    Going to try to make the mushrooms in cement for longer lasting and heavier.

    How timely! I was scouring TH-cam today for concrete candle holders. I would love to make some for Christmas gifts. Yours turned out great! Thank you.

    Love the projects! I just started playing around with concrete and Rapid set Cement All.
    The one tip I’d have to say is super important, which I’ve learned from using air dry clay too, is to put your project in a plastic bag or cover in plastic wrap & sprits it with water daily. Basically Don’t let it dry out too quick! As soon as it cures completely, it stops getting stronger. The slower it cures, the stronger it will be.
    I keep it wet for at least a couple days. The slow curing process is what gives your piece strength. If it cures (dries out) too fast it can develop cracks & won’t be as strong as it should be, especially if it’s thin.

    I love all of these and may actually try all. I’m trying to think of a way to make an incense burner for the incense sticks. Any ideas?

      That was really cool. I will try this you can also put small metal cans inside and pour regular 91% alcohol in them and cover the tin cans with a metal wire and place rocks or fire glass over on top you won’t see anything but the flames.

    Very nice, I’ve wanted try something similar and you’ve provided the inspiration to do just that. How long do the Sterno containers last when burning?

    • @WhitneyBaldwin
      @WhitneyBaldwin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually about 2 hrs. I think you can buy better ones that last a lot longer.

    Couldn’t you use the metal mixing bowl as the large outer bowl for the one that turned out too thin? LOVED these projects!!
