    Thanks Joe. Can you please advise some of the costs etc around track days, eg insurance etc. Also maybe if you cover off some of the etiquette stuff around track days, dos and don'ts that would be great.

    Thanks for this information. Great video. I have a 911c4S manual. I'm looking forward to my first ride on the track next month, the first Ladies Day at the track by PCA-Chicago!

      Thanks for the great tip on the app. Can that app connect to older (991.1) generation cars? I will look in to it. Thanks for watching!!

    Joe, great video as-usual. 991.1 GTS C4 here, Seattle. I've done autocross, but not closed-course...yet. Almost all the rules you specify apply to motorcycles on track, too, except for parking brake obviously. As for track gas, seldom purchased it (we carried fuel cans to the track anyway). Trail braking: on a bike, a bit of that on the rear stabilizes the chassis under extreme front braking, but only applied when I had my Expert license after 1.5 years and (many) races. I see why they don't want you to unload the front on (our) cars, though. Not sure how a C4 would react compared to a C2! I'm surprised they didn't mention that on exceptionally hot days, the track gets greasy by the afternoon and traction falls off too after a number of hot laps (greasy tires, greasy track). That put me in the weeds once on a bike. You're encouraging me to sign up for a "real" Beginner's track day with PCA this coming year! Keep up the great videos, btw: your production values are excellent.

    Another great video Joe! I just wanted to chime in on your "buying gas at the track" point. I do agree. However, for those of us with octane specific ecu tunes, (100+ octane or more), many professional tracks offer this as an alternative to having to lug a 5 gallon container of race fuel to the track.

      OK, I understand. That makes a lot of sense.

    Hey Joe how are you my friend ,so I got my 19 GTS about 3 weeks ago loving the hell out of it .. Have to pinch myself some times . I’ve been meaning to write and ask some questions so here goes ,I noticed right away how these Beutiful wheels get filthy very easily..Your wheels are always so amazingly pristine in the vids they appear more glossy than stock ..So my question is what do you use to keep them looking so nice ? I hope you can share I understand if you can’t .. keep up the good work

    Hi, how did u print your car numbers? I tried using a Word document but wouldn't format. I've been buying temporary vinyl numbers online @ $50 ... most recent local place wanted $150. Great video ... thank you!

      I went to a store that creates magnetic signs and had 3 signs made with my #s. Then use packing tape and secure 3 edges on ea sign (the 3 edges that face fwd). Leaving the 4th side open allows be to grab an edge to pull the #s off.

    Why do you have blue tape on the front by the headlights?

    • @Joe_Hutchinson
      @Joe_Hutchinson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since I was new to track days, I put blue tape on the car to protect it from debris that may fly up and hit the car. As it turns out, this isn't necessary. The paint protection film is more than strong enough. For example, when approaching another car from behind to pass it, that car may kick up rubber which can strike your car and leave a mark. That mark comes off easily with proper car cleaning.
