    Something completely different this week folks. What do you reckon? Would you like to see more reviews of Boutique and quirky accommodation in Scotland, or should we just stick to caravan, motorhome, and campervan content? Let us know. Thanks for tuning in! :)

    I don’t mind what videos you make as I like them all, you always give honest, interesting and informative reviews. Plus I love seeing Dougal. What a lovely place and the food looked amazing. Dougal definitely loved it as I could see him smile, so Andrew Dougal does smile now. By the way I like the ‘hello’ you do so don’t let people stop you doing it. Andrew could you please tell us if dogs get any food or do you have to bring it with you? Thank you.

    I already see your wonderful channel as an eclectic mixture of gear review, travel, camping, with a bit of train enthusiasm, not to mention humor and great videography added in just the right amounts. Reviews like this just seem like a natural addition/progression to me, someone who looks with relish towards your next endeavor. Superb!

    • @andrewjditton
      @andrewjditton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Doug! Sadly one or two folks call it 'self-indulgent', but as you completely understand, I'm just sharing our travels in exactly the same way as I've done on this channel for over 10 years, hopefully in a way that will make people smile. All the best.

    • @dougzirkle5951
      @dougzirkle5951 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrewjditton yes, I do feel as though I truly ‘get’ your channel. It boils down to a man, his dog, and his camera. It’s a pity someone would say self-indulgent, which has a decidedly negative connotation, when in reality nearly all TH-cam channels are by their very nature indulgent in that they are a reflection of each person capturing those places and times which they find interesting. And it’s done with the hopes that their audience will also find that interest as well. So walk, ride, and generally continue traveling with our friend Dougall, always with camera in hand, to your next interest. And I, for one, will look forward to the trip!

Would love to sit myself in one of those chill put cabins with a nice cuppa enjoying being out in the woods with such nice fresh air. The room also looks lovely and cosy. The bathroom is really posh. And they do live up to the vegan standard even with the bathroom accessories. Nice. The 5 course tasting dinner looked awesome. Oh dear! I see a few (look at me I'm perfect!) people who could just not watch but no they have to make scathing comments because they assume you should be bothered about them! Take no notice Andrew! I can just see them on their phones permanently fixed so much they have to be surgically removed from them every few weeks!! They never have 1 to 1 conversations with anyone as people find them so boringly tedious!! Right, finished now! Feel much better for that, I digress! We all love you whatever you do, it doesn't matter what they are about, we just love watching you and Dougal living your adventurous lives and if we don't fancy watching any of them (never happens!!) I keep forgetting this channel is in the main about motor homes which don't appeal...sorry ...but the Scottish Islands do as I'm luckily a frequent visitor plus hotels, and this one is now on my list. The food looked amazing:)

    Beautiful place indeed. Funny moment when I misread your soap bottle in the bathroom. It’s Fig and Vanilla of course and vegan. But I swear I saw Pig and Vanilla at first glance.

    Andrew, what a spectacular experience. Thank you for sharing. I love that they celebrate dogs...not just tolerate them. That dog-walk was heavenly. Ha. I'm plant-curious...love it! Please do more vids like this.

    It’s a great thing to have a treat and stay in a lovely hotel as you have done. As a long haul truck driver crossing the US and Canada I would live quite happily in my lovely Volvo truck for six weeks at a time. But once in awhile a treat was called for. So yes indeed I would love to see more of these reviews. I’m curious, what was on the menu for Dougal? I think my favourite night away from my truck was a cabin onboard the Queen Mary in long beach. Hmmm 🤔 is there vegan dog food?

      Wow, the Queen Mary sounds great! Like me Kevin, I could happily spend 6 weeks in a caravan (and have done so for many months at a time!) but a treat makes a change. I think you can get vegan dog food, but Dougal is an omnivore - another reason I don't like to describe myself as vegan, as I do still buy meat for the dog. Cheers!

    A hotel!!!? Loved it, it’s you and Dougal 😁 after all! You could do a video sleeping in your car and rate the experience and I’d still watch, ok - that might not be so great for the channel 😂 seriously though, good content as always 😀

    Good stuff, don't mind a bit of a change, mostly motorhomes and caravans is good. No problem with the odd diversion. I did have visions of the dog tethered to the desk running around dragging the table behind them!

    Hi Andrew. Heres a rather Quirky restaurant to review! Its on the main line as well, Corrour Station House. Might need the caravan though.

    Hi Andrew I really enjoyed this video! I also enjoyed the other video you did a while ago when you stayed in that lovely guest house in Yorkshire was it? These make a lovely change to the usual vids as well as the train vids too! I don't object to paying for quality and if it exceeds your expectations then that's a result I think. The food looked amazing and your room and the grounds were so lovely and peaceful! Yes I say to more of the same!! Thought you might drop the Discovery off up North, too much hassle to take it back down South! Please do more! Plus eateries in the OH, you haven't done any vids since you moved up there! Love to you and Dougal, take care of yourself and see you in the next one. Hugs xxx
