The total refusal to listen to anyone outside if their bubble, or learn their own lessons is shocking from an international team. I couldn't believe what I was watching yesterday and today got no better.

The batting had to be smart out there, Stokes was smart, the more they went after the short ball the more interested Australia became..if they had left 5-10 overs alone they were looking at a tired Aussie bowling unit..aggressive approach made them come harder, and the bowling just looks jaded..a few overs in and you can see surely they aren’t running through any batting lineup..
@bibek6713 I like the attacking intent, but taking on bouncers on a slow pitch with FIVE! men on the boundary is just ridiculous. It's throwing the game away
Always excuses with the English & Indians. Australia also gave their wicket away like Green and Head to Root, Smith played a few poor shots, Marnus. Australia deserved the wickets because there was no movement for Australia as soon as England bowl its clouds and moving around.
The annoying thing is that the original perception of bazball was that England was not going to let a bowling attack settle, rotate the strike, and punish the bad balls. I thunk they fell over their own hype when it worked to dramatic effect against née Zealand & again in Pakistan. Bizarre field settings by NZ meant it was okay to swing the bat at everything because there was very little risk because of that. They've had a complete mind melt this test. Not just batting but lethargic bowling in that first innings. I think that overconfidence has finally caught up with them. They seemed to bowl casually because they'd become so accustomed to a wicket just happening it's like our bowlers forgot they were bowling and the best batting side in test cricket. The same goes for the batters. It's all well and good wacking wagner and boult around the ground. You're playing the best bowling attack and have some common sense! Today's plan should have been simple soak up the short stuff punish bad balls wait for the normal stuff and when you've tired them out knowing they'd have to bring Travis Head on then you can attack. England fans won't start booing if you dsre to score less than 4 an over we'd much prefer you play with brains and once the first jobs done then swing away. Absolutely no reason England couldn't have at worst got level . You can play attacking, and when it's done sensibly, it's a joy to watch. But when they play it like that with no game management to the occasion at all, it's going to be a real tragic ashes for England when blindly swinging at short stuff leads to a 5-0 Australia whitewash
I don't think it is their batting. First test they won nearly every facet. Anderson did nothing, their spinner couldn't bowl in the last day and the Aussies needed 50 from their 8th to get near it. They put down more chances but their attack is nowhere. Same in this test. Their bowling in the first innings, in excellent conditions to bowl in England did nothing. 411 was Australia batting poorly and a couple of peach deliveries that came far too irregular. Anderson all of a sudden looks like an old man. They don't have a spinner. Not one bowler is quick or has any real bounce. Maybe being quick alone isn't handy for the top 5, but from 6 down its very effective. This attack is terrible.
@tin-n-tan Yes, the bowling attack definitely takes the blame as well its definitely just looked flat and at times you've felt it in the atmosphere. Now that's no dig at the crowd they've been brilliant but as a team you need to give the crowd something to cheer and watching Australia slowly grind partnerships and go fairly untroubled
Australia want to win the game by any means necessary. England are only interested in winning the game THEIR way. That's the key difference between the sides and it's showing.
In 2005 under Vaughan and Fletcher, England were extremely aggressive when batting but it had a sense of intelligence. If it was a bad ball they'd go after it. Now we are just throwing wickets away. Its reckless. The decision to declare at Edgbaston was awful. Entertainment is great but winning Ashes cricket is better. England have also been lacking with their limited variety of their attack. In 2005 Flintoff Harmison and Jones could all hit 90mph. Surely a fit Wood should start? Even a left armer who bats like Curran offers something different.
2005 is considered one of the best Ashes of all time. It required Glen McGrath, at that stage the clear best bowler in the world going down, England playing substitute fielders as a plan and some of the best cricket anyone who is under 60yo has ever seen. But yeah, you're correct, Englands attack has no Jones, Flintoff or Harmison and also right now no spinner.
Don't compare 2005 English team with current English team 2005 Ashes teams bowling attack far far better then current English bowling line up Andrew flintoff Simon Jones Steve harmison Matthew hoggard Ashley Giles bowling combination far better than Anderson board Robinson moin Ali stocks combination
As a neutral fan, I’m glad Australia is showing England bazball isn’t real test cricket. It’s a marathon not a sprint. This way of playing making England team very predictable and Australians are smartly taking advantage of it.
