!
So he wasn’t a five star employee and his character witnesses are his mommy and the boss that fired him . DUH!
Let me translate what
the mom was saying:
It’s his wife’s fault!
Absolutely not.
he got what was coming to him thinking mommy would help him skate at 28
He doesn’t learn lessons well. He’s only repentant because he pushed it a little too far and now faces prison. His crimes keep escalating. Jail is the answer.
.Can't have mommy save your ass, this time

not enough time. But she doesn't play, either.
State to mom: so you've known defendant all your life, mom: yes pretty much. Lol
Judge Boyd is #1

Jusdge Boyd doesn't take BS from anyone....You know when a defendant is going to jail when the Deputy is right behind them lol
The State has the receipts
Mom just must be nervous, laughing
He is NOT taking responsibility! He just blamed his wife, and their relationship. Has he paid back the person he stole from? All he has to do is send it through the mail.

Oh no, the umbrella story! 😂😂😂
Yes, she got it right. Mistake indeed. He didn't look happy though!
JUSTICE 🎉
Justice!!!!!
So he said it, he never faced prison before so this time will be different. You are not a good person if facing prison is the only reason you won’t be a danger to the community.
Can he turn himself in later?
Uhhh no 😂😂😂

5 yrs BAM!
I agree 💯
As a Hispanic myself, I don’t understand why these kids talk the way they do when their parents don’t.
Ill be good now that im looking at prison time. What a bunch of crap.
A weapon can be anything really. If you are a boxer your fists are weapons. I can throw my TV at you and that TV was a weapon.
I would never make myself look stupid for one of my children loving them and being stupid for them is two different things
Let’s get the mama back on the show
Yes I agree
She just said, i need him, no, what u need is for him to grow up and take responsibility for himself!!
Grandma and Graddad raised him. Why not you mom?
Yes.
Pass the witness, pass your water
Oh boy, here comes the umbrella story😵💫I clearly watch too many court video's😁

Uh No...I love Judge Boyd 💞💞
You're on Bond, should have gotten your affairs in order prior to Sentencing 🙆🏻
listen, he got both a "here's the thing" AND the cup. it wasn't going to end well.
What’s going on with these lawyers speaking like high schoolers? 😂
5 years is fair I think. I'd hope parole follows after jail to be sure he actually has a job. Judge Boyd is a fair, clear minded Judge.
He said he didn't think he would be caught. Looking at his face during sentencing you could tell he was shocked he was getting jail time and surprised it was 5 years. He's a felon & repeat offender. I think he's very lucky she didn't give him 6 years.
