@@josecuestas7246 a FFVii movie would be hot trash, how could you boil that down to even 3 hours ? There is more than 3 hours of content just in storming shinra HQ if you do it right…it would have to be a TV Show, and season 1 would end when they arrive at the base of Shinra HQ…the entire second season would be based on the Shinra HQ events, ending with the escape from the building and the revelation that Sephiroth is alive….season 3 would be the trip to Kalm, the flashback, midgar slalom, meeting the Turks, followed by the traveling to Junon, with an episode dedicated to meeting Yuffie and her helping out as the team stumbled across Fort Condor…season 4 would be the events of Junon, a bunch of backstory around the Turks and Rufus, and would end with the first battle against Jenova…how could you fit all of that into a single movie…hell, how could you fit all that into a trilogy of movies ?? It would be horrible…

I'd say Henry Cavill as Sephiroth. Gotta keep up the trend of Sephiroth being played by Superman, with George Newbern in Advent Children (who voiced Superman in the animated series as well as the Justice League animated series, Justice League Unlimited and the Injustice games) and Tyler Hoechlin in FF7 Remake (who played Superman in the CW Supergirl show, and in Superman and Lois).
hayden christensen honestly blew me away as a casting choice for Rufus, really great choice, also very ironic to have Luke be Anakin's father here, nice touch ;)

Please, I hope this DOESN't happen. Hollywood would just destroy a beloved frachise/story like Dragonball Evolution. Hollywood, if you're seeing this, move along, there is nothing to see here.
The FFVIII trailer works because you are free to imagine what the characters could look like, but this one doesn't because we already have actors associated with the characters, it wouldn't look right without Brianna White or Britt Baron playing their iconic roles and even people like President Shinra or Reno, the graphics are so good in the games that it would be hard to cast actors who didn't look almost identical to the ingame visuals.
@haileeraestout5567 why? Aerith is the reason FF7 barely makes it into my top five FF games. She has one of the personality types I hate the most in real people.. to the point I hated Sephiroth for k-stealing. If I had to watch a show and had to put up with her for the entire run... it would be like playing Borderlands and not being allowed to hit claptrap every time you pass by him (bad example but I’m tired.)
They would butcher it like they did with death note. Thankfully the remake trilogy is doing a good job at adapting the original material in a modern way.
Honestly I wish they would stop making live adaptations of video games and anime, because in my opinion they just end up changing so much of its original story and the acting can either be really good or just plain bad.
@joshuacunnigham3646 Step 1 hire Peter Jackson. Step 2 give him full control. Step 3 if anyone from corporate tries to interfere backhand them (see The Hobbit for examples why this must be done.) Step 4 keep the added CGI to a minimum. Honestly that’s really all that’s needed atm… hopefully we can eventually get another director who is willing to honor the source material, but for now we just have him and Costner outside of the far East… and Costner barley counts.

Please people let's not ruin Final Fantasy VII with a Live Action concept. I love this game and I don't need people to destroy it with a LIVE ACTION CONCEPT. All my favorite games and anime have all been destroyed by Live Action. Mario, Doom, Monster Hunter, DragonBall Z, etc etc.

Honestly I could see Tom Holland playing the gruff tribesman of Red XIII. I forgot his name but he was basically always “you should leave” when you tried to talk to him. For Red XIII I would want Wes Studi or Dean Cain. For the chieftain it would have to be Graham Greene or James Earl Jones. For Cait Sith, Chris O’Dowd or Colin Farrell.

"Hayden Christensen as Rufus Shinra" If this film was made 20 years ago, I would have said Leonardo diCaprio. He actually looks like Rufus Shinra, and it wouldn't be too dissimilar to roles he has played before. He's been a rich playboy in _The Great Gatsby_ and an asshole businessman in _The Wolf Of Wall Street,_ so Rufus would be right up his alley.
nope. this rando nobody got all these celebutards to act in this movie thats coming out in less than 6 months that no one has heard before except for this one and only "trailer" the entire planet of gaia has been built past saturn just for this movie and every city and structure in ffvii as well. and this movie, a live action remake of a video game that literally TENS of people have asked for, will cost over $1000000000000000000000, not including the cost of the planet itself.
The price of this cast alone could pay for a few films. Imagine the price of the visual effects, not to mention that you would need at least 3 films to tell the story, which would increase the team's salary.
Karl Urban and Keanu Reeves are not good casting here instead. Kenneth Branagh as Heidegger and Bill Skarsgard as Hojo. Kenneth can sell his character with little screen time and Hojo is a villain throughout the story (some even say he is the stories main antagonist). Jenova be a stunt woman/ performer and shouldn't be a big name. Keanu can play Vincent Valentine. Karl Urban can play Biggs.
I gotta mark my calendar on what day and the year this will arrive!! It’s what Final Fantasy fans need is the live action. There has been an animated movie. The main actors surprised me quickly what role they’re playing as they appeared on the screen. Definitely gonna be a countdown to get the movie started. I can’t wait!!