Can't agree with you. Bazball has not failed since it started, has it? We are still seeing 5 days of fascinating Test cricket. That's what we expect. In the ist Test England were 28-2 in 2nd innings and still managed 273 runs after overcast condition with a healthy run rate. Most teams would collapse from there. And here again 300 plus runs in the ist innings. When are the bowlers going to back them up? You guys simply come and criticise just the Bazball approach everytime which is a silly thing.
England haven't been helping themselves. They bowled better today and were a tad unlucky, but if they'd batted a bit more sensibly they could have got up to at least parity with Australia before the second innings. Lyon being injured should have been a very good opportunity for a win, but England don't seem to be be savvy enough to take it.
@tytxlx6503what a dumb comment, he's taken nearly 500 wickets all around the world against some of the greatest batters we've ever seen. What he does is subtle but brilliant
Ponting is spot on. Australia has given them a lot of food for thought. The bazballers need to back up their so-called bazball approach. Its out there now guys....backup you words 'Stokey' with action as the Ausies are making you look just 'stupid'
@@chang-jungkarki1684 Thanks for the correction but just a small.correction on your part. Isn't it that Australia was just better on the day or just better at 5day cricket than England. Many people can see bazball or whatever it is will never wirk.most of the time against good opposition. Try it against minnows yes but good opposition will expose you. Australia have played this kind of cricket for years...aggression with some patience....not playing as if its a 50over game. Its a 5day game of skill and technique
@@rhitambhargoswami8696 Now that is what bazball does throwing away you wickets....its just plain reckless but do go on don't change your appraoch and see where that will get you against good opposition
I agree with both Riki and KP regarding Uzzi Khawaja. He was the true hero of the first test and may yet be the hero at Lords. He totally controlled the first test from the moment he marked his crease on the first day. He dictated the pace of the game and could have pulled the trigger at any time but until the last day, had no need to. His unruffled persistence and patience is going to force many own goals for the rest of the series. As Ricky says, the more the Pomms double down as newlyweds with bazzorama the more they become committed to their vows. Uzzi will be testing their resolve time and again and their high watermark for patience is bound to be exposed. It is going to be fascinating but should conclusively be the death of bazzorama by the end of the series. I am beside myself with anticipation to see the Pomms response when they are 4 for 30. It has every potential to be wonderful entertainment. We have a team of seasoned soldiers here with one singular objective in a war for the Ashes. The enemy is a bunch of individual aspiring golfers, some of whom, including their general, entered the battle with preexisting medical conditions. They are hoping to qualify as entertainers for Cirque de Soleil. There is the most preposterous mismatch here, of a team bent on winning the Ashes, playing on the same paddock as a mob of individuals seeking to entertain in their own unique ways. General Stokes openly admitted and is proud of his soldiers for placing little relevance on the result of the war. Well! I think by the time hostilities have ceased Uzzi will be called up for a knighthood. His presence at the crease allows the batting order to play their natural game without worry about the state of the game, as Uzzi quietly accumulates at his own pace infuriating the Pomms. The death of bazzball can't come quick enough. It's laughable that the most boring cricketers in the world, expect the rest of the cricketing world to believe they could offer a more positive and entertaining brand. They have precious little experience by way of historical evidence, to show this is even remotely possible.
@@carokat1111 Yes. My own thought is, he will prove harder to dislodge than Smith and that is likely to force the Pomms to implode. I can see him batting through an entire innings - not out.
"General Stokes", good analogy. He just keeps sending the troops over the top and wondering why they keep getting mowed down. Just like in the First World War it takes an Aussie to devise winning strategies when the Poms are all out of ideas (to be fair the Canadians and the Scots deserve some of that credit too, it's probably lucky for England they don't play international cricket, lol). Here they come again boys, Starcy get your machine gun!
@@MyPaddy2011 He very nearly did in the first game, and that was when the England bowlers were fresh. I would not be the least bit surprised to see Usman carry his bat in at least one innings.
ricky is numero uno in commentary, expert analysis, and frankly still probably the worlds greatest short ball player. love him, KP has been great too. he adds some difference to coverage. mel brillliant as ever, creating media pathways for future ladies.
The thing is for bazball to succeed against australia you need to prepare a green pitch so that your 125 kmph bowlers can do something. On a flat deck aus bowlers would just outbowl england bowlers by a distance. On a green pitch just going hammer and tongs with the bat can result in a pretty good score of 300+ and you are giving your bowlers some assistance which they NEED.
