    VIDEO DESCRIPTION
How to draw in perspective: This drawing tutorial provides drawing tips and a basic introduction to understanding the fundamental principles of linear perspective. We will discuss how to do a linear perspective drawing in one point ( 1-point,1 point, one-point ) perspective, two point ( 2 point, 2-point, two-point ) perspective, and three point ( 3 point, 3-point, three-point ) perspective.
This can help set the foundation for drawing a house, room, building, street, city, background, etc. using linear perspective

I am an Interior design Student; and for us, Perspective are very very important.
This Video is so far the best one I've encountered, You actually explained far better than what my faculty has been doing.
This Video is really really helpful
I didn't know how this could be brought out to something simple at the end once we understand the Basics
And all your Videos are so helpful in terms of understanding in simple terms
Thank You and Keep going for more.

i've always been afraid to pick up trying to learn perspective again, i tried alot of books and art classes in high school and the way everyone explained it never really made sense to me, the humiliation and frustration of not having the concept click with me was enough to deter me from picking it back up for a while. i decided to pick it up on a whim tonight, hoping someone could explain it to me- the way you really thoroughly broke it down has confidently helped me to finally grasp perspective in my mind, i feel like i can really understand it now and start studying it! many thanks!!!!!!!!

I searched all over the internet, practiced perspective, 3D, and foreshortening for weeks, never understood what I was doing nor did my work improve. Then I found your video tutorials Alphonso, I want to thank you for teaching the concept of this very difficult endeavor in a way that is systematic, thorough and easy to understand. You have helped me to improve my drawing tremendously and gotten me past a brick wall. Thank you for your tutorials and I will continue to follow you. When I feel like I'm good enough, I'll draw a picture and post it here :)

One of the best explanations by far that I've seen about perspective without all the professionalism and technical jargon found in schools. Your teaching is more educational than instructive. A quality that is rare among teachers today. I often find that this is one of the main reasons why so many students have a hard time learning anything. The teachers seem to care more about being "professional" and sounding super intelligent, then they care about actually making a connection with their students. This is why I generally don't like tutorials as they are almost always about following instructions and not explaining the thought process or the reasoning behind why certain things work the way that they do. Your teaching method reflects your art. Complex > simple > complex. Anyway, your videos are superb. You just earned yourself another subscriber! :)

Perspective is a mind-blowin' thing. I learned it in high school art class a few centuries back, it still amazes me. You know you respect it when you keep a 6' ruler and a big block of wood with a screw in it as an anchoring point for drawing subtle perspective. ;-)

Great - thanks for this! I have a question and struggling to find the answer or to work out...if you have 2 point perspective - say you're looking at a street view corner from above (e.g. everyonecandraw.net/Perspective/2%20Point%20City%20Birds%20Eye%20View/Two%20Point%20Perspective%20Bird's%20Eye%20View.html) so you can see the roofs of the buildings , what happens when you want to add a building that you're not seeing from the corner, but from one side only? I guess you don't extend the lines from the sides, but to see the roof, how would you extend the lines to the vanishing point? It's a bit hard to explain but essentially, can you combine 1 point and 2 point perspective and if so, where does the vanishing point for 1 point perspective go - would it go to the right if positioned on the right side of the midway point of the vanishing point, or is combining just not possible? I keep sketching out what I mean but I can't get it to work!

In your 1 point perspective column. The 2nd cube looks incorrect. Shouldn’t this cube be 2 point perspective? Since the plane is not squared to me, shouldn’t all 1 point perspective the plane facing me should always make a square? Your one makes an I.
Please clarify if I am correct? Very confused at this point.

Very clear.your voice is easy to listen to. How do I find the horizon line on photo when the photo is taken from above for example: in photo I am looking down at my cat. i want to draw something behind the cat but I am not sure of proportions.

I don't know if you will answer but I have doubts.
Ask me to be more specific if needed. I'm learning to draw and I'm starting with perspective, I understand 1,2,3 points perspective when drawing cubes or boxes, but I don't completely understand them. My doubt is when 1 point perspective become 2 point perspective? Let's say you're drawing boxes or cubes and you start with 1 point perspective then when 1 point perspective is going to stop being 1 point perspective and start to be 2 point perspective?

The future of schooling should be through videos. Have teachers video their course/class and let students choose which teachers make the most sense to them. Every kids different, one teacher might explain stuff perfect for one kid and leave another kid scratching his head.
All these perspective videos on y.t. Yet yours just make the most sense to me. I find that with the majority of your videos.
Anyway...thanks for putting this out here for anyone to see.
    Btw...no more sirens?

Thanks alot...and I agree completely about having a more open platform for students!! I always tend to favor the teachers who taught to my learning style...
And yes no more sirens LOL ...I moved. No, just kidding, just lucky I guess lol

Ok so on perspective maybe I just didn't fully understand. When do I use 1 point 2 points an 3 point perspective? I'm a little lost on when an how to play with that. I get it's at my eye line . But does eye line mean the way I am looking , and how do adj that between the horizon line
