You have to walk up 400 stairs to reach this temple and 400 stairs to walk down. I call this 800 stairs, lots of stairs and sure hope your wearing comply shoes. I had no doubt you would make it. It's been a while since I watched a how to class on this channel. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The process of folding backwards; I have seen videos of the Japanese making steel and I have watched them make omelettes and now I have watched noodles being made this way..I look forward to trying to make the noodles and the soup. Thanks for the video. It's the best one I have watched in a while.
@@JapanbyFood I watched a katana being made and they would take the red hot steel bar and continually fold it backwards while they hammered out the blade. That video was from the city where they make all of the knives. This was about the time I realized how much I had fallen for the people and the craftsmanship they possess.
I just came back from japan - and went up to the Chureito pagoda! thank you for giving me good reminders (and no so good reminders) from the travel to the top.
Update: Disaster. Kind of. 1. You better have a rolling pin Otherwise you’re getting a full upper body workout. 2. I don’t have all that hot pot stuff, so I threw in a bunch of miso cup-of-soup packets - which had tofu chunks, and seaweed pieces. 👍 3. Looked like a pot of tapeworms. Other than that, pretty delicious, and tasty! Thanks @ JBF!

The Mt. Fuji cake looks like weird tourist thing. Slice the mountain and drop in some Hokkaido ice cream. The noodles look awesome. Chewy, thick noodles...yum.
Exactly, maybe they should put custard cream as the lava inside the volcano, and the cake should come in 2 sizes, with a small version the size of a cupcake
I don't know if it's just me but I like climbing these staircases because it gives me a feeling of achieving something. Definitely going to make some Hoto Noodles now