Bazball is by no means a complete concept not everyone in the England side can even describe what action bazball is or describe what it accomplishes. brendan macallum needs to communicate better what everyone's role is from start to finish and how it achieves wins and overcomes opposition's talents. At the moment it just looks like they are gaslighting themselves into being a better team
England's strategy, considering the strength of their team, is a good strategy. England do not have the quality that Australia do so playing unorthodox with added variability makes sense and though the argument is "why did you give your wicket away?" conversely a more orthodox approach could've seen them 50-75 runs shorter at the points when they did give their wicket away. Jimmy Anderson needs resting for the third test. He's not been anywhere near his levels so far (he is 41 after all). The wicket he got today was just Marnus being a little impatient. The fact he didn't get a single regular wicket on an overcast day like today is worrying as these would typically be conditions he thrives in. Seam attack of Broad, Woakes, Wood, Tongue is probably the way to go for Headingley unless you bring a spinner in.
i differ a bit.. whenever australia has struggled in england hiatorically, they have struggled coz of swinging pitches. Stokes has taken that away by asking batting friendly pitches so that they can attack(or rather so that his attacking batters dont get out) If broad Anderson did have got awing pitches they wud have still troubled aussies. Basically Bazball and everything related to it has been brilliantly countered by Aussies and it is visible how much aussies have prepared for this series
@@da12v the problem this year which is one that hasnt been encountered in previous ashes series is the weather. We've had the nicest June that I can remember which has meant the grounds have been dry and much more akin to the types of surfaces seen in Australia (but with less bounce) than typical English pitches
I feel this total might already be too many for England to get. The Australian bowling is very clever and it's tight. Playing bazball against new Zealand with wibbly wobbly medium pacers is fine but Australia have tall, skilful and quick bowlers.
Yeh, England couldn't make 350 in the first innings, no way they're going to chase that down on day 5 at Lords with Starc bowling chin music and sandshoe crushers.
No frontline spinner at the home of Cricket? It's hilarious how Australia's part-timer Head - troubled England more than England's swing (and certainly, not fast) bowlers did the Australian batters. 2-0 down already if Australia plays till Tea tomorrow.
Test cricket is ultimately a really simple game. The team that does tgr basics of battinf, bowling and fielding better generally wins test marches. Over the course of this series that has been Australia. It's why they may well finish this game 2-0 up.
Just confused batting by England. Can't just throw caution to the wind. Brooke ? Get ready for a real battering from Aussies. Tail unable to contribute any worthwhile runs.
Don't blame the tail. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Has nobody got the brains they were born with. The manner of our batting looked absolutely stupid. Ollie pope batted like Paul chuckle with that dismissal. The Australians are laughing at us. Still as long as its great to watch and Ben and the lads can have a game of golf on Monday.
Even though the short ball barrage takes a lot of effort from fast bowlers but I feel that this is the best mode of keeping run rate in check and also the best method of picking up wickets in test cricket in all conditions around the world and unless the ball is swinging a lot or the pitch is an absolute rank Turner, this short ball ploy can be used by any fast bowler anywhere even if his speed is only about 130 as eventually the batsman will get out 8 out of 10 times if this ploy is used for a long period of time.
I thought our bowling was decent today. Just didnt take our chances and on another day we would have had 4-5 wickets. Whats dissapointing is the lack of value on our wickets and giving them away so cheaply. Just bat a bit smarter we could have been in a totally different position.
