Watching that last automobile barely visible surrounded by snow higher than their roof somehow warms the cockles of my heart. It's 50-75mpg don't mean squat if one can't get that prius out on a semi cleared road. If all you have are all season tires don't be surprised when you get stuck or go in a ditch. *It's snowing here.*
It's interesting , even though I live much further north than you, our snow total this year is about a quarter of an inch. I live on an Island in the middle of Atlantic, so the sea keeps us a bit warmer in winter( but not always) We don't have machines to get rid of snow like that...amazing...
damn Syracuse NY always wins the golden snowball award. We got like maybe 3". Its like we have a dome over us. not that I wanted that 5 feet. screw that. My snowblower isnt that big
True, but, the difference is the event in Buffalo melted soon after it fell, which was crazy in its self, this is not going to melt anytime soon but, continue to accumulate.
Camano man Agreed. It's much worse for it not to melt. Nowhere to put it. Had that here in Michigan a few years ago. Had snow for Thanksgiving and it never got warm enough to melt. Made things interesting at our used car dealership.
More and more people are coming out of the dark ages of climate science and realizing the truth- Grand Solar Minimum is real, the sun cycles govern our climate.
To give you non Erie people the extent of this storm...My roofing guy couldn't make it to my house to get the snow off my roof because the weight of the snow collapsed the roof of his business. I'm 55 and lived threw a lot of storms along Lake Erie. Never have seen anything like this. Ever. Most of the damage was from weeks after the storm. The melting from the top of the roofs would build up at the edges of the roof and finally give way and fall off as 6 by 6 feet chunks of ice that weighed a thousand pounds. It destroyed my deck when it fell causing $6000 worth of damage.
You guys scored some epic footage of some of the snow removal! So cool! Great job documenting parts of this storm!

That looks like a heavy wet snow, like it's probably 31 degrees
I remember we used to have snow falls like that in Minnesota what do they do with all the water
I like when it's like 18 degrees for a month then snows when it's 18 degrees and when you shovel it it's bone dry underneath
That's the part I *don't miss.* :)
