Why did you not throw a 5th face cord of Cherry right in the truck while there? My Ole Buddy Nut319 finally got to come home yesterday!🙏 Everyone have a safe and great weekend!👍
I might be mistaken fellas but I Wana say he don't do it because it's too heavy a load on his truck, he doesn't Wana bust it down,I could be wrong but I think that's why he doesn't, everyone be safe

Cherry and plum smell beautiful together and top off with apples Chris, should buy all the firewood 🪵 and the shed . All kind off room in Beth dad farm yard . 😊
I used to haul woodchips and sawdust. In winter to keep things from sticking I would just spread some road salt in the trailer before loading. Worked like a charm. Maybe it would also work for this. Just make sure it doesnt sit in a deepfreeze for too long before dumping because the melted snow created by the salt can refreeze if you wait too long. Ive also seen other guys using diesel to prevent sticking (because it was handy) but you dont want to contaminate your wood which is why I like salt
Good morning Chris ☕️.wow, that's a great score on all that cherry.i keep my cherry separated too.burn it at home.i like the way it sounds.puts off pretty good heat too🍻
I wish I could buy a specific type of hardwood in my area; I would like to try other species. Everyone just sells mixed hardwood. That's a nice service you offer!
That 🍒 is 🍒! Wish we could share photos here. I just found a few AWESOME cherry trees on the property. Cut one the other day and I almost feel bad turning it into firewood. Almost...
5:39 If it were me, I get a leaf blower, clean the snow off while it's light and powdery. Probably save my gloves too.The weather will change and maybe melt the snow into the wood as ice.One of the fun things of doing firewood that hardly ever gets any good videos. For instance, before blowers, I'd carry a wore out broom with me to clean off snow. And sometimes a snow shovel, THEN the broom! I saw ice on your 'stache. One time, I was working hard with the west wind at about 10 or 15 degrees. I was sweatin'. I grew icicles off my 'stache about 2 inches long. The weight started pulling hairs out, so I tried pulling icicles off. BIG MISTAKE!!Wound up having to smash myself in the mouth to break up the darn things! Didn't get any extra for that firewood. Sometimes ya" just can't get any sympathy for the trials and tribulations of the firewooder!
Hey did you ever look into a dump for your truck that Toyota is like a 3/4 ton just needs stiffer leaf springs . Just saying! 😊 love this channel! Cool places you go to where are you located? State Michigan? I need to watch more of 1300’ Good night Irene! Lol love it! 😅
Good Morning Chris dig through the winter gear. Last year you purchased a very toady warm coat. You did a video on the voat. The cherry location looks beautiful. Cannot wait until tomorrow to hear the history. I would claw, kick, scream and throw food and ketchup at the all if I had to move from that location. My brain went into overdrive. Maybe N and N can invent a plug in under deck heater. Sort of like the house gutter heaters that are used to prevent ice dams. Stay warm. There is a tragic mess unraveling down here. Allegedly, a woman was walking to a bus stop during the sub zero Temps. She slipped on ice and hit her face on a fence gate. This occu=Ed at one of the busiest intersections in the area. She sat down on a snowbank and she made two phone calls to 911. Thirty minutes went by and a lady found the woman, who now was unconscious. During this thirty minute time span, a person is on video who was seen stepping over the woman who slid from the snowbank to the sidewalk. This person looked at the lady, stepped over her and kept on walking. When help arrived, the woman was deceased. No the finger pointing starts. This should have never happened. Stay warm. Let someone know you are in the woodyard, and check in.
Chris, meant to ask you this: Do you think keeping the wood out drying during the cold weather actually helps to dry it? The moisture in the wood would freeze, expand, then seem to open the wood up for when the moisture would contract;hence, this would theoretically assist in speeding up drying in the spring. Thoughts?
Yes wood dries way more that people think in the winter, dry air and constant temperature changes aid in the drying process BUT heat (sun) and wind in the long summer days are the best.
@@InTheWoodyard yep - all my wood has sun and wind - just wondered your thoughts on the ice expansion of the dead wood fibers then more easily releasing the moisture when the wind/sun gets to it. Forgot to cover my wood before the last snowstorm, BUT, brushed it off and the oak was REALLY hot. LOL! GOD Bless
I see you filmed this couple weeks ago and just put it on. It rough when your out in the cold like that. Was going to ask how the “ baby doing “ let’s see if you no what I’m talking (asking ) about 👍👍
Hi Chris, just a simple question on this one. Why didn't you load the bed of the truck when you were at the mountain of cherry ? Is it to heavy to have the full load in the trailer + a full load in the bed ? Great to follow your adventures in and out the woodyard !
How far are you from Dubuque, IA? I’m half an hour north of there. Do you need black locust? Burr oak? More cherry? I got lotsa woods, but no market here. Local auction place sells spreader (bout a cord) loads of wood for $100
Nice work Chris. Cherry wood looks really good. Seller did a nice job processing that. I love his wood shed, it is awesome. I had covered all of my pallet system wood before Christmas (before you told me it was out of fashion to do that) and also filled my new woodshed at the river cabin. We got a lot more snow than you did out of the storms and high winds. You adapt to what Mother Nature gives you and I’m sure your wood mountains will still give you the results you were hoping for. GNI
Man. That’s some cold weather. What happened to the guy that you went and measured the logs and had buildings and green houses for sale. Did that not work out?
@@InTheWoodyard You should! have Bert in his spare time weld receiver hitches on the back of the trailers and buy a bigger truck so you can pull triples. 3 trailers pappa, momma and baby trailer. for some odd reason I am full of it this morning perhaps I need to go dump a load.🤪
All wood burns. For people who want cheap wood or just campfire wood, it will burn ...but fast. If you mix just a little bit in with the better wood ...that might be okay.

I am going to get more cherry today!
That cold dry fluffy snow blows of great with leaf blower, cause it will melt and make a mess soon.
Yes it does! But when it fell it was heavy wet stuff.
You need ski goggles. You’ll look funny walking around the wood yard but trust me, it’s great!

Could the cargo cover be used to keep the snow out of the trailer?

Would a leaf blower work on that snow? The snow on the wood piles that is😊
Only if it’s fluffy
No, that only works on the dry light fluffy stuff.
yup
If I may ask what type of tires are you using on your pickup truck? Are you please?
BF Goodrich KO2s (E series (12) ply) ....yes! I have ran them for decades.

Cherry and hickory are $10 more for a face cord (1/3)

Hello!
How many cubic feet in the trailer level with the extended sides?
I think it is about 240???
How many miles on that tundra now?
242k, just broke in!
Are one of the Bells and Whistles on Tonys new trailer on order have a heated bed? 🤣
Don’t give Tony any ideas 😂
Ha!!! He would if it was possible!! And a hot tub too!
Yup!
Next loads dump on concrete and scoop up with tractor and dump into the bin. That would make good video less touching your wood.😂

Why didn't you fill the pickup bed when you were picking up the wood?

Man. That’s some cold weather. What happened to the guy that you went and measured the logs and had buildings and green houses for sale. Did that not work out?
Yup, cold happens here. I have not had any free time to get it and other priorities.
Maybe use Bert's trailer it's larger Maybe save a little fuel just a thought!!
Thinking the same thing take both trailers less trips
Just a little bigger, one foot wider. Mine is higher I think.
both trailer would mean another truck same amount of trips, Bert works for a living and is not always free to help but does what he can a lot.

over load, weight limits, hard on equipment, illegal....lots of reasons.