As a neutral fan...I had my doubts about sustainability for the new approach of England (bazball) and still do...they need atleast couple of batsman who can grind the opposition bowlers and then others can cash-in
_[Off Topic, I know. But I want to say it and I can’t find anywhere nearer today’s date.]_ I think Kevin Pietersen was a ‘kin Great cricketer and a marvellous asset to the England side of which he was a member. During that time, for the record, I had no problem at all with hearing his opinions, which he had as much right to hold and to hold forth, as you or I. Watching him bat, I always felt proud that he was batting for England. And now ( _that I finally have access to Test Cricket_ ) it’s a genuine pleasure to discover that he’s also an exciting and opinionated commentator who seems entirely natural before the cameras. I wonder what else he can do? _No, I _*_was not paid_*_ to post this comment._
The batting line up needs to differentiate between aggression, which they have generally been doing well, and stupidity, which has been apparent in this series when they have squandered positions of strength. I fear Jimmy and maybe even broad, might just be on the turn, I sincerely hope not, but when they aren''t getting wickets in these conditions you have to wonder. Robinson has looked very pedestrian and unfit. Dropping foakes has definitely effected the teams balance and Stokes not bowling much or batting much definitely weakens the team
I feel like the opening sessions of Day 1 and Day 3 demonstrate the fundamental contrast between these teams that might decide the series, even though yeah lots of time left in this game and series. Australia put value on their wickets and fought through arguably the best bowling conditions we've seen so far, while maintaining a measured aggression that made it difficult for England to settle, England tried to keep flashing away rather than get settled and toughing it out early and fell apart. .
Bazball has not failed yet mate. Bowlers need to find their way to backup the bazballers. Wood deserves a spot. Today England just threw their wickets away, hopefully they won't repeat it. And Bazball gives a 5 days fascinating Test cricket, not like sub-continent pitches where it ends in 3 days🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. There is nothing to hate the bazball approach. Just chill 👍👍
Bazball or not, Australia has just a better team, better stability than England. Australia have players who can bat long (Khwaja, Smith), at the same time players who can score quickly if necessary (Head, Smith, Carey). Lots of people are questioning the bazball technique, but even without that England just have three quality batter in Root, Stokes, Bairstow. The rest does not have the quality to withstand Australian bowling attack!
Harry Brook is going to be as good as Root. This current style is actually doing him a disservice. He's still averaging 42 whilst negating a lot of his strengths by being overly attacking.
Whether it was calculated or not, Australia have shown how you beat Bazball. If you bowl short, you can only do one of two things.....leave and defend those balls, which is the opposite of bazball, or you can keep trying to play high risk shots with the field set back, and eventually you WILL get out. The whole point of test cricket is playing the ball on its merits, leaving the ball well, defending well, and punishing the bad ball. England dont do this. The "go hard" approach will never work against the best opposition. England 2005 under Duncan Fletcher was the perfect "Bazball"..... it was the perfect combination of aggressiveness when needed, and playing solidly when needed.
Usz-ball will beat bazball everyday of the week, slow and steady wins the test. Since he returned to the Aussie team he has been unflappable and given Australia so much stability, he is Australia’s run rock, always reliable. Such a great player, thanks god they bought him back! Good on you Usman!
Why hasn't England fostered super fast bowlers . I remember seeing Larwood on Film Tyson in the 50s , Snow and others who terrorised Australia What Has happened ?
There's been some good ones in more recent times. Harmison, Flintoff, Devon Malcolm, Archer, and Mark Wood from the current crop. Pakistan and Australia do seem to have a fast bowling culture that's not really present in England, but England pitches don't really lend themselves to it. Probably the same reason there isn't as much fast bowling talent in India by comparison, the pitches don't reward it. If England's curators switch to preparing hard bouncy pitches then fast bowling will prosper as a result. As some have pointed out elsewhere in the comments this is precisely what's happened in New Zealand - they gave up on preparing green tops in favour of hard bouncy pitches several years ago and suddenly now there's a whole fleet of good quicks from NZ.
I have a feeling (which I’ve had since day 1 of the first test) that australia will be happy to make England bowl themselves into the ground these first two tests. So if they can, I reckon Australia might just bat as long as possible, rule out a loss and make it hard to England bowlers to back up for the next test. Assuming they aren’t bowled out, I can’t see australia declaring before they are at least 500 ahead and not until the last 20 mins of day 4 at the earliest. But I think there is an equal chance of them not declaring until lunch day 5 if they can bat long enough. Australia are playing the long game and winning the short game in the process - but their eyes are on the long game prize.
"Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?" ...Maximus in Gladiator. I think the only people this English shower are entertaining are the Australians!
Bazball way of playing Test cricket is difficult aganist quality Australian attack. The English batters got balls buzzing around their ear, that's the Aussies style of bazz ball. The world was waiting to see this contest and have enjoyed every bit.
I personally don’t believe we’ve performed with “Bazball”, particularly in this test. We look nervous and out of sync, everyone looks as though they’re playing their individual game, rather than working as a team, which is one of the main challenges of playing test cricket. I don’t actually think Australia have it all their gears yet, but their experience and class has allowed them to cruise through, whilst we’re in chaos.
