@@drawnbybarb4434 Hi once again. I was looking on the Printing With Botanicals group for posts with Myrobalan. I just used it for the first time yesterday evening with a spot of iron and I loved the colour. I only did this on the plants through as I wanted to test it on paper. Barb, was your bundle in this video simmered or steamed? I will of course try both but came across this, so I thought I'd ask. Thank you so kindly.
There is a bit of preparation & natural dye materials involved. www.madebybarb.com/2019/06/01/what-is-myrobalan/ and also instructions with details here: www.madebybarb.com/2019/06/15/resist-method-of-eco-printing/ Videos get very long if all explanation is included.
I have omitted using a mordant on the linen since it is a substantive dye. Sometimes use a home-made Aluminum Acetate mordant on cellulose fibres. Myrobalan is my favourite and can be bought locally as 'Harde Powder' in certain ethnic shops. Happy printing!
Wonderful patterns Barb!!!. Thanks for sharing.
Myrobalan never disappoints me.
