I’ll always be a subs fan. But I’ll definitely appreciate that they got the same SAC English voice actors from the first two seasons.
This was an excellent action sequence....Posthumans are very, very terrifying. Section 9 almost got completely obliterated....fitting title to an awesome episode. I think Season 2 was quite decent....yet I am not a fan of Ghost in the Shell (I just never gave it a chance until now). So kudos to the animation and amazing team on this new version!!!

I wouldn't judge GITS based off of the 2045 show. You're better off with the first two seasons of Gits Sac. The original movie is good, but it's quite different from the tv series & manga.
I think the studio did a better job animating in 3D than they did last season. I actually enjoyed action segments like this a bit more than with 2D, because it let me get a feel of the scope of the firefights. Although, it also lacks a lot of what made the original SAC, so good, neverthless now that this series is done they can maybe pick it up again a few years down the line and use 2D animation and have actual stand alone episodes like the name suggests.

I really loved their character models too, especially Suzuka Mizukane's. Shooting RPGs, and dodging bullets;

Stand Alone Complex didn't refer to stand alone episodes. It referred to copycat crimes which look organized but werre completely organic like the spread of a meme. Gits SAC 1 & 2 both had an overarching story that explored this theme. I'm not sure about 2045. I only saw the 1st season. I just found out today that they did a season 2. I do hope that they start over or pretend that this never happened.

For the same reason Masamune Shirow stopped making manga because they're all stupid, look at them, everybody just saw Mamoru Oshii's movie and hardly anybody read the original work, Masamune was committed to writing about extremely complex topics, with his drawings he shaped the cyberpunk aesthetic, and despite being one of the most important authors of the genre everyone remembers only the film that sums up his work.
What comes next is my favorite scene from SAC_2045!!! The hand-to-hand fight with Suzuka Mizukane on this freeway was Sooo beautifully choreographed!!! Her movements were amazing!! Especially her fight with Pazu was Soo good, as well as Motoko!! And the Tachikomas shooting at her was intense!! She looked very hot and attractive! Sad she never really talked or got character development... She could have gotten with Togusa who looked much cooler now
I am Soo glad this was in English!! Motoko's Stand Alone Complex English voice is so iconic for her! As well as Batou! I was also surprised to realize since watching 2nd Gig that Saito has Kakashi's voice!

I mean, they stepped it up from season 1 but man...I'll never forget how blown my mind was in 2003 by the opening of the first Stand Alone Complex, I don't think most people had seen anything like that and to go from a technical marvel of 3D art like that to the robot doing backflips up thr stairs it's like damn...almost 20 years of technological advancement and it feels like they went backwards if anything.
I laughed when the posthuman started dodging.

I admit I was highly skeptical of this CGI, but the storyline and the voiceovers kept me grounded with it without regrets.

Let’s see. she beautiful, strong, badass, has a pleasant voice that oozes confidence with each word, independent, and highly intelligent. It’s not hard to see why you fell for her, many guys (and gals) have the hots for the major.

I love this version of GITS. The animations and story line are amazing,we still have the same old characters (I like the approach they had with Togusa,seeing how he used to be the only human among Section 9,but now him being a cyborg too feels like he really fits in now), and the Tachikoma's are just as rowdy and hilarious as the original's

The issue with 3D is that a lot of details are lost, and it generally ages like shit (as video games do) because of new 3D technologies
Furthermore I can also notice the ghosting when someone is firing and this is very annoying
I think that ghosting effect whenever they fire is intentional. Guess it's supposed to make look intense?
Its always done whenever the camera is up close as they're firing.
The CGI is amazing this season
Well I enjoyed it. But the Two last episodes was heart breaking and made anger because the bad guys won and a lot of humanity chose to become Ends. I didn't like that. It was just making me so Mad. I keep saying Why! Just Why and Don't Do it, Don't let the Doom Happen. 80% is Great. 20% Bad. for me at least.
I will agree - I was disappointed that a whiny little manbaby was essentially able to defeat Section 9.

Ghost in The Shell SAC 2045 is an original anime made by NETFLIX produced by Sola Digital Art studio which mainly focused on 3d animation. So unless of course you're talking about the original manga of Ghost in the Shell SAC series let me ask again, what manga?

Great anime but garbage animation style used to animate it. Please stop using 3d animation. 3d animation ruined Berserk and now it's doing the same to Ghost in the Shell. I understand you are trying to pump out a lot of anime very fast. So you chose to go with 3d since it is faster and easier. But at the cost to the quality and the overall value of the anime.

I enjoyed it. It wasn’t as good as 2D SAC and storyline it lacked a bit, but nevertheless this season redeemed the entire SAC2045 timeline.
I agree while i do think 3d CGI animation can be good, it's rarely done, there's a difference between choosing CGI for the story you want to tell for artistic value and choosing CGI because it's cheaper and faster this show seems like the latter sadly.

The post-humans dodging bullets was BS for me!
I might could let this go in the case of characters, like Suzuka, since she's a full cyborg.
But in the case of Takeshi and that guy who owned that mansion in America? GTFOH!
No mere human can dodge a bullet! Not even with a cyberbrain!
And even a full cyborg can't dodge minigun bullets!
So the fighting between Suzuka and the Tachikomas is an epic fail to me!
They just went too fantasy with this one! The OG SAC series was more realistic!
And I don't really mind that they switched to 3D CGI, but I think this is just outright ugly and "Fortnite-ish"!
True, I'm not an expert in it, so I don't know how a "well made 3D CGI" should look like, but I watched all the CGI Resident Evil movies and even the first one from 2008 looks lightyears better than this crap!
On the other hand, I give a little props to them, cause the second season looks better than the first one.
After I finished watching this series, the way I see it, the only reason Production IG decided to make this, is to pocket money from Netflix.
Also, to me, it feels like even the OG Director, Kenji Kamiyama didn't put much effort into it.
I understand that it's not easy to write a good "antagonist" after guys like Aoi (The Laughing Man) and Hideo Kuze.
But Takeshi feels like he's just a badly stitched rip-off of Aoi and Hideo.
And the whole 2045 series feels like a bad 2nd GIG rip-off on steroids.
Overall, while I liked some of its ideas, this series was a bad Ghost in the Shell experience for me.
Maybe even worse than Arise.
I hope that the next time we'll receive a new (or some kind of form of sequel like this one) GitS anime, it will be on par with the likes of 1995, Innocence, the first two SAC seasons and Solid State Society.
