Us Mexicans got it bad lol our elders did not care about recorded documentation. I’m just finding out that some of my ancestors would change their surname because they had a fall out with their parents.

Hello!! your brother mentioned that your grandfather spoke Otomi and wanted to know a little more about that. There is a place in Mexico in the state of Queretato a town called Puerto Blanco. Everyone there speaks Otomi. Most people don't even speak castellano very well. The women there actually still dress with their native clothing. I know this because I was there in 2005. it is a very cold place, it looks like dessert and people there eat tons and tons of nopales. they are cooked all kinds of delicious ways. I hope this helps a little. 😊

No Morocco is originally indigenous to Carthage and Berber Nomadic peoples, and Mauratania(from 800bc.) They were invaded and colonized by the Moors/Arabic (hence their name Moracco) from the 8th-11th century. It goes back and forth between the Berber and Islamic Dynasties till the European Colonization (France /Spain) in 1830 which explains the lingo franco being french in a mostly islamic country.

The Legacy of Vicente Guerrero, Mexico's First Black Indian President published Dec 18, 2001, the late by Theodore G. Vincent
"Guerrero was born inTixtla, a town 100 kilometers inland from the port of Acapulco, in the Sierra Madre del Sur; his parents were María de Guadalupe Saldaña, of African descent and Pedro Guerrero, a Mestizo. Guerrero was tall and robust, and dark complected, and he was at times called El Negro."
You can also read La Población Negra de México by the late anthropologist and professor at the University of Vera Cruz in Mexico. BTW, I did not say he was African. Here is my quote, "the 2nd president of Mexico was of African descent". So, if you are using Mestizo as racially mixed, then, you are correct, "he was Mestizo and predominantly Native American" Being of African descent means that he also was descended from Africans as well as Europeans and Native Americans. We have people like this here in the United States. They are called Melungeon. President Abraham Lincoln was Melungeon. Somehow you saw the word "African" and took the word out of context. I don't even disagree with you. I just reiterate my stance.

If you *google the word 'Blackamoor'* (which was the European name for a Moorish person ...which literally meant *'Black as a Moor'* you'll see how the Moors really looked)
There has been an attempt hide and whiten this history by European Historians because of the existence of Racism white supremacist patriarchy.

The reason for the North African ancestry is the Spanish ancestry. Centuries ago Moors from North Africa conquered Spain and had significant impact on shaping Spanish culture - especially the Spanish language which has many Arabic and Arabic derived words, like "el" which comes from the Arabic "Al". So the North African ancestry basically hitched a ride through the Spanish ancestry because many or most Spaniards have some North African ancestry due to the Moors conquering them for some time before Spain came to the New World.

Californio - That's what they all say about Black scholars, even when they are not marxists. They said the same things about J.A. Rodgers back in the 1920's in the USA. But of course in Europe (excluding England and colonies) and the rest of the world he received several high honors for his work, which is all the more relevant today, because a lot of his proof was destroyed or replaced by Nazi SS racial investigative groups set up by Himmler. Anthropology origins are rooted in bias, always has had links to Eugenics, the USA inspired the Nazi "racial hygiene" movement, in fact. Invoking Anthropology is far from making an impartial argument. It's like comparing a sporting fencing match to an dark alley fight with broken bottles and brass knuckles...

Aztec was the name of just one tribe out of many who shared the same language and religion. After the Aztecs established dominance over the others, the population of the empire were called "Mexica". Besides, there were many other ethnicities that still exist today, zapotecos, mixtecos, purépecha, mayas, etc. So, it's really inaccurate to say you descend from the Aztecs.

A lot of Mexicans have features that hint towards possibly being Afro-Latinx but a lot of them refuse to make that connection as there is a lot of pride for being Mexican and also even a lot of racism towards other races. So finding out you’re African as a person who’s always been content with just being Mexican can always be a bit of a shock.
Most Mexicans have straight hair and a tannish complexion but my mother has 3C curly hair and a lot of her family have very very dark akin, but even so, she refuses to believe she might have African lineage.

476 Anno Domini Genetics work based on dominant and recessive traits being carried down through generations. Just because they haven’t been in a place for a while, doesn’t mean they can’t carry those traits. People with Japanese heritage in Mexico make up 2% of the population (maybe even 6% now), and even so, a grand majority of people in Mexico have those familiar and distinctive Asian features like fine straight hair, mono-lids and much more. Mexico is a melting pot itself, and though many of the different ethnicities that make up the population in Mexico haven’t recently been present, they can still be VISIBLY present in the faces of the people of today - thanks to genetics.

