Warren Buffett bought Apple shares in the first quarter of 2016, which was at that time below the orange line that Chuck showed in the 15Y view. So, valuation matters and it matters a lot!
Great illustration of so many high quality names in the tech space by the only and only Mr. Valuation. NVDA's chart in particular reminds me of CSCO back in the 1990s. Back then Cisco also used to trade at extremely high multiples as market participants thought that it could do nothing wrong and priced the stock at absurd valuation. Now it did go on to grow at high rates, but then lot of that growth (and then some more) was already baked into the share price. This one is likely going to be the same as history almost always repeats!!
I used to buy and sell NVDA for $10 and $12. I made some money until I sold it for $12 and I'm still waiting for it to come back down to $10. That was in the 1990s, I think. Maybe I should give up waiting.

Hey Chuck, great video as always, Don't listen to the haters! I can say I may not always agree with your selections but I respect the hell out of you, your insight, and the program you made. Keep doing an amazing job!
Some time ago, yuo published a video about the performance of a portfoglio build on the basis of attractive valuation. Can you pleas show us the uptated performance of this portfolio ? thank you
Coincidentally, we are working on improving the preset screening section. This will include screens for international stocks etc., I will add your suggestion to the list. Thanks, Chuck
Is there a way to screen for companies whose sales/earnings/FCF regularly (or say more often than 30% of the time) surprise to the upside by a significant percentage?
@brianh9014 Redwire Space, they do satelite manufacturing and on the tech side space mission support... breakeven cash flow, positive ebitda, 180mil market cap with 250mil revenue... i love it, they also 3d printed a human knee cartiledge and are working on heart tissue now, just for the cool factor
If they were all at fair value you would certainly be correct. But they're not, and MPW was simply offered as a niche for those in need of high income. Not all investments are purchased for the same reasons. Why do people invest in CDs or bonds?
