  • It has been a while since my last video - I have a couple of projects that were on hold due to breaking my collarbone and all the mental stress from a very difficult work situation. I would / should be at a hotel room preparing for Ironman Oregon 70.3 the next day, but here I am back at home recovering and healing. I am focusing for preparing for next season as opposed to rushing to get back into fitness; as such, I won't be racing the Chicago Marathon as originally planned this October.
I'll continue to post my recovery journey - the ups and downs and every major thing in between. In the mean time, I will continue to support the triathlon community with the athletes that I'm coaching. Tomorrow (as of this video posting), I'll be supporting my athlete that will be doing his very first triathlon at Seafair! It also was my first triathlon so a lot of nostalgia is there.
I'll be back in the long run. But for now, I will enjoy relaxing this summer and equally enjoy not putting in hard wattage in what has been the hottest summer ever here in the Pacific Northwest :)

You should really write a book. Hope you return to normalcy and a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear, I too had a bike crash on BG trail (near IMA) several years ago and went head over handlebars. Hope for speedy recover.

You are the third athlete who posted a video about breaking collarbone! (Eg Gwen Jorgensen today)