I look at Englands team and struggle to see how they beat Australia playing conventionally. Bazball is closer to their natural games (for the batters, Anderson has no idea where to ball it) and their only chance to win. It’s hard to just turn it on and off, I think these tactics are a bit all or nothing. Also, the loss of overs will help Australia and they know it, it helped us in Egbaston. If Australia can bat close to 3 sessions on day 4 they’re laughing. If that time wasn’t lost, it would be a completely different predicament with England having 4 sessions+ to chase a big score.
England are using one day tactics in a five day test match, it is never going to work, we have got it wrong from day one of the first test with the early declaration. Root and the tail could probably have added 30 or 40 runs and we would not have lost. We are even worse in this test, Australia are grinding us down and I can see them setting us a target of 500 plus.
I still feel England will get another chance in this game. In the first test the initiative swayed and it's gone the same this test when England were 180-1. Fingers crossed they can smarten up and make a game of it
At the moment if this was a boxing match, the pretender is being shown who is boss by the old wily champion, but the young pretender has had the old guy on the ropes several times. The champion is hanging on and having to use all the tricks he has in his locker to hold on. At times he is literally on his last effort but somehow it's enough and he puts his opponent down. Yet such is the aggression if he lets that pretender ever break through, then he knows he is going to get knocked-out and hit the deck, and counted out. Neither are prepared to back down, so there is going to be lots of blood spilled here. It is going to get brutal. Don't assume England can't fight back even if Australia go 2 : 0 up.
England acts like getting the same score at a higher run rate is by far the best option. Batting for longer reduces your chances of losing (more chance of draw than lose) and tires out the bowlers a lot more. I’m glad Australia’s top priority is to actually win and not just entertain. Be as ‘boring’ as you want
England are giving up batting time and Were taking their batting time. Australia learnt this under ponting after the waugh years. With lyon out aus were ok to let the eng tail wait for the new ball and flounder about for a bit longer cause theres a lot of time let, but head changed that plan imo. Got to use that time at the crese. Eng got schooled today.
Do not count out England as of yet. They've chased huge totals in the 4th innings in the last 12 months. And remember Australia do not have Nathan Lyon who's out injured. Fascinating 2 days left 🔥🔥🔥
They couldn't even make it to 350 in the first innings. No way they're chasing down a big total on day 5 at Lords. If Australia bats until tea on day 4 England might as well pack it in. Chin music > Bazball.
We had several batsmen in a position to make a big score but they were to obsessed trying to play like a T20 match. When have you ever seen any one in a test match attempt the shots that Ducket and Brooks got out to, just leave the bloody ball and duck out of the way. Someone should tell them they have 5 days to play in a test not 20 overs it's not boring to actually leave a few balls in fact it's using your brain.
England has also given the top four a few chances- some hard but at test level.. it couldve been diffrent. But, thats what happens whenbyou drop good players on flat putches
Brendon Mccullum is here for a reason, to take England's test cricket to it's inevitable end. Btw i am so old that i have watched England's cricket since likes of Nazar, Atherton and Caddik and Gough were playing and they did not need 'Bazball' to beat aussies back then.
Cant believe inspite of getting the best conditions to bat and bowl, England are in such a position , in their own country... Aus deserve to win the Ashes convincly..
Bazball is only about 1 aspect of the game. Batting. What about England s bowling ? They lack quality bowlers. Aussie bowlers way better. England s batting shudnt be blamed.
England had the most favorable conditions for both bowling and batting throughout the match yet couldn't capitalise on it, Australia's experience and skill triumphing over England's luck.
England are almost gone mentally. Their approach is deluded.. you can't just will yourself to success, you need to back it up with substance.. the Aussies are playing test cricket while England over complicate things with silly mind games..
Love bazball, hope England doesn't give up on it due to a loss here and there. They are the ones who are making cricket interesting for viewers all around the world
I mean I appreciate the positive mindset of play but just throwing away wicket by playing some ridiculous shots have no justification. Pope and brook dismissals are just hard to believe that these are test cricket dismissals. England have given things away and I won’t be surprised if it becomes 2-0.