Even if Spain was never inhabited by Africans, do your ealize how close Spain is to the HUGE continent of Africa? Also, Northern Africa was not always "arabic" looking. And the Aztecs original ancestors were the Olmecs. Look up Olmec statues. The pyramids in Mexico are very similar to African pyramids. Olmecs were Africans. Africans traveled the world as discoverers and respected the land. Europeans travelled as conquerors and little respect for the land unless it made them wealthy monetarily. It's not difficult to understand why you are African... but what is difficult is that so many people do not know that all human race came out of Africa.

I saw an Asian young lady's DNA video the other day and she got only two hits or whatever you call it. They were Chinese and Native American.
It baffled me because I would think that she would have an ounce of African in her blood somewhere but according to her, she only has Chinese and Native American.
The Native American comes from the Mongolian stock who were the ancestors of the Natives who came over into the new land crossing the Bering Straight some 13,000 to 23,000 years ago. So its understandable that she got the Native DNA through her Mongolian ancestors. However, she didn't read off any African results in her DNA which surprises me.
I am going to continue to look at different ethnic groups to see if the African DNA shows up in their results. Of the few white folks that I have looked at, they showed African DNA and everyone else that I looked at did too. However, I've only seen a tiny few different DNA videos from people who are non black. I happen to be black myself.

Another thing is white have been mixing more so with whites and white DNA is not indicating black ancestry why not?. Are these DNA programs Legitimate? Police Forensic science in the criminal lab investigation unit, Flatly state three dominate racial groups - Negroid, caucasoid and mongloid as in asian. They have all Native Americans as predominately asiatic. The genetic mark found on asian babies have this mongolian spot on the spinal area or lower backs. This is found in all asiatic infants and disappears at about 9 year of age. Non-asian babies have been found with this birth mark in some cases but is a rule in the case of Asian children.

