1983 Travel Agency CED Videodisc- Rocky Mountain Ski Vacations

Another SUPER-rare CED videodisc, this was made for travel agencies by Vidmark Systems (no relation to the later Vidmark) for use with RCA's random-access player. This is played straight through on a regular player.
Audio overlaps because it was meant to use the dual-audio capability, which had audio track 1 in mono with track 2 recorded out of phase, the same way the surround track is encoded in movies. This player let me keep it in stereo mode for the duration, if you watch this with surround decoding the second track will play from the surround speakers.

Bless your heart for sharing this. I know it has to be captured in real time and finding a well maintained CED player is becoming very challenging. It is very easy on the eyes compared to modern day promotional content. I still enjoy the contrast and resolution of the CED format. Many people have yet to discover this old video format.

There are actually many seamless edits here, the disc had several skips which I could get rid of by re-playing and then editing out those points. I’ve done that with just about everything from CED.

@@TheMediaHoarder You should state such things on the description. I recently did something different regarding two broadcast recordings of the Richard Nixon Frost interviews. I seamed two 4:3 aspect videos along with two separate audio tracks (Left/Right). Perhaps you can do something similar regarding the audio of this CED Videodisc.
The free downloadable version of DaVinci Resolve allows such a thing along with many others. Here's something interesting. One of my Richard Nixon broadcast recordings were recently blocked due to a copyright claim. The version that is seamed with Dual audio was not blocked. This might be a "loophole" in TH-cam's copyright system.

@@renegonzalez6755 It might have detected something in the audio on the first one.
Look at my video called “Tape Restoration the Hard Way”- that was done from a Beta tape that kept clogging the heads, I just kept stopping the tape and cleaning the heads while capturing, I then seamlessly cut it so you can’t tell where it was stopped.

@@TheMediaHoarder I have stopped uploading lost media from the 1980s and 1970s on my TH-cam channel. That doesn't mean I no longer care about it. I have personal home recordings from the year 1983 and 1984 with a very young Tina Turner. They were recorded in a private dance studio in Los Angeles. I am thinking about uploading them to TH-cam but I might get in big trouble for doing so. I don't understand the legality of such things.
