    Hey mate just watched your video and I got straight onto it, I know it’s a 2 year old video but to everyone that has done this, did it work and also did it work on your awning mate. Awesome tip fingers cross it works 😊

      Gidday Joel, very sorry for the late reply mate, for some reason my comments only just showed up now! Yeah it worked great on the awning and I use it every time it gets wet now

    Brilliant tip and so simple. Thanks for sharing the advice as I just opened my 30 Second Awning to find some mould and wasn't sure how to remove it safely. Quick search on TH-cam and found your video so now I know how and will take the same approach with my camper trailer tent. :-)

      It's a terrible feeling hey! Give it plenty of sun and many layers and it all should be back to normal in no time

    After the vinegar and dry you spray with water and wipe down? Do you scrub?

    • @4WheelsOnTheRoad
      @4WheelsOnTheRoad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi mate. I just do it all in the Sun and let it dry by the Sun cuz what you trying to kill is the mould spores themselves. So if you've also got a breeze that's kind of helpful as well

    I don't know this for sure yet (obviously... or else I wouldn't be watching this video), but I've heard that bleach and vinegar can damage the tent fabric. What's been your experience with that?

    • @4WheelsOnTheRoad
      @4WheelsOnTheRoad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bleach maybe but to be honest I don’t know, I have been using vinegar on every canvas tent I have had for years now with zero problem

    I have food grade distilled vinegar at 5% acidity to treat white mold on a large, folding bicycle nylon canvas duffel bag. It is ok in your opinion to spray it on undiluted?

  • @darrelljohnson130
    @darrelljohnson130 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does the tent need to be water proofed after this?

    • @4WheelsOnTheRoad
      @4WheelsOnTheRoad  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi Darrel, I can't find any concrete proof or dis-proof to say cleaning vinegar (or regular vinegar) does anything to water proofing, logic would say possibly to give it a spruce up but I have never done so and in my experience in looking at the surface after the multiple times of treating it I have not seen it absorb more water than it previously was

    Can you use normal White vinegar for this to

    • @4WheelsOnTheRoad
      @4WheelsOnTheRoad  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yep the bottle i am using here is just white vinegar from Coles

      Does it remove the discoloration? Or just kill the mould. Hoping to get rid of the black staining
