I really miss these guys. I miss going to their concerts, I miss speaking with them after their concerts, I miss the way they brought their special style to the congregation...
My wife showed me them. They are wonderful!! Hard to believe my mother and father in law knew George personally.....he held my brother in law and my wife as babies.
Great!!! Hilarious!!!! Poor Danny Funderburk!!! He had just joined the Cathedrals earlier that year, having just come over from the Singing Americans. He, without a single doubt, is one of the best tenor singers that has ever been in gospel music ever! (Of course, no one beats my favorite tenor singers, ever!!! Here's a hint as to whom I talking about...he owns his own gospel group. Here's another hint:He sang tenor for slightly over a decade with a certain group that had hits such as The Greatest Of All Miracles, In My Robe Of White, John Saw, Shoutin' Ground...& the list goes on. One more hint-He's also known for more hit songs such as For God So Loved, I've Been Redeemed, Say Amen, & more.) If you guess who it is, let me know. Have a blessed day!!!
+Ron Shank I feel and this is just my opinion that this foursome was the best they had. This is not to say that Ernie Haas was a bad singer. I just like the way this group sounded.

So sad that some had to pass away. I loved all of them. The best Gospel Singers ever. Thanks for sharing all of these.
I grew up to this song! Nice to hear again!
I used to play guitar/bass with a group that did Southern Gospel. Every time we did this song, it would bring the house down.
I was there that Night!!!!!!!!
they are all on you tube Danny in my favorite tenor and Goerge bass best of both
Makes my heart happy to hear men singing and having a great time worshiping The Lord of Lords and King of Kings!

LOVE THIS!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I wish they'd re release this video either on VHS or DVD would be better!
I was 4 years old the last time I saw The Cathedrals. They permanently disbanded less than 2 years after

+Van PastorMan I agree, this particular lineup had an awesome sound.
Where did you get this footage? Please post more if possible!
This song fits really better with Kirk than with Danny...
Agreed, though the Cathedrals of this period -- whether with Kirk or Danny -- is my favorite group.
