That's very useful but I wish you'd shown how you make the actual pillow first!! What size, fabric, stuffing etc
Yes, 5 years later I’m into these cs pillows. Love the idea of making a pillow and then using the insert. Lori always makes things look classy.
Thank you Kimberly and Lori, that was a great tutorial, I hadn’t thought about making a pillow to put it in the ornament! 💚
For the first time I noted your see-through seam guide that you have draped on your sewing machine. Hey, that is a great design for 1/4" and 1/2" seams! I am going to order one!
love this idea ! such a cute way to display and to keep it so that you can wash it if it gets dirty. great idea!
You are saved on my favs! I love your clear, easy instructions that even a beginning sewer can follow. Thank you for your wonderful videos! I am already thinking of the annual Christmas ornament exchange party coming up in Nov. The cross stitch pillow ornaments I made two years ago were a hit and I just love the old patterns I found on EBay. Homemade ornaments are special! Thanks again for your tutorials!
Those are just precious!!! Lori is such a great teacher!
Thanks. I like the pillow insert My pillows turned out great
Too stinkin cute!!! Someday I hope the back of my projects look as good as yours!!
Adorable and not overly complicated! 👏👏👏👏
Adorable! What great Christmas gifts.
Love everyone FQS and Lori Holt.
Thank you as always great tutorial. You both are so meticulous in your teaching that I even get it!
I´m in love with those pillows
This is the best tutorial I have seen on cross stitch ornaments. I love the fact that the ornaments are completely sewn! I have seen other examples of Cross stitch ornaments that involve gluing, which I did not like. I prefer 100% sewing to make a durable ornament that will last for years. I found some old cross stitch ornament patterns which are just darling, but I did not want to frame them..I wanted to do something different. Well, this is it! Your idea is so cute and so easy to sew. AND ITS UNIQUE! Love it!! Since we are stuck at home due to the COVID-19 crisis, I thought I might as well start my ornaments for the annual Christmas exchange I attend each year at my friend's house, which is complete with a breakfast buffet for all the ladies. :0) I might as well make the best use of my time at home until we are back to normal. Thank you so much! I subscribed to make sure I don't miss out on anything else!
Love everything Lori creates. So talented and inspiring. Thanks. This fabric line is awesome! 🎄

Great video! Thank you!
Omg...I love the sound of scissors cutting fabric! I must have these patterns! I may have missed it, but what size should the pillow insert be?
Hi Laurie! Lori recommends a 4.5" pillow insert with a whip stitch at 1:04 - this helps make sure the pillow is completely full and puffy!
Thank you! 😊
