I'm here to talk about things triathlon, workouts, coaching, mentoring, swimming, biking, running, sports medicine, nutrition, current events, and whatever gets thrown my way. The objective is to keep things open and honest and sometimes just straight to the point. I'll try to post videos twice a week (depending how my regular day job works) and keep the messaging simple.

12 K's of Christmas 2024 and a Preview of Races for 2025
My 2nd race (yes you saw that) of 2024 - not much racing this year as I've been out with injury all this time. A well run race for the most part...minus one really important thing (details in the time stamp as you will see!). My goal for this running event was to see what my body could do at a threshold effort. A good result from a performance standpoint, but a lot to work on for the next few months.

If I may ask, is paying 8000¥ for lounge access worth it?
is this lounge now in Terminal 2, is there one in Terminal 3 still? I'm flying air canada and they fly out of terminal 3
There is an ANA Lounge in Terminal 3, I haven't been to it in a while but from what I remember I personally think it's slightly better than the one in T2; albeit probably a bit more crowded with all the US/CAN travellers.

The Lake Sammamish Half is on the radar and I have run it a few times before. Not sure if I will run it as it's relatively close to when I travel and I don't know if it will fit into my training schedule... we shall see ;)

Is the lounge 24hr?
I don't believe it is in T2 - If memory serves me right, it goes from 6AM until 1 hour before the last flight of the night, which typically means around 11PM closing time.
Although i had lots of Sake in my younger days,i get a terrible headache now from drinking it...I can drink all the Champagne and wines i want and don't get it..although i do get a headache when i fly and drink too much,because of dehydration..I have to fly to Bangkok in February and have free tickets for Alaska Air,so will fly from there instead of Lax...
