It's not a problem to not trim the roots- they will still grow well. Trimming simply stimulates new growth for a short period which helps a plant get started in the substrate.
@XXGOLDENXXDRAGONXX No, eurasianchica is right - valis dry out very quickly when they are out of water, so it is important to plant them into a tank that has enough water in for the whole valis to be resting on the water. So the aquarium does not have to be full when you plant them. It is easier to plant into the aquarium if it has just a few inches of water in it. Also, when preparing them you can spray them with water from time to time to stop them drying out.
Idk whats wrong with my vallisneria but I plant it it seems fine for like 5 days then the leaves start turning brown and transperant . How do I fix this?
hi i live in the uk really like val but the only val i can find is Vallisneria americana var. asiatica but i woul really like to find Vallisneria americana gigantea to shade my tank does any one know a place near central london were i can find this
I tried planting this in my tank today with my fluval big giant tweezer things and it kept floating up. I eventually used my finger to press it into the gravel and later today it was up and float again. Is there a way to weight them down somehow?
Are you talking during this video? I can’t hear any sound and would probably be more helpful if you could explain into further detail for those who are beginners.
Anybody; my Vallisneria is growing OK, but not as green as it should be. What need to be done? (I also have DIY CO2 going on). Steel, color is somewhat yellowish. Anyone can help?

It's normal... That's just meltback because of different water chemistry... Leave it in there and it should start to shoot out new leaves.
