Especially sad with the current knowledge regarding gambling being a form of addiction, not any different than alcohol or substance abuse. Pete wasn't a great human being, but he was an extraordinary baseball player and should have been recognized for his accomplishments before he passed. I was a season ticket holder for the Braves and got to see him play for the Phillies, but I no longer follow baseball and no interest in a sport that treats its members with such disrespect.
Dayton Ohio's Mike Schmidt knew that his friend Pete Rose was the missing piece for a Phillies Championship. Tom Seaver became a Red after the wheels of The Big Red Machine had started coming off. Big Doggie was gone.
No matter what Pete Rose during his life he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He wasn't blessed with a lot of talent. He pushed himself into greatness. Àll time hits leader. He almost broke DiMaggio's consecutive game hit streak. Pete Rose was MLB's top draw. Put him in the Hall of Fame.

@h61625 IF he had been convicted of murder maybe they would have, but he wasn't 🤷♂️
Stephen a cut a WWE Promo 😂😂🔥🔥
He bets 450k and gets banned, but ohtani bets 40 MILLION and gets a slap on the wrist. MLB is wrong for this
Ohtani didn’t even get a slap on the wrist. He got nothing! Why? Because they couldn’t find anything on him.
@@trevor8307 Ohtani has leverage. If MLB bans him he can FO to Japan and be a star there. Rose was a manager they weren't robbing themselves of any money to ban him.
Ohtani never got caught...it was his translator...stop insinuating
@@Howard6461 you just said he never got caught but I'm insinuating? Wonder where his interpreter got 40 mil from? But that would be insinuating
@@commodorezero Potential leverage doesn’t equal guilt.
Steven A. Smith,
I didn't used to like you due to some of your past positions and comments but, after this, I will always hold you in the highest regards. Thank you for speaking the truth and doing some justice towards Pete Rose. Now, I'm another fan of yours.
Charley hustle , my favorite baseball ⚾ player of all time .he played the game with energy and enthusiasm .he should be in the hall of Fame, for when he played , before the gambling took place. Rest in peace 🕊️ pete rose 🙏
Pete Rose=Captain of Hall of Fame! No one ever did more.
Barry Bonds, Sosa, McQuire=let them in too! kids loved them all!
Stephen A blazing the set with truth and FIRE!
Keep preaching Steven A. I am with you.
Ohtanhi Gambled on Baseball ⚾ this year. Smh. Pete Rose was a manager and they kept his Hall of Fame player career out. Smh
Anyone who had more hits than Cobb is great
I got to admit… I am a huge critic of Stephen A, i think at times he is completely full of it… but this is the greatest take of his life. I was extremely moved by his passionate defence of putting Pete in the HOF. Every word and syllable was a bullseye.
SAS deserves nothing but praise about this… MLB’s lack of forgiveness is criminal
Thank you Stephen A.
Steven A Smith is 100% right. Pete Rose should absolutely be in Coopers town.
My goodness amen guys
Stephen A was cooking🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hell yes spit those facts Stephen A!!!
Dayton Ohio's Mike Schmidt knew that his friend Pete Rose was the missing piece for a Phillies Championship.
Tom Seaver became a Red after the wheels of The Big Red Machine had started coming off. Big Doggie was gone.
I Have not watched another baseball game and I WON'T until they put that man in the Hall of Fame which he deserves!!! RIP MY HERO!!
Molly (again) it's "ne-VAD-a" rhyming with "mad" lol
No matter what Pete Rose during his life he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He wasn't blessed with a lot of talent. He pushed himself into greatness. Àll time hits leader. He almost broke DiMaggio's consecutive game hit streak. Pete Rose was MLB's top draw. Put him in the Hall of Fame.
Stephen A. is right
Man this is an epic rant by Stephen A smith
That was great
Rip Pete the hall of fame is nothing without you
Ok I like Mad Dogs setup back there
Rose will get in now that he's dead, but it's a crime that he had to die for MLB to let him in. You can't tell story of baseball without Charlie Hustle.
Hell yeah, go Stephen A!
