Anderson is a city in and the county seat of Anderson County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 26,686 at the 2010 census, and the city was the center of an urbanized area of 75,702. It is one of the principal cities in the Greenville-Anderson--Mauldin Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a population of 824,112 at the 2010 census. It is further included in the larger Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, South Carolina Combined Statistical Area, with a total population of 1,266,995, at the 2010 census. Anderson is just off Interstate 85 and is 120 miles (190 km) from Atlanta and 140 miles (230 km) from Charlotte.
Anderson is the smallest of the three primary cities that makes up the Upstate region and is nicknamed "The Electric City" and "The Friendliest City in South Carolina". Anderson County was named an "All-America City" in 2000.
Anderson is the home of Anderson University, a selective private comprehensive university of approximately 3,400 undergraduate and graduate students.

i was there summer 1993 for 2 months as a student exchange, 1st trip to the states, had a great time, it was way more lively back then... it almost looks like a ghost town in this video
To be fair I think this was during the COVID stuff if I recall. It might be more active these days.

ANDERSON is a nice little town. I think the population is about •27,000• people.
Anderson is a quiet country 'town" very peaceful in the better areas - but it's 1960's if you like that it's a great place not too busy like Greenville or outside Nashville, TN - I like it !

Lived in anderson my whole life. Its pretty trashy, but the downtown area is nice to walk around and hang out at.
Not alot to do here in anderson besides the mall and movie theaters.

Depends on what you are looking for. I love it, hanging out on the lake, fishing the river, hitting downtown, relaxing with friends in quaint neighborhoods or in high end subdivisions... Lived here all my life, family been here since the 1760's and my Jersey wife loves it so we raised our kids here, and I'm welcome every where I go even those places most avoid.
This reminds me of my home state "Arkansas"

need fix roads in anderson
I got shot at in Anderson south Carolina walking out of Walmart. It wasn't for me but it made me think I was back in Richmond VA. It was kinda a car driving in the Walmart shopping center and shots were fired I was at The wrong place at the wrong time. Ofcourse no one saw anything 2 pm im the afternoon a crowded parkings lot and no One knew or saw nothing yeah right

It’s changed a lot in 3 years. And I think he recorded this on a Sunday as there’s hardly any traffic.
