@@hammadoffficial6660 Caught a 44" there a couple years back. My guide caught one real close to 50". He's gotten several over 50" on Monona/Waubesa. Wingra is unique in that it has virtually no Northern Pike. So if you get a bite on a Musky bait there, almost 100% its a Musky. The rest of the lakes you catch 3 or 4 Pike for each Musky. They are so abundant on the chain, except Wingra. Hope you had a good trip. I've got my usual trip set up in May. Great little lake. Mendota's got Muskies, and BIG ones (helped a fella land a 48.5" caught on a Walleye bait from shore). But it's much better known as a trophy Northern Pike lake, in addition to Perch, Walleye, SMB and HUGE Mendota Channel Cats.
Looks like a Frabill conservation series landing net. I've had two just like it. I put them through their paces catching big Carp and HUGE Mendota Channel cats. Good nets. I landed a 34.9 LB Channel Cat with one back in 2019. I really should upsize.
D&S the best bait shop in town.
Is this Lake Mendota, Madison, WI?
Yes
Roy Vivian I’m driving up 3 hours from Chicago to Lake Wingra next week. I heard they have really nice Musky!

The water is contaminated with agricultural runoff, which gives the opportunity to catch larger fish! Most anglers prefer to eat uncontaminated fish!
