GLORY TO GOD!- IT'S DECEMBER 2024 AND IT SEEMS LIKE I CAN GET ENOUGH OF THIS GROUP! THEY SANG WITH A PASSION FOR THE LORD HALLELUJAH THANK YOU JESUS FOR THESE MEN WHO GAVE THEIR ALL AS THEY MINISTERED I BLESS YOUR HOLY NAME, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD !
Praise God! We shall see Jesus.....the work/Ministry they did changed lives forever!!!! Every line up fulfilled Gods perfect plan! Thank you Lord for bringing the Cathedral Family into our lives.
I can't really be objective here...too big of a Cathedrals fan. But, as someone who has enjoyed southern gospel music for 50 years, this just might be the most powerful 20 minutes of musical testimony I've ever experienced!!!
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I love any help you can give me
@Tyler Kieran I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Why in the world would 142 people give this a thumbs down? To those who thumbs-downed this: Y'all need to get saved!!! This is an excellent melody of songs, and especially the way that they put that last song, We Shall See Jesus, there at the end, as the highlight of this particular melody! Praise God Forevermore!!!
TH-cam no longer shows the dislikes, so I guess that's a good thing. But at times, we need to see the dislikes on some videos so we don't waste our time watching.
I was 12 when I saw this 25th Anniversary video of the Cats and became a huge fan eversince.. and it's very true that George and Glen had a power- house of the mighty touch of the Master's strong hand upon their musical evangelism and being a bass singer myself I surely can't wait to get to see George younce once again in that heavenly choir! But in my opinion their will never be another Cathedral Quartet...
Thank God for the great memories this group gave us! I was privileged to see this great gospel group! I love to hear them sing! Praise God I'm a child of the King! This comment was written by Gary the husband of Debra. My Dad passed away in 2011 and I miss him so much. He loved southern gospel music.
Praise God through Our Lord Jesus Christ that I can still hear and enjoy this beautiful Christian music . I can worship my God, The God of All creation, from my front room, my kitchen and my bedroom or my sewing room ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️
I love this group! Glenn gets into pretty much all songs! I love watching him. They're gone now, but, I can listen to them anytime! And, that's usually every day!
WHEN I LISTEN TO GOSPEL SONGS I WISH I WON'T STOP IT EVEN KEEP ME WIDE AWAKE UNTIL PASSED MIDNIGHT WHOMEVER GROUP OR ANY INDIVIDUALS LIKE JIMMY JIMMY SWAGGART
I love these songs and fell in love with the Cathedrals the first time I heard them. I was blessed to be able to see them live at a Gospel Convention in the late 80's. I look forward to singing with them in Heaven!
This is my favorite Cathedral line up, Danny brought such wonderful tenor vocals. Glenn and George were beyond amazing, with their vocals, faith and hilarious stage banter who could help but love them. I have been a huge fan of the Cathedral Quartet since i was a small child and I'm so glad Mark is still carrying the flame for Southern Gospel Music in a world that prefers the contemporary "christian" music.
Such a wonderful medley of praise music - not only the music, but the lyrics, the presentation, the men, the voices!! Very special time of worship! The blend of sound is so beautiful - no one person attempting to out sing the others. The Holy Spirit is obviously present in that place. I will enjoy this all my present life and in the hereafter.
I see so many on these videos saying a certain group is 'the best'. But I think they're all great. I loved the Cathedrals when Ernie Haase sang with them too. And I have loved every mix of the Gaither Vocal Band. My particular favourites are Guy, Wes, Marsh, Bill, David, Mark.. but then that's not a quartet and I can't leave any of them out, and I am enjoying the current lineup too. And then there are Jeff and Sherry Easter, The Isaac's, The Martin's, I mean how do you choose ? I can't because I have too many I love to say just ONE is the best. Because different ones minister to a need at different times and with a different song for each need. God bless them all for their ministries and their hard work perfecting their harmonies.
I found this quartet in 2020, where was I? Missed out, but now watch and listen everyday to these songs over and over. Brings tears. I’ve pastored almost 40 years and listen as I prepare messages
Wow, That sure brings back great memories. The Cathedrals were just as loved in Canada as the USA. My wife and I hosted then many times at concerts and our home after concerts and became great friends. We attended both Glen and George's funerals and saw a lot of the old time quartet members there. What a sweet time at a sad time. They will always be the greatest , most sincere and loved quartet in my books. David & Joan Green Simcoe Ontario Canada.
We lived in Houston Texas and once a year all the groups of this era would be at the Houston Coliseum. I would be safe to say most of them are gone, but we will see them in Glory one day! Thanks for sharing this with us!
This is the first Cathedrals album my Dad ever bought, and this is the first song I actually learned. At first I did not even know that these were individual Cathedrals songs, being little, I just thought it was one song and I loved it. It is so good now to see the actual video of their performance. Superb! Excellent! The best gospel group ever!
I wholeheartedly agree! This is my absolute favorite Cathedrals lineup. Danny Funderburk is probably one of the most underrated gospel tenors of all time.
He said that this is the first time in Southern Gospel history that this has been done but, The Rambos did a 20+ minute medley of their songs complete with orchestration back in 1984 I believe.
In my opinion they'll never be another group like the cathedrals 1964 till 1999 35 years don't get me wrong the Goodmans the Spears the Blackwood Brothers the kingsman lot of good groups but for right down the middle of the road telling the message of the Old Rugged Cross without learning the current music of the day what people wanted to hear and influence their Style of music steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord High t e n n o r low Bass Glen Payne George Younce singing in heaven choir now
Certainly not to take away from any talent that shared the stage with George and Glen, but those two men were so strong that I would have sounded good signing with them! And that's really saying something! Seriously, these two voices/personalities provided an such anchor for the quartet that their sound was preserved regardless of who joined them on stage.
Absolutely beautiful
GLORY TO GOD!- IT'S DECEMBER 2024 AND IT SEEMS LIKE I CAN GET ENOUGH OF THIS GROUP! THEY SANG WITH A PASSION FOR THE LORD HALLELUJAH THANK YOU JESUS FOR THESE MEN WHO GAVE THEIR ALL AS THEY MINISTERED I BLESS YOUR HOLY NAME, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRECIOUS BLOOD !
All the songs were great but the last song is heavenly and awesome!!! The Best lineup EVER!!!!
These two were the best of the best.I love to hear them sing together. Always gives me a wonderful feeling.
What a sound to wake up to. I love these guys. It seems they have been singing all my life.
Praise God! We shall see Jesus.....the work/Ministry they did changed lives forever!!!! Every line up fulfilled Gods perfect plan!
Thank you Lord for bringing the Cathedral Family into our lives.
I was raised up all my life listening to the cathedrals.
A few have joined in with the Heavenly Home and singing with the Angels!
Amen. One of the best gospel groups in all time. I will see you in Heaven and I will see and hear you again.
I appreciate all you do through music and love you and our gracious friends
I can't really be objective here...too big of a Cathedrals fan. But, as someone who has enjoyed southern gospel music for 50 years, this just might be the most powerful 20 minutes of musical testimony I've ever experienced!!!
Well said...just found this...what a wonderful treasure.

