I'm always amazed at the ingenious, but simple, things people come up with. Looks like a great tool. I work in a DIY store and will look for it. And, of course, your explanation and demonstrations is also ingeniously and simply presented, as always. Thank you! I've learned so much from you.

If you need a tool and don't have time to go spend money on a new tool you can lay a square-ended shovel / spade on the floor with the blade under the drywall and then step on the handle to lift the drywall.

I am short, and my armspan makes carrying drywall by myself impossible. That one feature makes this tool worth the money. Even if I have a helper we look like Mutt and Jeff with one end of the sheet higher than the other.

    Leah,
FooFoo Rabbit speaks for me. You are awesome and you should have 1,000,000 viewers. I rarely, RARELY, subscribe. Maybe 3 to 5 in all the years it has been available. I tuned in to your drywall 3-in-1 tool, and BOOM! You got me. I was a technical writer for much of my life, and was considered very good at what I did. Your understanding of the material, your ability to sequence talking points appropriately, your rhythm and clear manner of speaking, and so much more make you an excellent video instructor. I have worked with many dozens of these so called so-called "talents", and even after years of work they mumble, spit saliva, and mis-pronounce words at an alarming (yet somehow a bit comical) rate. You have mastered a skill and make it look easy. I know it is not. Oh, and most importantly, I really like hardware stores and rarely escape without spending money. Of course, I never see this as a waste of money, because someday, somebody, on some project...........!
    Sincerely
    Bluedot

The main reason for the lift.. Wich in the drywall industry we call a toe kick.. is to lift the bottom sheet tight to the upper sheet of drywall that you've already hung tight against the ceiling.. if you just need to get the the drywall off the floor , use a couple small scrap pieces of drywall laying flat in the floor and then sit the drywall down on the scrap piece.. Wich in the drywall industry we call dunnage..

    1. Use a regular rasp which you have in your toolbox anyway; 2. Put/fix a 2 - 3mm plastic spacer on the floor to give clearance; 3. Carry the boards by HAND to avoid edge damage. But I like your vids anyway.

I have the same one. Looks cool but not for professional use. Main fail is that the weight is on the back so it always falls back instead of staying forward like other lifters. Rasp is not really needed because the tool is not in the pouch, but on the floor. At least Ive never seen anyone carry lifter in the pouch. It's usable, but if you work for yourself and speed is important I suggest some other lifter.

I got one thinking it was the same size as the Marshalltown one at the hardware store. It is not. As a carrier, it'll smash up your boards. Yes, it can be done, but only in ideal conditions. Sooner than later, it'll cost you.
Second, the rasp is huge and does not extend the full gap. It doesn't track at all, so the advantage of those tracking edges is gone. I will be installing teflon sheet cutouts to narrow the width to a loose 5/8, improve the tracking, and keep the sheet in contact with the actual blades.