I suspect until England stops producing green seaming wickets all over the country, they will never produce the consistent type of fast bowlers that you see in other countries. Look what NZ did, they made a point of not producing those types of wickets anymore and ever since they’ve produced some great fast bowlers, in particular the left armers.
Thinking that every shot they play is going to go to the boundary is plain arrogance and egoist. Aussies have dug it out, playing the long game. They know that some good balls are worth showing the respect and bad balls must be put away. Aus 5-0.
I'm sure there's a cunning plan mate. Maybe mccullum out of retirement. Maybe the plan was to go 2 down. Seriously I think we've been stupidly arrogant.
@@chrisiveson6838 the difference between Aus and Eng is Aus - we want to win test match anyhow Eng - we will win now tests in our new style of approach
I believe that as a result of his personal tragedy Stokes fell out of love with test cricket and no longer has the appetite or application for the longest form of the game. As for the rest of them they do not appear to have the stomach or mentality for a the variations of a 5 day test.
This England team are in danger of looking like one of the worst Ashes sides we’ve fielded in recent memory but it’s entirely down to the approach and mindset not a lack of talent!
Of all England’s batsmen Root’s approach is the most baffling. He is too good a batsman and can score too quickly playing orthodox shots to play like a fool. It’s almost as it he wants his share of the limelight that the more extravagant batsmen get due to their power or inventiveness. The old Joe Root would have been the backbone of our batting order but the way he played in the first innings was frankly ridiculous.
England have blown it. Some of the cricket shots were shameful. Throwing their wickets away. If they are bowling bouncers just drop the hands and swerve. You have a helmet!! Baz ball has made them lose the ashes metal
“Because their tactics aren’t working?” [JK]. I actually like this England team and I prefer it to what we got in the last Ashes. Also… the minor matter of Australia being the better team. Anyway, it’s not as if my opinions matter 😢😂

I believe Khawaja has a really calm temperament, which just adds to his ability to just do what he does so well.
A true Aussie right here.
Stokes has taken that away by asking batting friendly pitches so that they can attack(or rather so that his attacking batters dont get out)
If broad Anderson did have got awing pitches they wud have still troubled aussies.
Basically Bazball and everything related to it has been brilliantly countered by Aussies and it is visible how much aussies have prepared for this series
@@da12v the problem this year which is one that hasnt been encountered in previous ashes series is the weather. Thats the true power of Bazball. no need to use your brain just swing at whatever comes at you.
Test cricket is about patience and the long game
Rubbish. Its about swinging at EVERYTHING and hoping to connect with the ball.
But I want to say it and I can’t find anywhere nearer today’s date.]_
I think Kevin Pietersen was a ‘kin Great cricketer and a marvellous asset to the England side of which he was a member.
There is a massive difference between intelligent aggressive intent, (knowing when to attack and when to hold the line) and recklessness
with Bazball nobody needs to waste their time thinking. Just swing and hope. works like a charm
Ricky Ponting with the nice Richie Benaud inspired fashion choice 👌 😅
I feel like the opening sessions of Day 1 and Day 3 demonstrate the fundamental contrast between these teams that might decide the series, even though yeah lots of time left in this game and series. Australia put value on their wickets and fought through arguably the best bowling conditions we've seen so far, while maintaining a measured aggression that made it difficult for England to settle, England tried to keep flashing away rather than get settled and toughing it out early and fell apart. .
Bazball got a reality check 😂😂😂 love it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bazball has not failed yet mate.
Stokes hasn’t scored a 50 for a long time!!
@@neilmurphy4859 Hope so. But even then, he wasn't tested before this series.
BINGO. Nailed it.
Keep up the good work, you never let your fans down with great entertainment 😎
Let them down by losing the series instead

Bazball way of playing Test cricket is difficult aganist quality Australian attack.
The English batters got balls buzzing around their ear, that's the Aussies style of bazz ball.
The world was waiting to see this contest and have enjoyed every bit.
Aussies teaching the arrogant English cricket team a lesson
Can't see Australia being able to decide the chase. I think they will bat out their innings and hope to get a 400 plus lead.
We're literally just sitting back and waiting for the English to do something stupid. So far that tactic is paying off.
500? I think 400 would be more than enough.
We are even worse in this test, Australia are grinding us down and I can
see them setting us a target of 500 plus.
Leaving Boland out was the right move ...Starc has been awesome and seamers bowling top of off have had no impact
