The thing with Lars was that in the early days, he was a pretty strong drummer. However, as Metallica as a band got a lot softer and simpler into the 1990s, he started to severely lack. His rhythm was off, he reused a lot of the same fills and beats, would mess up constantly live, and he generally couldn't play like he used to. And he was only in his 30s by this point. Most drummers don't start declining until their 50s. The problem was that he had terrible technique. He was more of a muscular drummer than a critical drummer. What I mean by this is that he's more muscular in that he strives for the heaviest, fastest, and loudest sound rather than a more complex, introspective, and reserved sound. In the early days, that muscular approach suited Metallica pretty well and he even did start going more critical by the end of the 1980s. However, that all changed with The Black Album. This was when the band decided to go for a more simplistic Hard Rock and Heavy Metal sound. The songs weren't as fast or complex and Lars' drumming was slower and not as interesting. Same problem happened with Kirk Hammett on guitar. His solos started getting repetitive and sounded the same. Not nearly as professional as he started out as. This is the common reason most people reject 1990s Metallica. They were losing their edge. But those first 5 albums are easily better than most bands! entire discographies!

I think it’s cuz music has vibrations which have tension and so do colors like yellow is hot n trebley dark blue more bass /low vibrating etc
