- Join us for a tour of Hyatt Place Miami Airport - East
For a short layover, catching a cruise ship or a quick escape (especially if you like looking at airports and aircrafts), Hyatt Place Miami - East is a good option. We were upgraded to a Specialty Corner Room with views of a Cargo Boeing 747 and planes taking off which made this stay even more precious
We booked this Hotel using Hyatt points that we purchased and it saved us $60/night

Awesome video❤❤❤
Thanks! That was very helpful!
You are most welcome and thanks for letting us know
Khizar, you are super cute❤❤❤
Interesting video. Seems like you got a really nice and spacious room, with the floor to ceiling windows.
Airport hotels always have a purpose for travelers. While your family enjoys the sounds of aviation, I think your ulterior purpose suits me best as hotels like these are ideal when you have to head out somewhere the next morning (i.e. to the airport or off driving somewhere else). That's been my experience with airport hotels.
Because your flight was supremely cheap, I wonder how the numbers worked out for you flying into Fort Lauderdale vs. potentially flying into Miami and taking an Uber/Lyft to the Port of Miami for your cruise. Curious how the savings from the flight were offset by the cost of the hotel + rental car.
We love airport hotels for convenience (like you said) but also for the aviation/Planespotting part. As for our trip (Frontier using points from NY to FLL $195, overnight at airport baggage claim $0, National car rental FLL to MIA $0 using 2 free days, and $180 Hyatt hotel using points, we were under $500 and a flight to Miami during this week was roughly $1200. Plus we got an extra day in Miami. Our plan was to take the kids to a Alligator Tour but the massive Miami storm killed that day which is another reason why we stayed at the airport (avoided driving or being in a car to Miami during a torrential downpour). Hope this helps.
Can't tell you how many times we have juggled this same thing. Did it on a cruise from Galveston in February. Seems you prefer Hyatt. We usually go for Hilton with Diamond but have points on most hotels so the best deal cash or points is typical. Extra room for kids to run around is huge.. Excited to see a cruise video if you did one. We are considering MSC from Orlando or Miami eventually
We used to be Hyatt Globalist but are purposely trying to use everything now. Currently we have bookings on IHG, Hyatt, Marriott, VRBO, and AirBnB. Whatever offers the best deal and place. Our Carnival Cruise video is coming out tomorrow, Friday. That’s the one where the ship was delayed by 7 hours so a long day 1 experience. And yes, we are also eyeing couple of Miami MSC sailings
MSC has a one time status match if you haven't tried. They are picky so you get one time with best status you have. My wife's Hilton got her Diamond but my Wyndham Diamond only got Platinum me Gold
Nice awesome place you guys looking great with the kids please say the price of the places you go and explore
Thank you! Glad you liked the video. Feedback noted, we will include cost where we can. We have made some videos on how much we spend on hotels especially if we used points and it saves us money. You can check this out th-cam.com/users/shortsUUl5CloRvrg?si=gs19H1DEdbkm2tmB
Hola, el parqueo tiene un costo adicional?
Yes the parking has additional cost at this Hotel. Luckily at checkin they waved the parking fee for us since we were staying there one night and it was not that busy. (Sí, el aparcamiento tiene un coste adicional en este hotel. Afortunadamente, en el check-in nos retiraron la tarifa de estacionamiento ya que nos quedamos allí una noche y no estaba tan ocupado)
