      You can take a set of Micrometers and T gages to check it. I asked my machine shop to check it when I had them hone it. So I got a standard set of rings and bearings

    • @jakeblowme310
      @jakeblowme310 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jakeblowme310 yes I would take it to a shop and get everything checked by a machine shop so they can verify how much material needs to be taken off for everything to work properly. Then order your rebuild parts according to them. If they are just honing the block and micro polishing the crank, and it’s the first rebuild on the engine, then you can assume to use Standard sized rings and bearing

      I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to spin the whole column. You loosen the 2nd one and spin the top ring to lower it right? Spin the 2nd one to raise it, cause all it does it spin the spindle. Not the springs. Right?

      Well I did say at the beginning I was rebuilding all of suspension. So I also made it a better view to see what you were doing. And the upper adjustable control arms are a must if you are lowering unless you grind your factory ones down some so they don’t get stuck in the frame
