That's a very troublesome comment. Do I sense a cringe inducing sense of inferiority, albeit modest? Hope my assessment is inaccurate. Why should an American feel that he's superior to me and get away with it. If anything I'm at a vantage point because I have an identity.

African Americans blend so well in South Africa nothing is of suprise or funny from food,music, clothes and the level of communication there is nothing that makes them feel off when they are here they feel like they are still at home unlike other brothers from other countries and remember these are my observations!
There is a huge disconnect and perhaps refusal to integrate with the locals, most brothers/sisters from other African nations often stick with their fellow country men especially within the social setting, it's the same in the US too.
That's because black Americans don't come to SA with any agenda unlike may other blacks. They also share similar struggles with us and i believe they see us as their reflection on this side of heaven
@@Karl3Lang But we do know why there is a disconnect between African Americans, Africans and other African diaspora within the USA. Truth be told that African Americans are not as receiving to us in the USA. They do turn to be condescending and arrogant towards Africans. But again I do notice that as a South African in the USA I do tend to be more open to friendships and acquaintance across every Black national and race whereas most of our African, Caribbean and Haitian counterparts tend to shrink themselves to their country people. So maybe the problem is not entirely on African nationals but also the attitudes of the locals. It is a conversation to be had...
That's because we African Americans are culture-less, for us, Africa is the motherland & anywhere we go to in Africa is automatically considered home.
Unlike Africans from other other African countries who already have their own African nationalities & African cultural identities, it's harder to integrate into another African culture.... Mainly because it's unnecessary. Why should an African become an African when he's already an African?
For example: when white Frenchmen come to England, they do not become British or abandon their French culture, they remain French... Just as Kenyans remain Kenyans in South Africa & South Africans remain South Africans in Ghana.

Here we pronounce it Dezemba. And we don't say "It's Dezemba".
The only allowed usage is "ke Dezemba..." no matter what your 1st language as an African.