I'm a fan of the final fantasy saga (7 is my third favorite), I can say with certainty that these actors in no way reflect the essence and character of the characters in question! reeves being hojo..... I've already said it all! but I appreciate the work you did!
The video was well made and I give it a thumbs up for all the hard work, as for the likely chance that Square Enix will sign off on such an idea to live-action is very unlikely as Square always intended for any movies to be CGI Rendered editions of their original game and all of the spin-off movies of Final Fantasy have always been CGI with Voice Acting, so it is more likely that as graphics improve the characters will still be CGI in movies but more lifelike such as Unreal Engine 5.4 and beyond. Everytime a game has been made into a movie you put it at the mercy of youtube critics and Rotten Tomatoes which ultimately would tarnish the entire Final Fantasy franchise and it is for this reason why we have never seen a live action final fantasy of any kind, it's Square's Golden Goose that in the end saved it from Bankruptcy with Final Fantasy 1. Square is unlikely to take such a big risk especially since graphics now have gotten incredibly close to real life.
Okay, so I'm so totally up for this "up for grabs" ideation of fan pitches through video presentation for movies. But mostly in a "meh" kind of way... But Scarlett Johansen as Genova gave me goosebumps.

I think the actors who voiced Tifa and Cloud should reprise their roles, since they look so much like their characters. Everything else is perfect though.

You would get a 2-3 hour movie that either has a lot of plot holes, a bunch of shit that makes zero sense and has nothing to do with the actual series, or an entirely new story that we're not even used to. Look at Mortal Kombat. The Mortal Kombat lore is amazing and look what happened to it....

The FFVIII trailer works because you are free to imagine what the characters could look like, but this one doesn't because we already have actors associated with the characters, it wouldn't look right without Brianna White or Britt Baron playing their iconic roles and even people like President Shinra or Reno, the graphics are so good in the games that it would be hard to cast actors who didn't look almost identical to the ingame visuals.

Honestly I wish they would stop making live adaptations of video games and anime, because in my opinion they just end up changing so much of its original story and the acting can either be really good or just plain bad.

Karl Urban and Keanu Reeves are not good casting here instead. Kenneth Branagh as Heidegger and Bill Skarsgard as Hojo. Kenneth can sell his character with little screen time and Hojo is a villain throughout the story (some even say he is the stories main antagonist). Jenova be a stunt woman/ performer and shouldn't be a big name. Keanu can play Vincent Valentine. Karl Urban can play Biggs.

I'm a fan of the final fantasy saga (7 is my third favorite), I can say with certainty that these actors in no way reflect the essence and character of the characters in question! reeves being hojo..... I've already said it all! but I appreciate the work you did!
The video was well made and I give it a thumbs up for all the hard work, as for the likely chance that Square Enix will sign off on such an idea to live-action is very unlikely as Square always intended for any movies to be CGI Rendered editions of their original game and all of the spin-off movies of Final Fantasy have always been CGI with Voice Acting, so it is more likely that as graphics improve the characters will still be CGI in movies but more lifelike such as Unreal Engine 5.4 and beyond. Everytime a game has been made into a movie you put it at the mercy of youtube critics and Rotten Tomatoes which ultimately would tarnish the entire Final Fantasy franchise and it is for this reason why we have never seen a live action final fantasy of any kind, it's Square's Golden Goose that in the end saved it from Bankruptcy with Final Fantasy 1. Square is unlikely to take such a big risk especially since graphics now have gotten incredibly close to real life.

You would get a 2-3 hour movie that either has a lot of plot holes, a bunch of shit that makes zero sense and has nothing to do with the actual series, or an entirely new story that we're not even used to. Look at Mortal Kombat. The Mortal Kombat lore is amazing and look what happened to it....