Sometimes I mistakenly click on the thumbs down,,,ooops!
TH-cam no longer shows the dislikes, so I guess that's a good thing. But at times, we need to see the dislikes on some videos so we don't waste our time watching.
Joseph, if 142 people gave thumbs down and this is soo amazing, how would you know how good or bad it is, because you wouldn’t have listened
They were one of the best in Southern Gospel.
They don't know what good Southern Gospel is.
Absolute best live recording ever of the Cathedrals, and the best lineup. Been following them for 40 years now, and still love them.
Depending on your definition of "live".
Chills, the smoothest gospel group ever. Left to right, Danny Funderburk, Mark Trammel, Glenn Payne, George Younce, and Roger Bennett at the piano.
Once a cathedral will always a cathedral ❤
They were a class act and sang the message of the gospel like none other!
Greatest Quartet ever! Heaven gained the best when George and Glen joined that Heavenly choir!!!
George, Glen, Danny, Mark & Roger. Perhaps The Cathedrals very finest line up.
Praise God through Our Lord Jesus Christ that I can still hear and enjoy this beautiful Christian music . I can worship my God, The God of All creation, from my front room, my kitchen and my bedroom or my sewing room ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️
These guys are totally are awesome !!!l

I love this group! Glenn gets into pretty much all songs! I love watching him. They're gone now, but, I can listen to them anytime! And, that's usually every day!

WHEN I LISTEN TO GOSPEL SONGS I WISH I WON'T STOP IT EVEN KEEP ME WIDE AWAKE UNTIL PASSED MIDNIGHT WHOMEVER GROUP OR ANY INDIVIDUALS LIKE JIMMY JIMMY SWAGGART
The best to me! The father of quartet gospel.
This is what I listen to at 2:30 am when I am still awake.
Brings back memories of sitting with my mom before she joined the choir in heaven
2:30
Only one word can describe this. “TIMELESS”.
I wish they would go to small churches GOD was for the poor people
We miss you boys. Keep singing for God.
"Thank God I'm Free" a couple minutes is my favorite sounding type of song.. of all music. It's so fun to sing and make the audience have goosebumps.
Sure miss these guys! Never be another group to compare to them! All are in Heaven! Except Ernie and Danny !
Don’t kill of Mark so fast. He’s still very much alive leading the Mark Trammel Quartet.
The group Cathedrals are powerfully been used by the Lord and blessed of the LORD.
I love these songs and fell in love with the Cathedrals the first time I heard them. I was blessed to be able to see them live at a Gospel Convention in the late 80's. I look forward to singing with them in Heaven!
God smiled when Glenn & George entered the the streets of Gold.
Could listen to them sing 24 hours a day. Looking forward to hearing them sing in HEAVEN.
Love, love, love this quartet! My old time favorite! I miss them!

Just nothing like this these days....LORD....I miss this true WORSHIP music!
Mark Trammel has the most wonderfully smooth, melodious voice...and he's such an beautiful, gentle soul.
I also like Gerald Wolfe and Greater Vision!
Aí está um dos maiores quarteto do mundo.👋👋👋
Such a wonderful medley of praise music - not only the music, but the lyrics, the presentation, the men, the voices!! Very special time of worship! Ernie Hass is George Younce's son-in-law.
At 18:15 has to be the greatest ending to We Shall See Jesus I have ever heard.

Love this!!!
They are so enjoyable to listen to.
Impressive. I think it would be difficult to find an artist or artists today in any genre that could sing a melody like this.
marvelous
Love cathedral Forever.
I always enjoy these "boys"
The best of the Cathedrals when it was Roger at the piano and George, Glenn, Danny, Mark singings!!!
????
I wholeheartedly agree! This is my absolute favorite Cathedrals lineup. Danny Funderburk is probably one of the most underrated gospel tenors of all time.
I agree!
Them with Gerald wolfe was equally as impressive
The best ever from the Cathedrals. I wonder the DVD is available for order.
Don't know if there is a DVD version but the VHS tape is still available.
All I can say is Amen!
So sad there isn’t a following like this these days
He said that this is the first time in Southern Gospel history that this has been done but, The Rambos did a 20+ minute medley of their songs complete with orchestration back in 1984 I believe.
I never say the rambos quartet
Child of the King
