    thumping patterns are just like woven web. Dude It's obvious that you've got the talent, please have some more of 'you' in it. Otherwise it'll just remind others.

      The reference to woven web is probably what I like the most in the song. It's the best way to implement an influence of someone elsein a song. He modified it heavily and it sounds amazing especially with the jazz fusiony chords between the accents. A brilliant composer.

    • @ioNicholas

      Being influenced by someone and emulating their sound a little dosent make you any less talented. This is some very hater BS to say. You killed it! Cant wait to see how you develop with this style when you write more music.

    No melody... Just a bunch or weirdness and predictable licks. A lot of talent but you are trying too hard to be different, abstract, and unique. In the end, you are a great musician and you just seem to be trying too hard to be different, it ends up just being really boring. I still give you a like 👍

      @@friskyisfat No I didn't, but jazz is not melodic, and also boring.

      @@dl9151 jazz being "boring" is a highly subjective opinion, not really a fair argument. The same can be said for my opinion: i really like this track for the very fact that he's trying to be different by exploring weirdness, that's what i love and search for in music

    • @shiboomi2249
      @shiboomi2249 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Trying too hard to be different from who? I hear similarities to other prog metal artists at various points and see playing techniques of theirs (not to say that it sounds derivative though), some of which our boy is obviously inspired by (just looking at his guitar, for example), so if the aim was just to be unique / different then I'm sure a monster player like him could have come up with something that more so accomplishes that. I personally think he probably just sounds like himself here and is making the kind of music he wants to make.
      As for there being no melody, or jazz (as a whole?) not being melodic (what the?!), I feel you may just need to work on your ear / appreciation there? Or perhaps this type of music just isn't for you (not sure whether you listen to other artists in this category?), which would obviously be cool too.
      I give you a like anyway for voicing your opinion well and not just taking a dump on the video, and for acknowledging talent where you see it!

    • @dl9151
      @dl9151 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@COCKroach69420 Not an argument, just my opinion. "Highly subjective" is your opinion. Most of the world considers jazz to be non-melodic and boring. Fun fact... So does Steve Vai! He has stated it publicly many times.
