UNC Names General Election Candidates For St Ann's East, San Fernando West

The United National Congress is gearing up for battle in the General Elections as the party presented two candidates during its National Congress in Couva on Sunday.
The Chair of the party's Women's Arm, Kenya Charles, is the UNC's candidate for St. Ann's East, while Senator Sean Sobers is the party's candidate for San Fernando West.
Political Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar declared nominations open for 39 seats. She said the party would leave the two Tobago seats for the people of Tobago.
She said it is imperative that the UNC gives young people the opportunity to be in Government, as she pledged not to reconstitute and rebrand the UNC prior to 2015.