Hi Ritchie, hi guys! I hope you're all well. I just came across your AncestryDNA video & i was so interested to see your results. This is going to be a long msg, so i do apologise in advance. You guys should be so proud, as your results are so wonderful. We must all be very proud of our roots, as we are who we are. We are made up, of all the genetic codes of all our ancestors, so we must be proud & i'm so glad, that you guys were so happy to see one of your results. I see many out there, who pick & choose what they want to be & seem to push away, or forget about, what they don't want to be. This is really hurtful & wrong. Why? Bec it's not paying proper respectful homage to ALL of our ancestors. When we reject, we are essentially "denying" a specific ancestor, or set of ancestors, who survived & made it possible, for us all to be alive today. Just a few facts though, that i'd like to point out. In ref to your overall results, do remember, that these percentages are only "approximations" & are never exact equations for your "true" genetic code for ethnicity inheritance. This is why, upon each "DNA update" you'll notice that your results change. These changes will include both regions & percentages. This is normal, bec as the DNA databases grow, so too, your DNA results. Also, with regions, there are many global regions, that as of yet, are not even included in these DNA tests, so with time, most us who've taken DNA tests, will see many changes. I always say to people, don't take your DNA test too seriously, bec although it gives you a really great insight, into whereby many of your ancestors may have originated from, or passed through & settled within, it's certainly not always 100% concrete information. Certainly not yet, unless you know of exact regions, via having done your ancestral paper trail, going back hundreds of years. Also, "no two" immediate relatives, will ever receive the exact same DNA results, so, if you want to know exactly what each of you have inherited from your countless ancestors, you should "all" have your DNA test taken. Each person inherits their DNA completely "randomly" & as we only inherit 50% of our parents DNA, this means, that their other 50% was not inherited. This means, that as we don't inherit all 100% of our parents DNA, there's 50% missing within each of us & upon each ensuing generation. Even if 7 or more family members get tested, they still will "not" see "all" ancestral DNA genetics showing up within each of us. This i because of the "random" nature of DNA inheritance, but also because of the "window of resolution" for our inheritance patterns. Obviously the farther back we go ancestrally, the lesser the % becomes, but not always. Also, we do not inherit our DNA from all our ancestors, our Grandparents in "exact blocks". This is a long held belief, that we always inherit 25% from each Grandparent. We do not. We can inherit "more" DNA from one Grandparent over another, but their "combined total" will equal the 50% per Grandparent set. Also, as borders are only "man made" & race in & of itself, is only a "social construct, created by man himself, it should never surprise any of us, when we see all sorts of ethnic regions showing up within our DNA. It's so ignorant & naive of people, to judge each other ethnically, just bec of the way we all appear on the "outer shell". What we look like on our outer, is not what our "inner DNA" story tells. You can be dark & still have much Caucasian ancestry. You can be very pale skinned & even blue eyed, yet, still carry African or non-European DNA. At the end of the day, every single human being, no matter where they come from, all have ancient ancestors who originated from Africa. The cradle of civilization. I recently watched this ridiculous video, regarding whether or not, Europeans are a "separate race". This could not be farther from the truth. All Europeans & all global humans, originate from exactly the same places. We all have ancient ancestors who left Africa & made eventual colonization of the world. Modern men left Africa & he started to "physically metamorphosis" as he moved throughout varying global regions. This process took thousands of years, but it did happen. By the time he arrived in NW Europe, he grew paler in colour, only bec his pale skin would be much better able to absorb Vit D, as there was imply not enough sunlight in NW Europe & is still the same to this day. The opposite is true for Africa. People had naturally darker skin, more skin pigmentation, so they'd have natural protection against the hot sun. This was natures way of ensuring health safety for we humans. So, there is an absolute science behind skin colour, eye colour & our physical appearance. Many people "wrongly equate" physical appearance with "race" & they do not understand the "absolute science" regarding why people look the way they do. I always ask people, to do personal research on the true science behind our physical appearance. We live in a sad world, whereby we pick on each others appearances, bec we simply are not educated enough to fully understand the history of mankind & the true meanings behind race & physical appearance. Caucasian historians, (who by the way are NOT white, but simply a paler shade of "flesh tone"), always rewrote history, to suit their own needs of "supposed" racial "superiority". The word "white" to denote skin colour &/or physical appearance, was "only" used/created by early European colonizers in the Americas. There were early settlers from varying global regions & bec all these people belonged to varying religious denominations, they were quickly referred to by their race & not simply as "humans/people". The true shade of "white" would equate to the shade of A4 paper. Just as, the true shade of "black" would equate to the shade of black shoe polish. Humans are in truth, never this white, or this black, no matter where we go globally. Also, in ref to eye colour, there is NO such thing as "black eyes", even though they may truly appear black. They are really, the darkest shade of dark brown, yet, they falsely appear black. The truth is, we all have light coloured eyes underneath this fine, dark pigment. This is all dark eyes are made of. A fins dark "pigment" which covers the front of our iris & this pigment would have evolved to protect people from hotter, sunnier climates, so their eyes would be fully protected from external elements. There's a scientific reason for our eye colour. Also, please do check out, in ref to DNA inheritance.....DNA Recombination & DNA Methylation. These 2 scientific factors, will help you to really understand why we must all get tested, if we want to find out much more regarding our overall ancestry. In ref to All Mexicans being very dark in colour, this is NOT true at all. There are countless Mexicans, or Mexicans of mixed ancestry, who are a mixture of skin & eye colour shades. Btw, your brother, he does look more so a "mixture of many ethnic groups". He does look more so, "racially ambiguous". It's interesting to see how even within the "same" family, you can end up with many different physical characteristics/looks. Again, this is bec of the "random" way that we all inherit our DNA. It's truly interesting. Finally, i always say, racism is a serious disease of the human mind. It's perpetuated by sheer ignorance & a proper lack of education. Proper & truthful education, would definitely make more positive global connections for us humans. We all share 99.5% of our overall human DNA, with only a .5% variance. We're all much more "closely" related/connected than most would care to "accept & admit". All the best to all of you & thank you for sharing your results. Do get everyone tested. You're a lovely family & i'm sure you'll all be very surprised by your varied results. God bless. :-)

The Arabs that are seen in Northern Africa now are not the true North Africans. You are most likely picking that up from The Moors who ruled the Iberian Peninsula up until the late 1400's.

Which book did you read? Arab is not a race and the Arab world is made up of Caucasians and Africans with ancestral origins in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Who were the Navigators of Christopher Columbus Ships when he lied about discovering a new world ...yep Afro-Spaniards. How did they get there , they were African Moors who knew the Earth was not flat 500 years before the voyage. Why? Because Africans were traveling across the Atlantic when Europeans thought they would fall off of the Earth. Berbers are a mix of Caucasoid and Sub Saharan African, Arabs are a mix of Caucasoid and African. Arab conquest did not replace Africans it was a movement of unification under an Islamic rule that improved the life of many as they brought innovative ideas that still resonates to this day. Be careful of where you get your news because history is just that His Story and an attempt to wipe out the contributions of the 1st world.

Out of the 5 million Africans deported from their country thru the slave trade, only 450,000 made it to the United States. Tragically, it was easier to get them to live by offloading them into Brazil and the Islands. So from my research, there is African blood in most Spanish speaking people who live on Islands or the Coasts.

@NicoleBrown-s6t Yes, there is evidence that African people were in the Western Hemisphere before Columbus and Transatlantic slavery. However, many Africans were brought to the Western world during slavery and they made great sacrifices and contributions despite the oppression they faced. We can not erase that part of history just because some were here before Columbus/slavery.
