@@MrDsabourin and you can’t forget Dave Navarro playing guitar.
It was an LA writing session. They bring in a bunch of hot shots riders and musicians and pair them up in separate rooms so they come back. They play they have the artist and the artist chooses the songs they wanna do. It’s formula.
Dave Navaro and Flea got paired together and jammed until they came up with us song. But flea got re-recorded because he was too sloppy.

I don’t think people understand as a performer, how hard it is to hit every single one of those words without missing a single word! When the breakdown happed, that was really her first breath of air. I’m not saying that she’s not breathing throughout the performance, but when the breakdown hits that’s her first chance to catch her breath. I was in a 90s hip-hop metal band as the lead singer so I can appreciate good talent as good as anyone. As a teenager she was one of my favorite musicians. BTW, at the time I listened to shit like Deftones, Korn and Fear Factory and I was also listening to her album on repeat. She rocks!

The unmistakable impression is of an extremely pissed off woman, and Alanis' ability to translate that melodically, through thoughtful lyrics, didn't just net her a hit single, but had a transformative effect on popular music. Came upon this on happenstance. What a great appearance on the show! They literally couldn't have sounded any better than they did. And I love that she was just like, "They can mute it out if they want to, but I'mma say it regardless.," & dropped the F bomb on national television. She is SUCH a BOSS! There's no one else like her.
I was lucky enough to see a show when she was on her Jagged Little Pill tour. I for sure knew that her talent was unique & that she was a huge deal, but at that age (20) I didn't compute that she would end up influencing & have a major impact on the female music industry.
I'm seeing her live in July. First time I'll have seen her live since the Jagged Little Pill tour. Can't wait!
